Exceptional customer service!! I was a bit nervous as, it was my first time in a float spa. Kristina immediately put me at ease with her warm and grounded energy. I was very impressed with the world class amenities and equipment. Easy access with plenty of parking a block away from the 111. From beginning to end a truly sublime & wonderful experience. and, a much needed reset to my entire system and crazy busy lifestyle. Highly recommend! Thank you read more

I recently booked a massage at this spot and it was wonderful! My husband scheduled a Float spa session as well and enjoyed himself. It was easy to make a reservation here for a Sunday morning. They do require a portion of the payment to keep reservations but it is applied towards the service once you are done on the day of your appt. My masseuse was Martha and she was very friendly. My massage was really relaxing. The space was comfortable. I'll definitely be back during our next trip to Palm Springs! read more

I've been to many massage therapists in the past, but none have fully alleviated the pain I've felt. As a former CrossFit instructor, who now primarily enjoys doing calisthenics, I tend to experience the aches and pains that are part-and-parcel to living an active lifestyle; as they say: no pain, no gain. And, due to the lack of efficacy in the past, the expense of getting a massage regularly didn't seem worth it. I came to Desert Serenity Float & Spa simply for the float; it's a great way to let go of tension and relax. I saw that there was one opening still available for a massage, so I decided to add that, too. I'm so glad I did. Kristina gave me the best massage I've had to date. She didn't just go through the motions, she took the time to notice pockets of tension in my body, and gave them the attention I didn't realize they needed. I left feeling no more back pain, greater range of motion, and deep gratitude to have found a massage therapist capable of helping me live a more pain-free life. Highly recommend. Regardless of your level of activity, our bodies carry tension from past injuries, from repetitive actions, and from the emotional stress we often don't realize we carry. I've come to see massage therapy not as a luxury, but as a necessity, a means to regularly maintaining a body that is in constant flux. And Kristina with Desert Serenity Float & Spa is one of the absolute best massage therapists in the game. Go see her, and tell her Michael sent you. read more

Highly recommend! Friendly, clean and love their menu of services. They actually make you feel comfortable and not just another body coming in. I can't wait to come back! read more

From my 1st interaction making an appointment, to the greeting when I entered the business, to the dressing room and finally the service, the experience is top notch! I needed a massage so bad, I needed it as soon as possible. When I called to explain my agony, I was so happy I was able to be fit in that day. I could barely lift my arm above my shoulder, Krista is so in tune and worked to relieve the pain. To this day, 2 weeks later, I am still without issues. Now I am able to have feel good massages, but her deep tissue massage will fix what ails you! I highly recommend Desert Serenity Spa and Float! read more

I booked a couples massage for my wife and I following our wedding and we showed up at 2pm on a Monday during the time we had agreed upon and no one was there nor did they answer their phone... despite claiming to be open 7 days a week. Not really one to leave bad reviews but following a week of running around and moving things in the hot desert sun, it would have been nice to have this experience or just some communication on if there was an issue with the timing/date beforehand. read more

This place is a brand new gem! I tried the depervation tank for the first time followed by a deep tissue massage. My experience was so amazing. love this place! I have done a couple floats here and I realized it's not really my thing. But rooms were very clean and private. What I can highly recommend are the massages. I've had several here, over the last couple years and they have never disappointed. Professional, responsive and courteous. So please don't think of this place as only a "Float Spa" But also as one of the best in the valley for a massage. read more

Nothing like constantly being reminded of bad customer service. This spa may be treating the patrons that can actually get in through their front doors well but they sure aren't nice people towards online reviews. My experience many years ago was met with extremely unhelpful responses from the owner. It has been five years and now they are claiming I should call them first before I write a review? You didn't pick up the phone, that's not my fault. read more

I was skeptical originally to book a massage here, but I'm so glad I did. I read some of the reviews prior to booking and a few people said to do the float before the massage so that's exactly what I did. The flow was so relaxing. I think I fell asleep. My body was in so much pain when i came here that the float alone made me feel tons better. I showed up a little late because I drove an hour and hit traffic on my way but they still let me float for approx 40 minutes... an hour would have been perfect but next time i'd probably do a longer float. The massage was perfect- honestly one of the best massages I've ever had. They used a few hot towels throughout the service, provided a robe and slippers so you can shower before and after the float... my body feels 20x better than when i walked in here. Not to mention I think i was the only customer they had and i booked same day. Don't wait- book your appointment. read more

Wow! Just finished a double-feature at Desert Serenity and can't remember feeling so relaxed. The Float experience was heaven and set the stage for a 90-minute massage with Linda, who is a domain expert. She might be the best I've experienced in deep tissue and she provided informative tips and suggestions about my alignment that will be beneficial for future maintenance. The spa was clean and they took extra precautions to maintain compliance during the pandemic. I would recommend this place to anyone and plan to visit next time I return to the area. read more

Desert Serenity Float and Spa - Float pod - Massage Therapy Near Me - Palm Desert, California

If this place were in Los Angeles I would be here all the time. This was an incredible experience that I cannot wait to repeat. I had floated once before years ago and it took me a while to get comfortable. I don't know that I ever fully relaxed. I had a small cut on my hand that was super distracting from the harsh sting of the salt water. Obviously you don't want to shave anything the day you come. It seems they have thought of everything here. Vaseline to help protect cuts you may have on your body, floating headrest and ear plugs. Each room is private with a shower, towels, body wash and shampoo. Let me say I don't like enclosed spaces and I don't like sensory deprivation, but I wanted to give this another shot. I'm so happy I did. It may take you a few minutes to get out of your head and settle into it, but once you do it's out of this world. I felt like I was actually drifting out of my body. Evidently this is not uncommon. Just when I thought it couldn't get any better, after an hour of floating, I had a 90 minute massage with Steve, which turned out to be the best massage of my life. I never go for deep tissue when I'm on vacation. I don't want to cry or be in pain, but I let him do it. His techniques are so subtle that I just let him do his thing. He was amazing in the way he teaches. He shared with me why I was having issues in certain areas, what I needed to focus on and explained things in detail. I usually don't like to talk, but this was an education about my own body and one I really needed. I would encourage anyone to be vocal about your issues and have him help you fix them. I had several aha! moments with Steve. My husband was also very happy with the session. He told me his therapist was excellent and shared that you need to have 10 years experience before you can work here. I cannot wait to come back here! Do yourself a favor and come here and take care of body, mind and soul. The staff are really great and genuinely care about providing an outstanding experience. read more

My boyfriend and I went for our first (and certainly not last) time in June. We had a couples float scheduled before a couples massage and I 100% recommend that you do them in that order. Overall we had a LOVELY experience and can only hope we find someplace similar near us before our next trip out to Palm Springs! Onto the nitty gritty: The float, while intimidating at first, was basically a chill nap for us both. From my understanding, it's supposed to be a very zen and meditative experience, but I was happily floating in a half-nap. We talked to the receptionist about it before the massage and he agreed it can take a couple sessions to achieve that zen feel. Normally that would come off as a ploy to get me to come multiple times and spend more money but with this place, it felt very earnest and genuine. I would gladly come to this exact location often if it weren't hours away. For those curious or concerned about what the float entails, you're basically in a dark room floating in salt water for a 60 or 90 minute session. I think there are individual pods so I can't speak to those, but the couples room didn't feel claustrophobic at all. We were worried we might feel confined, especially considering you're doing it in the dark, but it was very relaxing. There's also a button you can press if you do need a little light. Just be careful in case you have any cuts- it'll sting in the salt water! The receptionist helping us (I wish I had his name, he was so friendly and helpful) gave us some Aquaphor to cover cuts up before going in. We went with a 90 minute session because I figured why not? It didn't feel long at all. If anything, I probably could've gone even longer because I started to actually fall asleep once our session was over! The massages were amazing. The room had the perfect atmosphere: chill, serene music, fans on to keep us cool, and very minimal lighting so I could see our masseuses but overall still dark. My boyfriend has chronic back pain and we mentioned this beforehand. He's had issues with masseuses before it's always a gamble for him, especially at a new place. The woman he was paired with at Desert Serenity, however, was exceptional! Just the right amount of pressure in the right spots. The man I was paired with was also great! They both quietly would check in and see how we were doing with the pressure but we never had any problems. I'm pretty sure I fell asleep and snored out loud at one point before I caught myself. The couples massage was definitely the highlight of our trip here. Overall, super happy with our time at Desert Serenity Float and Spa. We definitely splurged, but it was well worth it. You get what you pay for. I wish we could go again but we'll just have to wait til our next anniversary! read more

My husband and I along with another couple came in for a couple's float and two individual floats. Easy to place reservations via phone. Greeted by friendly staff, and she showed us the ropes as this was our first float. Clean facility and comfortable setting. This is totally my opinion, but most likely will let this be my only experience at any float therapy. I did not care for the humidity within the egg/capsule you're floating in and floated with the latch door fully opened for the duration of my float. The private room was still dark with a small battery operated candle. Watch out not to get the salt water splashed onto your face as it will burn. Spray water bottle just an arm's reach. Now go and enjoy some relaxation. read more

Desert Serenity Float and Spa - Parking was super convenient & easy! - Massage Therapy Near Me - Palm Desert, California

If you have never had a "float" before, you might be a little intimidated, but I'm here to say, don't be and try it out. Imagine you are floating in space, or weightless like in scuba diving, and there's a peace and quiet (once you calm your mind). The temperature is perfect, let your body relax, you just float, the water holds you up. Do some breathing exercises to relax. Use the time to feel all the curious sensations your body makes. Watch how delightfully your mind likes to flit from thing to thing. Or delve deep into the connected emptiness/shunyata and realize how you are just a nub of the ultimate. Or maybe you just want to chill out and get away from reality for an hour. Whether you go deep or float on the surface, you'll leave feeling relaxed and rejuvenated, and maybe a little more creative. I personally like to pair it with a massage. Spend an hour out of my body and then an hour getting back into my body. No drugs needed for this sublime experience. Won't you try it? (PS. This is the only non-grocery store/home depot place I have gone during covid - the place is spotless, they really stagger the appointments and I only ever see/interact with 2 people. It's the safe kind of luxury we all need right now.) (PPS. If this is your first float, Zach at the front desk will explain everything. I was personally worried I might lose track of time or fall asleep, but that never happened (they remind you with music), and everyone is really calm and patient to make sure your first float is flawless.) read more

What an amazing experience! Martha is literally the best. She listened to my areas of concern and was able to focus her efforts on the areas where I hold a lot of tightness and stress. My friends and I were blessed to visit Desert Serenity Float and Spa while in California on a business trip. So glad we took this time for ourselves. The staff were wonderful. From the time I walked in and was greeted by Zack (or is it Zach? :)) my time at Desert Serenity Float & Spa was wonderful! This was the first time I did a float, and I loved it--although it did take me a few minutes to get adusted and relax--I was initially tense and my neck started to hurt. After the float, I had a massage with Angela--it was one of the best I've ever had. The spa is reasonably priced and the service excellent. I'll definitely make another appointment at Desert Serenity the next time I'm in town. read more

Desert Serenity Float and Spa - Massage Therapy Near Me - Palm Desert, California

First of all, I would like to say that my family and I have been coming to the Desert for over 30 years. We own multiple properties in Palm Desert, Palm Springs, Cathedral City and Indio and have always been treated with the upmost respect and have never had any issues. With that being said, today my wife tried to call and reschedule an appointment we had booked yesterday due to an illness. When she explained our circumstance, the business owner Diana very rudely told my wife that she would be charging our credit card anyway. She did not offer to reschedule, she didnt even ask if we were ok. She was only concerned about securing money for services she did not intend to provide. When I called back, I immediately asked for an apology for my wife. I didn't ask for a massage, I didn't even ask for money back, I specifically asked for an apology for the way my wife was treated on the phone. The business owner Diana replied by insulting me directly by questioning my financial situation, my integrity and my character. She also made an age comment saying "what are you 80?" Because the massage was supposed to be for my birthday. I'm no where near 80 but my mom and aunts are. I would hate for someone of that age to have to experience age discrimination from a "healing" service such as this. After hanging on me. I called back and Diana said she was recording my phone call. I told her that it was illegal to do so and she does not have consent to do so. Regardless, I again told her what I wanted, an apology. She went on to say that she Owned a 6 million dollar business and that I, a respected community activist, church member, and doctoral graduate student should and I quote "leave the Desert". It is clear that Desert Spa is in desperate need of $200 despite being an alleged $6 million dollar business so they can keep the money they received for services they did not provide. However, if this is truly what it means to be a part of this beautiful Desert community then I will in fact leave and never come back. Because this ain't the desert I know and love. *note the owner has posted several updated replies to my original review. They continue to lie and most importantly, still haven't apologized. I will not be responding to them because I know what the truth is and every nasty updated response from them Is an example of what type of business this is. God bless. *note the owner has again posted another updated response feigning concern. It was not the staff that called us names and harassed us via text and yelp review updates for the past 3 weeks, it was the OWNERS. No, I will not ever be dealing with you again and I have still yet to receive the apology I asked for. read more

Great place! Friendly staff, relaxing environment and wonderful massage. I highly recommend Desert Serenity Float & Spa.

What an incredible place! Today I had my first ever appointment at Desert Serenity - including my first ever float experience. And, it was awesome! From the moment I walked in, the experience was top notch. Clean and well appointed facilities, very clear explanations of what to expect from my one hour Float, then one of the best deep tissue massages I've had in years from Paul. The float was so peaceful and calming, I even fell asleep. Overall the prices are also very reasonable! And to top it all off, at the end of the massage I got some champagne since it was my birthday! Check this place out - I for one can't wait to go back! read more

My wife surprised me with a couple's float and Swedish massage. Admittedly I was a little nervous about being in a pod. Turns out the couple's tub is large, and in fact, not a pod. For my first float, I'm glad it wasn't a pod! Anyhow, we were brought to the float room, and everything explained to us very clearly...they definitely pay attention to all the details. The float experience was fantastic, and I'll be doing it again for sure. It took me a little bit to find my comfort zone, and once I did, I fell asleep. In fact, my wife fell asleep too, and woke me with her snoring! After we showered off and put on our robes, we had a lovely couple's massage. We left there incredibly relaxed. I highly recommend!! read more

I took my twins here for their birthday. This place was amazing! All the ladies I came in contact with were so friendly and sweet! There had been an issue with getting two estheticians, but they made it up by offering a float session for one of my daughters. My daughter loved the float experience and definitely would go again. She said it was relaxing and hard to explain. They have a notebook full of people's experiences written down in the relaxation room. It's a must read. Both daughters had facials and they absolutely loved them. They both said they felt so relaxed and fell asleep. The three of us all had massages. They were great at helping us release our muscle aches and knots! All three of us would go back here! We really enjoyed ourselves and walked away feeling so relaxed! I want to go back and try the float! They have one for couples too! Maybe I can get hubby to come with me next time! read more

My sister and I decided to book appointments prior to our visit to Palm Desert to experience a float for the first time. We also took advantage of the special and booked massages for after our float. However, there was a mix up in the booking and only one massage therapist was available. Angelica stepped up, offering to stay to provide a facial service if I was interested. I agreed. The staff was very apologetic about the mixup, but I appreciated DO much being offered another option while my sister had her massage. The experience was rewarding all the way around. If I am back this way, I will definitely book another appointment. Thank you to the staff and especially Angelica for being so awesome! read more

OMG! This was our first time here and it was amazing! First, I was able to get my questions answered before we even drove to Palm Desert! At home, we were looking for things to do in the Coachella Valley on-line and found this place. We were curious about the whole process and they were friendly enough to accommodate us! Second, we got an informal tour of where the bathroom is, where to shower, change and even saw the pod and float cabin. Third, Mike was friendly and helpful in introducing us to some of the CBD products. Will definitely be coming back, results for my lower back and shoulder pain is pending... My boyfriend had a different experience than me; it took him awhile to relax and get used to the sensory deprivation experience. He tried the float pool noodles provided to ease his stiff neck during the float but it didn't help. He finally did relax and afterwards felt energized! I had an amazing experience; there was a point where I couldn't tell if my eyes were open or closed because it was so dark. I was comfortable with the water temp and quiet -ness. I felt like I was being cradled and being lifted up and forward a little bit! Then I started seeing a purple swirling nebula (like the ones in space)! It was weird. After awhile, I had to stretch my neck and bend my knees. I was getting stiff and next time will try the noodles they have provided. When the music started up again I thought I could just reach over and turn the light on. But I had to sit up and feel around for the buttton; I was smiling and thought to myself, I must've drifted at an angle or something! I felt so turned around! I was refreshed and felt like I just had a massage! I showered before and after and that only added to the energy I felt after the float. It's a great, relaxing place with a nice post float room. We even bought some CBD products to try to help some of our aches and pains. Highly recommend this place! read more
