The Depot Diner turned out to be a delicious spot for lunch on a recent road trip from Cincinnati to St. Louis. Conveniently located right off the exit, this diner offers all the classics and more. Service was friendly and fast. Nothing pretentious, just comfort food and authentic in all aspects. Everything you would want and expect from a roadside diner. Highly recommend. *Cash only.

Love this spot, the food is diner food done right. Burgers are perfectly cooked with fresh toppings, the tomato tasted delicious and the prices are the best deal in town. Tried the tenderloin sandwich, not the biggest in the state, but tasty. Each time traveling thru we get the cheese omlete is a bit different depending on who is cooking, no complaints, makes it interesting and extra cheesy. This should be a must stop for travelers, the locals love this gem. I love it. support local spots.

While it's nothing special food wise (from what we sampled), it is better than driving to Evansville or getting fast food and the prices are more than fair. There's a very large parking lot. It's a quaint and cozy place I wouldn't be afraid to recommend as long as you know this is just regular diner food. We went for an early dinner/late lunch about 4:00ish on a Saturday afternoon. The place was empty. We were greeted right away and the waitress got our drink order immediately. The drinks are huge and served in Bell jars - I love it. Fountain drinks were Coca Cola brands and mixed well, so I was happy. I ordered a cajun chicken sandwich with cajun fries and my friend had the tenderloin sandwich with fried mushrooms. They were both fine. The seasoning was very mild on my chicken sandwich and a tad dry but still not bad and the fries were good. I tasted my friend's mushrooms and they were fried okay, but I'm just not a fan. The waitress was new, but very sweet and accommodating. We both ordered dessert - which they were out of most everything I'm guessing from the night before. I was hoping for cherry or chocolate pie, maybe next time. My friend settled on strawberry cheesecake (the kind with the strawberry sauce swirled in the cheesecake) and I got cherry cheesecake but the fluffier kind made with whipped topping. Both were disappointing. When I had found out they were out of most desserts, I went to look in their cooler to pick out what I wanted and noticed their weren't lids on some things and lots of other stuff was stored in there too which I feel may have given the cheesecake a wonky taste. The strawberry cheesecake probably came frozen and tasted as such. I think the cherry cheesecake was made there. It just wasn't good. I make this kind of cheesecake myself and it's always delicious but their version was bland and not sweet enough. The cherries had a tough film on them from not having a lid and probably being made a day or two earlier. I won't order that again. My guess would be that everything was frozen and just cooked in the fryer, which is fine. I'm glad to have another option to eat not too far from our rural area. There were lots of other dishes to try another time and maybe that will be their shining star. Friends have said their breakfast is great. I'll go back and will maybe try their open-faced roast beef.

STOP READING AND PULL OVER NOW! Doesn't look like much from the outside it actually looked closed right at 11:00 we were the first ones there. Lunch rush came in about 10 minutes. We had bacon double cheeseburgers. They were awesome so tasty and juicy. Onion rings and tits hit and crispy. Don't be scared when you pull up its small it's a hole in the wall... actually has holes in the walls but the service was friendly the food was fresh and burgers were damn good.

My husband and I stopped in for breakfast on Sunday while we were in the area for a class reunion. It's not fancy but very clean and has really interesting decor. The food was typical for what you would expect from a diner, standard breakfast fare, hamburgers, chicken fried steak, and fried fish. My "deluxe "breakfast was less than $10. Good food for a good price. The next time we're in the neighborhood we would definitely stop back for breakfast.

This place has no sign. There are gas pumps out front but they don't work. It's called "Depot Diner" in a newspaper piece hanging on the wall from a few years back, and something else on Google. Pretty much everything I pray for when I pull off the interstate for a bite. The only thing taking off a star was the grumpy waitress. Not happy to see me. The burgers were really good and handmade and juicy, fries were perfect. Every plate that wandered past was tasty-looking, which is a really good sign. Also there were no other tourists, which seals the deal.

Menu looks simple but just wait until you see what you're served!

In this part of the world you want to eat where the locals eat. If it's where the farmers eat, then it's even better. This little place is one of those places! Simple, home cooking, friendly. We're always thrilled when we stumble across a place like this.

Located off the banks of…read morethe Wabash River and nestled into the epicenter of what is the first "Main Street" in Indiana... ... This quaint Diner offers up the general fare you would expect from a divey-diner experience, but elevated. From the exquisite breakfasts, to beef manhattan lunches. You may also, want to choose from a wide array of delectable homemade pies, ahhh... The owners and staff are beautiful people that pour their souls into the food, and are there daily. Get there at a decent time during their posted hours though... If not, you'll miss out on the food you want, because everything is made to order, and so fresh, they don't waste any "thyme" with leftovers. A small secret... if you have a sweet tooth... The main reason I want to review this place is because it was SO cheap. I mean, you could eat here three times a week for the price of going to any other restaurant once per week. Most of the breakfast dishes were like...$5 or under. Serious deals for this kind of food, not something you see these days. I appreciated this diner for being one of few restaurants that just serves bare bones, basic food for cheap.
