My extremely meticulous friend (who shall remain nameless for this review) has these awesome lashes, but not the set that RuPaul wears with the equivalent of 4 strips on each eye. The kind where she caught me staring & I finally just asked "are those your lashes because every strand really looks like it's coming out of your eye lid?" It took a minute to get her to come up off her jewel, aka Melissa the Lash Queen. I'm not a sensitive person, but I was slightly hesitant because I didn't want to become a horror story of some vain chick whose eye was glued shut or has pink eye for half the year. I can't lie, it is weird. On your back, eyes shut for what might seem like an entire moon cycle to an over-caffeinated multi-tasker, but Melissa makes for awesome conversation about all parts of life and ends only after she's triple checked that you can open your eyes (after all vision is kind of important). With about 20 years experience, this petite unicorn moves so quickly I doubted if I was going to re-emerge as a Kardashian once the sordid tape was removed and my lashes were de-virginized. Turns out, the result was not a Dash-ing contrast (because I have an awesome tan), but more reminiscent of a Shameless Vee coyly telling Kev "I woke up like this." I don't know how many actual lashes she puts on, but Melissa moves back and forth between the left & right eyes to master a naturally full look that is always magically even. A year later and we're officially going lash-steady. I tried one another lady (completely different city) and it didn't work out. Not the kind at the nail shop (beware!), it was one of those "addiction" type salons that claims 20 years experience...but then you find out it's between all the people there why all your clusters fell out on day 4 smh. I can't forget price. Actually I have. I don't remember exactly how much a full set costs because she only made me pay for the full set the first time I went. The longest I've gone without a fill was about 5 weeks & she still only charged me for a fill! Full set or fill, it's modestly priced. She's really just a legit lash-pert doing her job right. I decided to try Crystal Beck to put in my various extensions 2 xs a week as my long time stylist moved to Texas. From the extremely friendly yet professional receptionist who greeted me ask if I wanted some ice water) which came in a glass , I was pleasantly surprised to how very clean this salon is , customer service was outstanding. Now down to my newest and I hope permanent stylist Crystal Beck , I've had substantial hair loss as a side effect to a surgery so it takes a very gifted stylist to put my clip on extensions and get them in tight so they won't pull out due to my thinning hair.i must say Crystal did a fantastic job with my hair and extensions and she is definitely my new go to stylist, check her out on instagram under Crystal Beck Styles she is amazing with color etc! I've been looking for a facialist like Melissa for a very long time. I used to have the best skin in the world. Then, I went through a series of awful facialists who overcharged only to damage my skin. At best, my skin looked dull after the facials. Then I came across Salon 6sixtyfive. After a couple of sessions with Melissa, my skin has become supple again. The damages left on my face by previous facialists are starting to fade since I started coming to Salon 6sixtyfive. Melissa is very professional and doesn't try to foist unnecessary treatments on you just to eek more money out of you. She customizes each facial to what your skin actually needs. She's gentle, sanitary, and thorough. And she's very reasonably priced. I highly recommend her. read more

It's like having permanent snapchat filter with these lashes! -My reaction to looking in a mirror and/or front facing camera This was my first experience getting lash extensions put in and Melissa was patient in showing me different options in length/ fullness/ curl dimensions, genuine in her recommendations, gentle throughout the process, and explained what to expect in caring for them. The 2 hours quickly passed with good conversation, she's hilarious with awesome stories of her kiddos. I waited a few days before writing a review to see how they did with sweaty workouts, shower, sleep... and I'm both impressed at how *not-fake* they look and pleased with the quality. read more

I would highly recommend this salon for all your hair care needs ,skin care along with pedicures to. The staff is amazing and they always make you feel welcome. I just had my lashes done by Melissa at this salon. Because I have never had this done and was a little apprehensive about it, I had done a lot of research on different places, but Melissa was recommended to my by a trusted friend. She said that Melissa does a great job and has been doing this more than 10 years. That kind of trusted experience sounded good, so I went to her. I am SO HAPPY that I did!! Melissa was on time and didn't make me wait (that is something that is very important to me). She sat with me and discussed what look I was going for. She was knowledgable, reassuring and friendly during our discussion. I was very comfortable during the procedure and I didn't feel a thing.
