I see Trianna at Salon Luxe, and let me tell you this girl is nothing short of amazing! I came in with extremely damaged hair thanks to a stylist that thought he could balayage my hair using products that ended up drying my hair beyond repair. I went to Trianna in hopes of fixing my hair, or just making it look better. She suggested cutting it short because that was the only way to get rid of the damage. I was scared but she told me to trust her. I was so happy I did! She corrected the color and gave me a very cute haircut. She even gave me tips on keeping my hair in tip top shape between appointments. My hair hasn't looked this good in years. Love this salon! After reading reviews on yelp I decided that this place was worth trying out for myself and my 9 month old (his 4th haircut at a salon)! I called to make my appointment and the gal that answered the phone was great. Before just putting me with someone, she asked me about my hair and my cut and preferences - I believe she took this into account before just putting me with a stylist. Upon arrival, the salon, although it is tucked away in an older shopping center off of Foothill, was very inviting and modernly simplistic with a great energy! lAnny was my stylist and was fabulous! She did a great long layer cut on me, she was thorough and took her time with me to do it right. Anny was patient with my son and gave him a handsome style. The staff was awesome, as I was holding my son and he began getting fussy, another one of the stylists (male) came over with his smart phone and played animal sounds for the baby to keep him still and entertained until Anny was done. I moved here from Northern California and have struggled to find someone who could come close to meeting the match for my much beloved hair stylist of 25 years. I went to a couple of places, but while they were ok, I wasn't overly thrilled. On the recommendation of a neighbor, I called Salon Luxe. I schedule an appointment with Melissa and hoped for the best. She is wonderful! She styled my hair exactly as I requested--it was a mess after over 2 years of covid growth. After 3 visits, she's become my go to and now is also my daughters' stylist. She's sensitive to my health needs and is so professional. If I could give her 10 stars I would. They have a very comfortable seating area while you wait for your stylist to call you back and the receptionist also offered me a complimentary water. It was quite busy when I was there, but the staff was very friendly and offered me a drink. I was very nervous with how my hair was going to turn out, but Renee knew what she was doing and helped me achieve the layered look that I wanted. Felt like I had to leave another review for Kate, who has worked magic on my hair countless times now. Before coming to Salon Luxe, I never really found a hairstylist who truly listened to or understood what I wanted. Kate really shows that she cares about what YOU want, and will patiently talk through the process with you, from maintenance to whether the style suits your hair type or not. You can tell she just wants the best for you, and will throw in her professional opinion when needed to make sure you're totally satisfied. I came in today wanting a super blunt cut, but she suggested that because my hair is thick, we point cut a small section to take out some of the weight. I always trust her suggestions, and now I'm absolutely loving my new hair! Kate is also just a wonderful and funny person in general, and time always flies by when I'm sitting in her chair. I've been to her for wash and styles, haircuts at various lengths, tape extensions, and have never been disappointed by her service. She will definitely be my go-to as long as I'm still in this area! As for the salon overall, Natalie the receptionist is always very friendly and you can tell all the staff really enjoy working together. My experience at Luxe with Mishel was so unbelievably pleasant...literally an enjoyable way to spend my Saturday afternoon. Mishel was wonderful from the beginning. I hadn't any idea what I wanted with my hair except for a jumble of Pinterest photos, which we carefully crafted into a look was low maintenance and protected my hair, which was important. Mishel was super professional, patient and explanatory, but was also fun to chat with about bikes, vacations, etc. The 2.5 hours I was there flew by! I absolutely love how my hair turned out in one sitting. It's natural yet fun and I can switch it up. It will be months before I need a touch up, but I'll definitely return to Mishel. You instantly feel welcomed. You get pampered with your choice of beer, wine, coffee, water and even pastries. If that isn't enough their shampoo chairs recline and have massagers! If you've ever had your hair washed you know the chairs usually suck, this is not the case here! Aside from the salon, I have to give a shout out to Lindsay. I have been trying to get this specific hair color for over five years and was the first to nail it!! Anytime shes used color on me, its as if she reads my mind and gives me exactly what I want. Anny was really terriffic. The color is one of the best that I have ever had. She was a patient listener and also took her time to get it all right. I fell upon Salon Luxe through yelp, it was time for my regular every other year hair cut. Yes, I only cut my hair every 2 years. Reason, i don't get split ends, and I donate it to Locks of Love or Pantene Pro-V so they can use it to make wigs for cancer patients. Plus, you usually get a free haircut for donating. So I looked up all the salons in Claremont and called each one to see where I could get a haircut. Salon Luxe put my name on a post-it and said someone would call me back within a day, and someone did, Rene! She will shampoo (with a to die for massage), cut, style, and blow-dry your hair free of charge if you donate, and if you don't it's $50, but so worth it! Salon Luxe is a very aesthetically pleasing place with complimentary beer, soda, and snacks for salon clients. And it seemed like a family while i was there, with joking and even a birthday cake. Even if I do not have enough hair to donate next time, I will return! read more

They have a large selection of complimentary drinks if that is something you look for (wine, beer, various coffees, etc). The shampoo chairs are automatic massage chairs. Haircuts for women start at $50. long hair is extra (we were charged $55 each but each stylist sets their own price), a bit pricey for me but they do a good job and that can be hard to find. I will likely return but I would be more likely to do so with a discount if it were offered. The long review: So I'm a last minute kind of girl and I don't get my hair cut / done often but I decided Saturday late morning to see if I could get an appointment at a salon (for TWO no less) for the same day. I wanted to treat my daughter to a new do as well so I set off on the impossible task of finding two last minute haircut appointments at a highly rated and inexpensive salon that wasn't too far away. I guess I expect a lot and I expect yelp to help me! Well, I didn't find inexpensive (though I suppose that's relative) but I found highly rated and two available appointment slots so I took a leap of faith and booked them. Natalie was the sweet girl who took my call and checked on everything for me. She got us all set for 2:00 that afternoon and was great about fielding my questions (I like to make sure about cost and what's included especially since all salons are different) Haircuts here start at $50, my daughter and I both have long hair and were charged $55 each. I'm glad I asked beforehand so I was prepared and didn't look shocked (thanks again to Natalie). Sorry but I do not generally spend that much money on a haircut especially on a regular basis. I'm the one looking for a Groupon, Amazon local, Livingsocial or even a yelp deal but alas, I was not able to find any for Friday or Saturday. I was disappointed that we weren't offered a discount for our next visit but not every place does that.
