We order Screaming Eagle and the large is as much as a Starbucks. The server taking our order was very nice and since it was our first time their she helped us with our selection. The young man giving us our coffee seemed aggravated and not happy to be serving us this morning. But the coffee is definitely good. If it's all about attitude when you get served Starbucks would be your alternative. read more

The owner of the business came storming in out of nowhere and started screaming at the ladies who worked there. He was yelling at them for not wearing enough makeup and told them that they were "ugly." He then proceeded to tell them he would fire them if they came in looking like that again. Who does this guy think he is? You can't treat your employees that way. It's discrimination against women. The guys weren't wearing makeup. They didn't get yelled at. This was all before my coffee was even ready. Then one of the guys that worked there served me my coffee. There was a fingernail in it. I asked one of the ladies who had tears in her eyes for the name of the guy who served me my coffee. I was then informed that he was, in fact, the owner's son. I was told it would be best not to complain because nothing would be done about it because he's the owner's son. Apparently, this wasn't the first time something like that has happened. read more

Not impressed with this place at all. When my friends and I ordered it took 20 mins for our drinks to come out and they forgot to give us our muffins too. They weren't really apologetic and they were on their phone a lot, so it was hard for us to get their attention when they forgot our food. Employees are great but owners are terrible! They treat their employees terribly. I find it insane when I spotted a employee holding up a 20$ to the camera and then putting it away. How sad! I needed a coffee at 4AM great DE is open. I pull up and I am instantly greeted. Nice start. I asked for an iced coconut mocha whole milk. I was charged $6.25 +($1.00 grat) pricey but I'm on my way to work, it is a need not a want. It took the barista 10 minutes to make my drink. My shots were pulled first and sat on the counter for at least 3 minutes, while the cup was built with syrups, essentially my shots were expired. Okay I can still hang. I get my drink say goodbye and thanks, pull away get a mile down the road only to find that my milk was curdled. Deal breaker! Now, I know I am dead meat. I had a hard day on my busy early work day. I always order the same drink, but it is never prepared the same. Giving a customer curdled milk is bad juju, $7.25 in total for an undrinkable coffee. Good baristas are worth their weight in gold, get some. read more

I love their coffee more than Dutch bros, but I have a problem with their stamp card policy. I went in with my husband and my stamp card handy. I had 9 stamps before hand, we each got a drink and were told we would get the 10th stamp and a new stamp card with just one stamp and we couldn't use the fully stamped card until the next visit. I've never had this experience any place that has stamp cards, and if Dutch Bros was closer I wouldn't return to Desert Eagle. read more

We stopped in for a cold drink and we're greeted by a friendly fellow. The young man was very helpful and answered our questions. Additionally he conversed pleasantly with out being pushy. We had the caramel freeze and mango slushy. The drinks came out quick. We enjoyed our drinks very much and will definitely be back. read more

Really recommend this coffee place. It is locally owned and everyone is extremely nice. I got the Grand Canyon and it was good and not overly sweet. Our bartista, Allie was super friendly and got our drinks out quickly! Yes there are some similarities to Dutch Bros but the quality of the coffee is very good. Sometimes Dutch is overly sweet or tastes just like chocolate milk, I didn't think this place had that issue. Really hope they get punch cards soon or lower there prices to compete with Dutch but will definitely be returning! read more

I went to get coffee from Dunkin on 59th Ave and Thunderbird. The line sat there for 5 minutes without moving, and I suddenly wasn't so desperate for my medium caramel iced coffee. I was pissed. I had my 2 year old in the car becoming increasingly impatient. I left and went up to Desert Eagle- I see it everyday when I drop my husband off at work. Not only was the girl who took my order super adorable and nice, but I could literally die for this coffee!!!!! IT'S SO GOOD (kaluah and irish cream / "creamy Phoenix" I think). They are a little more expensive than places like Dunkin, but they are a local business, so go support them!!! Dropped by here for the first time and was pleasantly surprised! We skipped the drive-thru in favor of the walk-up window. The shaded tables are a nice touch. A barista came out to greet us and take our order. We decided on an iced Grand Canyon coffee. I honestly expected a sugar bomb with no coffee flavor. It was a perfect balance. I won't repeat what has been the general consensus of the previous reviews, but this just wasn't my best experience. I'm a coffee fanatic. That said, I'm also a coffee snob as I have tasted and enjoyed coffee blends from all over the world. For the past several months I have driven by this location nearly every day in anticipation of the Grand Opening. Much to my chagrin, I pulled in, looking for a nice aromatically brewed coffee, only to find that everything is espresso based with exotic drink names. That said, I ordered an Americano which turned out to be very good with friendly service, although it was a little tacky to be asked for a tip. The workers informed me that they will soon be brewing real coffee which I hope is the truth. Once this happens, I may upgrade my star rating, but until then, if you are going to market as a coffee company, you need to brew it. read more

I've visited this coffee shop a few times and noticed the hot size drinks are a bit of a rip off than the cold size drinks. I think one can get more from a drink when ordering an iced drink than a hot drink. I ordered a large talon-chocolate, hazelnut and vanilla coffee and a medium iced Grand Canyon coffee, the size was equally the same as a medium iced drink. It's a lot like a Dutch Brothers in that it's a drive-thru coffee place (a new trend in Arizona?) but when we went, it was full of teenagers doing a whole lot of nothing and the music was blasting. A girl, who I assume was their manager since she came up to ask us how was everything while we waited for our drinks, looked still in high school herself and seemed to be letting the workers have all their friends hang around. This was a bit intimidating for me. Nonetheless, I always will opt for a local coffee place, so I would still frequent this place if I lived in the area despite the not so great first impression. I was impressed they roast their own beans (as advertised on the menu) and they had a lot of unique drinks on the menu instead of just being a copy cat (which someone in another review said... I think they misremembered). I went for the Grand Canyon, a mocha with peanut butter and chocolate, hot. It came out fast (as should be for a drive thru place) but it didn't have any distinct peanut butter or caramel flavours, just a sweet not-quite-chocolate mocha flavour. It definitely needed a few more pumps of either flavour, or maybe made with real peanut butter and/or caramel. It would probably be better iced but I needed a hot drink so go with early December Christmas light hunting. Under that, though, the coffee itself was really good and brewed well, which is really the important bit. Overall, I would definitely give this a few more shots, testing out the different drinks. I don't live in this area anymore, though, but wish them the best of luck. As far as I know, Dutch hasn't made it that far northwest, so give them a try instead and shop local! read more

Needs work... Coffee lukewarm, they put the creamer in for me so they put so much in my coffee didn't even have that bold taste very disappointed! I thought coffee would've been cheaper for a small coffee $2.50 which included tax that seems high for a regular small coffee. So far not my favorite place to go for coffee!
