Cute little spa in Palm Desert. Nice spa menu choices. A little pricey, But they are on El Paseo. I had a Shiyadara treatment and a therapeutic massage. The massage was nice. Not the best I've ever had but nice. The Shiyadara was not traditional Ayurvedic as I expected. Traditional uses pure sesame oil for the treatment. Bliss did not use sesame oil. I think it might have been almond oil. The Shiyadara treatment I had in March at a different place in Julian was much better and more authentic. Bliss is a nice place but I would likely try another as unless I'm super impressed with a day spa, I usually don't go back. read more

Such a divine facial experience at the hands of Lorena. I opted for the 90 minute Longevity facial as my aging face can use all the love it can get. Lorena definitely is a master of her craft. She gently answered my questions and explained what was happening in the fascia and musculature of the face. I left feeling like my face looked 5-10 years younger. She is very kind and she is very serious on working your aura and chakras and to heal you. She has positive energy and positive vibes. Wow! I felt so rejuvenated after my session. I can't say enough good things about Bliss. I booked while I was staying at a resort who had a Spa - but Bliss was more my style. And they offer a Reiki massage option, which I was immediately drawn to and booked. First off, Nicole, the massage/Reiki therapist, was amazing. I would book her again in a heartbeat. Second, the space was *beautiful* inside - very inviting and calming. It obviously was designed with loving care. And finally, the icing on the cake was their kindness and flexibility - not only had I booked the wrong weekend while my partner had booked the correct one, I accidentally left my earrings behind. So William, the owner, was gracious enough to switch me to the correct weekend and forego my partner's appointment since there wasn't availability for both of us, but they were also kind enough to find and mail my earrings to me. I can't say enough about my experience at the Bliss Chakra Spa. I have been here each year when I visit Palm Desert. I was a little late getting to my appointment due to construction, so I was stressed and rushed. I always get the package massage and facial. Nicole was there waiting for me. Greeted me and was very kind and understanding about being late. It didn't take long for her to work her magic and begin getting rid of all the stress. Nicoles room is very pleasant and relaxing. Nicole is very knowledgeable and has such good energy that her massage is one of the best I have ever had. It's always sad how quickly that hour goes. The upside to the massage ending was that I got a facial afterwards with Reyna. She is wonderful. Her room is calming and relaxing. Both amazing especially Missy was very attentive and asked how the pressure was and was not invasive if I wanted it to be in a Zen quiet space. I was so disappointed with my experience at Bliss Chakra Spa! First of all, the confirming email I received from them said to arrive 20 minutes prior to appointment. I arrived 20 minutes prior in 109 degrees and waited out front because the front door was locked. And I waited until one minute before my appointment. The masseuse finally arrived, but she did not have a key to the spa. Once another person arrived who had a key, I received a very, very mediocre massage and a very rushed facial. The whole ambiance was disjointed and anything but relaxing. I had high hopes for this place, but, honestly, they need to get their shit together. read more
