Ordered 2 drinks from here. While waiting in the drive thru I noticed the floors were really dirty inside as if they haven't been mopped in ages. The employee working wears his face mask like a chin diaper and proceeded to lean halfway in my window getting really close to me to take my order leaving coffee from the last person's drink dripping down my door panel. After asking for napkins to clean the mess he made we watched him as he didn't wash his hands at all in between people's orders even after touching all over the ipad to take our order. Well, this company needs to make up their mind on their loyalty program!!! I had a punch card that they would not honor because they "moved to an electronic form" where you now provide a phone number. Then, when I was near earning a free drink under the electric version---they did away with that system and went back to punch cards. I get it--companies have to make financial decisions like this all the time, but the only problem is-- they once again are not honoring all the points/visits I earned! I called to discuss this with their manager, Bobbi, before taking it to Yelp! but a week has passed and she still has yet to return my call. Loyalty/rewards programs carry real value these days when customers are deciding where to spend their hard earned money. A return phone call also goes a long way! 8/2/2017 Update: Just woke up to a voicemail from Bobbi left at 1:11am (WTF!) saying that she would "leave a message since I never answer" (this is the first return call I have received from Ms. Bobbi...but nice try!). She also told me to come get my "one stamp that you're basically off by." Clearly my Yelp! review warranted some action on her part, it's just too bad jumping too conclusions & being dishonest was not the action I was expecting. I don't spend my time writing reviews for 1 stamp...not to mention, when I called Bobbi (x2)--- I only left my name and number with her staff because she was unavailable. I left no indication what the issue was about as I didn't think discussing this with her staff was appropriate, or effective. So to determine my call was about loyalty punches took a little detective work (and a visit to the Yelp! site) on her part. It took a long time to get my order (almond milk chai), and when the employee brought it to me, she asked, "Is this warm enough for you?" As I was pressed for time, I said it was fine and left. This place is so poorly ran, I feel bad for the kids who work here sometime. There is zero order of operations, it's just always just pure chaos! On multiple occasions we have been handed wrong drinks or just received plan weird service. This place could be an amazing concept with the right management. Our last straw was ordering a hot decaf latte with almond milk, and an iced latte with vanilla. The kid comes out to my window and says " I cant remember which is which do you guys mind tasting them.?" So many things wrong with this, one should've been iced or hot, one should be decaf or not, and one had regular milk or almond. Which I showed to him why either way he has to have messed up the order so he should just restart. Finally we get our drinks and as I am driving away I realize he didn't even put coffee in mine. Granted their milk to espresso ration already sucks it was pure almond milk that wasn't even warm. I managed coffee shops for almost 8 years now. You guys need a serious take over. Ordered the nitro brew iced coffee. It was so terrible. Tasted like it was brewed with day old used coffee grounds. It had the appearance of iced tea rather than a thick and rich nitro brew. My wife and I have been coming here since they opened and love their coffee and staff. They have gone through several rounds of employees so sometimes you have to be a little patient during training periods, but everyone has always been super nice, especially the current staff. We've never had a bad experience and if you don't like your drink they are happy to remake it or give you something different. This morning my wife brought home a couple iced coffees that tasted off. She sent me to go return them for new ones and as always they were very nice and remade them. Walked up since it was my first time there, my friend and I wanted to be able to take our time looking at the menu. We decided to ask the baristas for some recommendations, we stood at the window for a few minutes before anyone even acknowledged we were there, mind you there was no one else in line and no one in the drive thru. I told the guy it was my first time and wanted some recommendations for teas, he said, less than enthusiastic, you can do anything, we have a ton of flavors. I just got a strawberry, passionfruit, lime tea, my usual order at Dutch. He gave my friend an actual suggestion, the pink flamingo which is what she ordered. They brought our drinks out which was nice but mine was less than subpar. I went back to the window to get something else and I was charged for it. Everywhere else I have been, no matter if it's a restaurant, coffee shop or fast food, they take what you ordered back and give you something else. I got the pink flamingo after trying my friends and liking it. After a few sips I couldn't finish it, it was way too sweet. Overall not a great experience, if you're thinking of trying it because it looks like a Dutch, I would say take the extra time and just go to Dutch, much nicer, faster and better tasting! read more

So I typically have a decent experience here, however, this morning I ordered my usual coffee, hot with almond milk because I am lactose intolerant and what I got was ice cold. So I sent it back and they remade it but what they made is definitely not what I originally ordered it ended up being a Carmel hot coffee with whole milk. I took a few drinks and realized what it was and now I am sick to my stomach, stuck in the bathroom writing a review and annoyed! I'm giving this place the two stars for the employees who have been fantastic and have made my drink to order just the way I like it. SEVERAL of them have been wonderful, and I have had nothing but a great experience ordering my drink from them. I'm giving this place a bad review because of the experience I had tonight. I won't even go into detail because it's really not necessary. All you have to do is look at how many bad reviews there are for this place. Most of which are for the same reasons. What I will say is this, never tell a customer, especially an excellent customer who comes to your establishment several times a week, to just go someplace else. This is what I was told by who I believe is the owner. This is absolutely unacceptable. If this is what you think customer is supposed to be, I strongly recommend a training course on customer service. My recommendation for anyone thinking of buying anything from Desert Eagle is, there are dozens of coffee places in the valley that clearly appreciate there customers considerably more than this place does. So please, do yourselves a favor and buy from them. One last thing to the people at Desert Eagle, if they read this, if you have to repeatedly apologize for bad service, bad attitudes and a bad product, you're doing it wrong. If you want a fun, relaxed environment to enjoy your coffee or a quick cup on your way to work, I can't recommend Desert Eagle more. Their regular menu items range from good to amazing (the Rising Phoenix is phenomenal), and the staff's willingness to customize and make suggestions means that your enjoyment is limited by your imagination. I've visited many times in the day, and regularly spend weekend nights here with my friends. The staff alternates between professional and incredibly friendly, and unless they're busy, the service is usually quick. I'd specially recommend them if you're looking to sit down to enjoy your drink. The atmosphere is fantastic, with good music, a great seating area, and an active buzz whether you're there in the middle of the day or the middle of the night. read more

If you're here because it looks like a Dutch bros with a shorter line there's a reason, it sucks. Now I will say that I am an Americano drinker and at dutch bros a large is 3.00, at desert eagle my americano, same size as db cost me 4.92... kinda insane. The line was shorter but the amount of time I spent there was near that of db. The service was slow and kinda rude. My barista asked what I wanted and I explained it was my first time and usually get an Americano. I then proceeded to ask for caramel and cinnamon in my coffee, when he stated, that's kind of defeating the purpose of the Americano... I never once asked for his opinion. I don't get the hate for this place. I've been going here a while now and they always have good coffee. I've never had a bad barista here. The prices are fine, and when you factor in the 20% yelp check-in, they have a better savings point than your punch card places some seem to adore (one free coffee for every ten comes out to a 10% discount). Another complaint point I've seen is the lines. I've never had an issue with lines or wait. In fact I just went at 1:00 AM with zero wait (off hours, yes I know, but had I gone to the closest adored 24/7 punch card place, I would have had a line and a wait. My man Jesus was engaging and talkative without being too much (side-looking at you, adored punch card place). Don't get me wrong, adored punch card place is popular for a reason, and I'm still gonna stop by when I'm near one and need coffee, but I'll still be hating the atrocious wait. Which brings me to: I see no reason for the hate people throw at Desert Eagle. Five stars for Desert Eagle. Punch card place has equivalent coffee, but gets a four overall for the worst wait anywhere. You do you, Desert Eagle. Haters gonna hate. read more

I stopped by to purchase a drink for a friend of mine. A large East Grand Canyon With soy milk substitute and whip cream. When I paid it was over eight dollars without a tip! I thought to myself wow that's pricey but my friend is paying me back so what do I care. Upon arriving to my friends I told him how much it was going to be and he was shocked at the price saying on the website it shows the drink only being 5.50. So I went back to the store and all the signage stated that the drink was 5.50. I asked the girl who served me and she told me that the soy milk was $.65 extra and the whip cream was $.25 extra. I said that still doesn't make up for the Almost 9 dollar coffee I just paid for. She stated that the drinks are actually 7 "something" (couldn't even tell me the price of the drink)And that the managers don't have the money to update the signage. When I asked for a number or business card for a manager she said there was none available. No offer for a refund or anything. No manager or supervisor on duty to speak with. Apparently this business doesn't know about the department of weights and measures. I've already filed a complaint. Be careful purchasing anything from here you're not going to pay the advertised price. And in my book that's called a scam. read more

I have passed this shop many times and decided to finally give it a try yesterday (then went back again today). Tried the iced grand canyon latte and it was amazing. My friend got the iced vanilla latte and though more simple, it was still fantastic. Today I got an iced peanut butter latte and I am in heaven!! I'm very disappointed with this coffee shop. I hadn't been there in over a year. Decided to give it a try again on Sunday. I ordered the Grande Canyon and it was really good, made the way it was suppose to be made. I decided to go back again today.. ordered the same thing and an iced white chocolate mocha. I watched her make the drinks, but was not sure if they were for me. She handed them to me and I inform her that I asked for my drink to be made with chocolate milk. She then let me know, they don't have chocolate milk. They create the chocolate milk with mocha and regular milk. Kind of funny how Sunday's drink was made with actual chocolate milk. She also advises me that the turnover rate is high and the training is not the best. I'm very disappointed once again. The drinks were a huge disappointment. The wait at Dutch Bros is worth it. I do hope one day this establishment gets it together and provides the appropriate training so the whole team is on the same page.
