Marjorie the hair whisperer!!!!! Recently, my daughter thought Marjorie's business was closed because the landline was no longer working and the number she had was disconnected. My daughter asked me to drive by studio M to see if it still exists (IT DOES) but we were both busy and so she thought she would find a different place with a different lady who had really good reviews. Don't always listen to good reviews. I am realizing they can often be the opposite. My daughter got her hair cut on 7/9/24 in the evening from this place I will not mention here, came home and I could not hide my shock at the worst haircut she has gotten to date! The only person I know who could fix A botched job like that is Marjorie!!! While my daughter thrashed around crying I went to work trying to get a hold of Marjorie, went so far as to text the number I had for her late at night. Came here like a month ago for a hair change. Angie dyed my hair.. and I LOVED IT! My hair didn't only look good, but it felt so healthy after the hair dye. My natural hair is dark dark brown, I had my hair dyed (balayage blonde) before going to Angie. I asked for red/brown hair color with some highlights. She also gave me a treatment for my hair which left it feeling sooooo great! Like literally my hair never felt so healthy! The hair treatment lasted about to two -three weeks but it's been a more than a month and the color is still great and my hair doesn't feel rough or damaged. This review is specifically for Varnish Me Chic. Megan needs to come down a couple notches on her high horse. I understand every tech should have rules and set boundaries, when your client busses their ass to respect them and communicate to you, you should do the same. Her work is good, but let's face it gel x isn't a complicated system and gel polish doesn't take much skill. She does not have many polish choices, relies on only foil for design and does no stone work. I forgot to get cash (she's cash only), I gave her a heads up that I would be five minutes late. She texted back I have until 9:10 am. I walked in about 9:08am. I was already anxious about making it in on time, and as soon as she walks in she goes " woo thought I was going to have to cancel you" so when i responded with "I understand you have rules but customers deserve understanding too." She then proceeded to say she is feeling bad vibes and we could reschedule and refused to work on me. I've dealt with plenty of private nail techs and never in my life have I ever been made to feel so small and invaluable. If you're okay with this type of service and nothing too fancy, then by all means give her a try. I emailed Apres so they understand the type of technician they have representing their product. Oh and guess who blocked me on IG before I even got out the door? Disappointed, but also, as a client, really hurt. read more

I made an appointment to have my tape hair extensions removed and reapplied higher. Price $250!! At latitude 33 in Anaheim Hills same process $120 (they charge $7.50 per hair extensions). I have a total of 15. At "Hair" in Corona, dos Lagos, same thing. Removal $40 and reapplication $85. There is NO REASON to pay double the price for the same process. read more

Not impressed, not by a long shot. I had the groupon for a mani-pedi. She left remnants of my old light blue polish on my fingers, not cool. I told her right away that my cuticles get cut very easily, literally a second after those words left my mouth she cut my pinky. BADLY. Then she did the thing that only an unprofessional aesthetician would do, laugh and say I must be delicate. Yes, you're right, my flesh is sensitive to sharp metal objects. I didn't let her do my cuticles on the rest of my fingers or toes. Sucks bc they were ragged n needed to be trimmed. I had to ask her to buff my nails bc she wasn't gonna do it even tho it's obvious my nails have ridges, and to put on a base coat for both the mani and pedi, and to give me toe separators! She didnt wait for the polish to dry even a little bit before applying the 2nd coat, so now my nails have those lovely artistic air bubbles. Wth kinda half ass nail service is this??? I was really mad and my pinky bled and still hurts like hell. There must be a reason that there was only one other person besides me in the salon. After vowing to keep my hair dye-free, I felt the itch again.. A friend of mine recommended this salon, so I thought I'd give it a try. The salon is so cute and had a really warm and welcoming vibe. They were extra nice about staying a little bit late for me, as well, because I can only come after work hours. So, I had my hair dyed dark brown. Instead of using harsh hair frying chemicals, Yvette used a gloss to give my hair the color I desired. The color came out so well! I have hints of red in my black hair, so my brown came out to be a slight auburn-brown. After drying and styling my hair.. My hair was straight and not frizzy.. and Yvette didn't even use a straightener! Hair was so silky and smooth like melty butter! Yvette completely revived my zombie hair! It was literally a hair makeover. Be sure to ask for Yvette. So nice, cute, a joy to chat with and specializes in color correction and Brazilian blowouts. Exactly what I needed. read more

Its awesome having a stylist who knows EXACTLY how you want your hair and makes it a reality! I got my hair done by Virginia at Studio M and couldn't be more impressed! She is amazingly sweet, and made me feel welcome. I vaguely described what I wanted my hair to look like, the color, cut and style, and she did even better than I imagined! I now get my hair styled by her weekly! I also get my eyebrows done by Savannah every 2 weeks. Shes so nice! She is a true professional and is VERY talented! My brows have never looked better! Did you know that that Studio M offers massages? I didn't BUT so happy that I found this place!! Carol is the massage therapist in this salon, located in the back of the building. Her room is beautiful. So relaxing and inviting. I didn't want to leave! Lol She is just absolutely WONDERFUL!! She really focuses on your needs and wants! She put me right to sleep! The first time visiting Jennifer at studio M was about two months ago for a facial and massage combo. Massage was with another woman, who did a fantastic job. Sadly, I have forgotten her name. :( I suck. Jennifer's facials are so relaxing. Since my job demands so much of me I get tired and stressed and it's obvious when you see me. Do yourself a favor do not go to this salon!!! I spent $99 for micro beads extension for them to fall out within 2 days... I received a survey through txt message asking how they did. After I txt my feed back I received a txt from Marjorie the owner and she was kind and apologized for the shitty service and if I needed anything to reach out to her. Well....I went back to the salon she fixed my extension for them to fall off again within an hour. They don't know what the hell their doing .. not only was I on that chair for 4 hours , half the time the stylist were chit chatting leaving the clients alone for 20 mins while laughing in the back. Also the whole damn salon was trying to convince me that tape extensions are better. Ummm no their not they rip your hair out and the healthier alternative is micro beads! I've done my research. They were just trying to convince me to get the tape ones cuz their too lazy to do micro beads. Do not go to this salon please!! Save your money!!! She was nice and did a good job but was VERY unprofessional when it came to making appointments with her, once she gets your money. Had me waiting 15 minutes until one of the stylists kept calling her and she finally lets me know she was having car problems. Then she never contacted me back to reschedule as promised.
