Initially I wasn't going to leave a review because they ended up refunding me my money and were very nice, but I am just very upset and feel that others should be aware. Now I have to spend so much money fixing my hair for something that wouldn't have cost as much. It's been about 2 months now and I've done my hair 2 more times yet the color still is not right. I went on Feb 10th. I went in asked to dye my hair blonde. I'm getting married in October and my hair had different colors in it (brown, red, and blonde) so I knew it would've been a process. I went in on Jan 30th for a consultation. They did some test strips on my hair and my hair did dye blonde how I wanted it. I was excited, the girl doing my hair was excited and I booked a date. She didn't do the red part because she said she knew it would come out when she bleached it. She told me it would be over $400. Fine it's a nice place in Upland and they have good reviews so it'll probably be worth it. Well, she ruined my hair. She added brown dye to my hair that still after 2 sessions is hard to remove. My hair looks better now thanks to a different salon, but you can see where it's darker brown blonde and blonde. I added my inspo pic from Pinterest and the hair she left me with. I asked for solid blonde and my roots only showing brown (shadow root) and she said she understood but gave me very thin highlights and left my hair with 2 lines dividing the brown she dyed, the middle that is a lighter brown, and the bottom that was a brassy blonde. I also had brown spots in the brassy brown parts of my hair. I understand my hair was different colors but she had informed me that it would take 1 session and then a touch up session closer to October. I believe she was new and did not inform me. I originally wanted to book with Christina (the owner) as a colleague that went to school with her recommended her, but Christina recommended me to Baylie stating she wasn't taking new clients. I give 3 stars instead of 1 because all the other clients walking out had beautiful hair. Also, Christina and Baylie were both very very nice. But unfortunately their niceness will not help pay for my hair to be fixed. They should not be recommending clients to new workers and if a worker cannot do a hair style they should speak up rather than having the client pay way more money to fix their mistake. It's not about testing on people's hair when working in a salon. Anyway sorry for the long review read more

I also paid $45 for toner which was left on my hair for maybe 10 seconds at most. The highlights are not blended and different shades of brown and blonde sadly. If I wanted to look like I left Fantastic Sam's I would have gotten into my Delorean and traveled back in time for the $10 cut I felt I got from her. Needless to say I did not return. Esmeralda has been doing my hair for 25 years. I came to her asking for a "blonde blond ombré ". Well 7 hours later and $260 I got brown. She and another stylist were talking over me at the tub and saying ,"oh well it's not summer yet" She said the brown tone should rinse out and it will lighten. After three washes I sent her a text asking how could I get the toner out. I said this isn't blonde. She said when are you available next. I said Saturday. She gave me a Saturday two weeks ahead. She was 15 minutes late to our appointment and said she got a speeding ticket. 4hours later I was all blonde no ombre and she said that will be $135 more. So 11hours and $395 to get a beautiful blonde hair color and still not ombre. I can't believe that she charged me twice. Buyer beware! Discuss the price for the outcome you expect. read more

If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would! Enjoyed my experience here from start to finish. I'd never felt brave enough to go get my hair professionally done because it's usually expensive and I was always worried I wouldn't be happy, I'm picky with me hair! I met Christina and instantly felt comfortable and like she knew what she was doing, so when I finally decided to go professional, I couldn't think of anyone else to call! As soon as I got there Christina greeted me and within 5 minutes, I was in her chair! We had great conversation while she worked on my baylage, gave such a caring touch when cutting, AMAZING massage when my hair was rinsed, and such positive affirmations while I was in her chair. I have had therapeutic and Chinese cupping technique massages along with a few other tools. Anyhow, Liz is an excellent therapist. If you have chronic pain she works to make you better.
