My husband and I love this little Indian spot in Bushwick. This is our third time here and every time it's been great. MD Shahadat help take care of us and the food was amazing. We came for a light meal today, we got the Pakoras (this amazing cauliflower app we always get), garlic naan, and the mixed tandoori app. The food comes out pretty quickly and everything we've tried so far has been delicious. Best Indian food I've ever had. I got the saag with potatoes and garlic naan as well as the vegetable samosa. The samosa was enormous and very filling but luckily I could make room for the garlic naan (which was delicious) and the saag. The basmati rice had good flavor and the saag was delicious. I called in to place a takeout order and they were very nice about helping me navigate finding a good gluten free option--most stuff was gf but I still have to check so I really appreciate the willingness to explain. Got lemon rice, saag and butter chicken and it was all SO good! Mango lassi was a lil sweet for my taste but I want to try a different flavor next time. Man, I never leave yelp reviews but this place is the BEST. I have been ordering takeout from this place for over a year now and it's ALWAYS consistent and ALWAYS good. The meats always have the perfect level of char, the staff is always so kind, and the food is always so hot!! We ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala-- and wow it's mind blowing how the spices are just first, the chicken was cooked to perfection (I tend not to eat the chicken just because I'm worried it's not cooked properly) but I ate all the pieces in this one. We also got the naan and it was delicious-- not burnt which some places tend to do especially when ordering delivery. The only thing that I can say is they are on the more expensive side-- the Naan was $3 each-- that strange. The overall menu looked a little pricey. *UPDATE- LOL! just wanted to let everyone know I got a private message by "mohammad" who works there. He wanted to let me know of the...new item..that they have on the menu. These people are insane. But if you still happen to go be sure to ask him about their new dish. Pic attached* My chicken breast tikki masala, as detailed on the menu, was made with dark meat. Now, i been eating chicken since I had teeth so I know the difference. completely dishonest and disgusting. The guy taking the order rushed to the point of attempting to finish our sentences. " We have ice cream." -aggressively points to menu " we'll take..." and then he screams out " MANGO!" we say "no...we'll take pistachio" ...it's then revealed that he doesn't actually know how to pronounce pistachio (or know what it is), so he just through that out. He also delivered it halfway through the meal without clearing dishes despite the fact that we told him to deliver it at the end. He then oddly looked at us like "where are you going to put the ice cream?" Both he and the owner were incredibly loud, rudely screaming at delivery customers as the other patrons ate uncomfortably. "no. that's not what you got!! we Gave you what you ordered!!" Long story short, it's a crazy old indian guy owner, who's mean and who's trying to cheat you with low grade meat. Had dinner at Desi Grill with my family. This is a top notch Indian restaurant. We had a variety of different dishes. Started with the Lasuni Gobi, which I really liked. The garlic and tomato sauce went with the cauliflower perfectly. For entrée with had the Chicken Tikka Masala. I thought it was excellent. Flavorful with the right amount of spice. We also ordered the Garlic Naan and it was the perfect combination with the chicken. The price was very reasonable and the staff was friendly. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I really enjoyed the food here, so I'll definitely be back. read more

Best naan I've ever had in my life. So so so good. We also ordered saag paneer with homemade cheese and bhindi masala (delicious okra and tomatoes) for $11 each. They come with plenty of rice, as well as yummy papad chips. They nicely separate each menu section into vegetarian and non-vegetarian, with plenty of options for both. Came with one container of tomatoy chicken goodness and another with rice. I of course had to get an order for their garlic naan, which was warm, buttery and garlicky. Perfect to mop up some sauce. Tried out the lunch special today: I got lamb and it was a insane amount of food! Lamb curry and rice was separated with a additional spare plate so you could take a little at a time and choose how you wanted to tackle it. Naan bread was great, soft and pillowy and everything I wanted it to be. For desert I grabbed the mango kulfi for $4 and it was dense and rich and what it should be. It was a little icy but that is expected so I'd wait a few minutes for it to melt before you tackle it with the tiny desert spoon. On the plus side, this desert doesn't melt easily so you don't have to worry about eating it quickly. The place itself is quiet and clean - the inside dining is intimate which is fine with me. Service is prompt plus they take credit cards for orders over $10 which is not common in Bushwick. I came out of this with leftovers as well, so it is a good amount of food for your average person. read more

We had an order of chicken shahi korma(cubes of boneless chicken breast cooked in mildly spiced almond, cashew and saffron flavored creamy gravy) Garlic shrimp bhuna (marinated shrimp cooked with onion, ginger, tomatoes and herbs in a thick rich sauce)and some *cheese spinach naan* is the way to go you guys!! They were all so fragrant and delicious I had forgotten to take a picture of them before eating. Food were ready on time and it was still warm even though I got there a little later to pick up. Delivery was on time so that's the only reason for the one star. Otherwise, food was cold, wrong order was delivered and the flavors were probably the worst I've had in a while. I'm Pakistani and have grown up eating Pakistani/Indian cuisines and this left a lot to be desired. I highly suggest that concentrating on making your entire menu good rather than 3 dishes. I ordered a chicken meal and it didn't even come with rice or a side of bread, I had to order those separately. The bill came to about $60 for two very small dishes.
