This was my first time using Dependable after using a different moving service in San Francisco for past moves. They took the time to collect inventory upfront, asking lots of questions to provide me with an accurate quote, which I greatly appreciated. They were extremely responsive and the quote was 100% accurate after the move, even though I added a couple items since the initial quote. They provide wardrobe boxes and all the necessary materials for the move and were the most efficient movers I've ever used. I would be shocked if you could find movers with better rates and customer service! The cost was much lower than other quotes I received from a couple other moving companies. Highly recommend!! read more

Wow!! I am so impressed with this experience and genuinely if I ever move again I'll be using this company again and recommending to my friends. My movers were Yelaman and Vanya and they were amazing they checked in times regarding what I wanted moved what I needed help with, where I wanted things to go, and it was such a smooth process. They were really gentle with our stuff and there's a lot of communication between us when it was necessary. They wrapped our items for us to protect it like glass, our couch, shelves so that was protected and when they were done. They also unwrapped everything for us. My boyfriend and I were also moving out small things while they were moving out our bigger boxes and items and it made our whole moving experience so seamless and easy. I can't recommend this company enough, this completely changed moving experience for the better and made me hate moving just a little bit less. It was completely worth the money, they were so quick and extremely helpful. read more

I did not end up booking this company because I found a more affordable option. I only spoke with this company once and it was to obtain my quote. Once the quote was given to me in this initial call, I declined the service. Since then, I have received over 15 phone calls and text messages from different numbers trying to contact me to use their company. I have repeatedly asked for them to stop contacting me. I am so glad I did not use this company because this level to disrespect for my "no" and borderline harassment is unacceptable. Stop contacting me! Response to your comment: I said on the phone I was not interested and not to contact me further 1/17/24. I have 8 missed calls on my phone and 5 text messages. On 1/27, I replied and said I was not interested again and to stop contacting me. I received phone calls with messages on 1/28 and 1/29 asking me to reconsider. So yes, I was contacted 15 times and your team continued to contact me after I asked twice to stop. I have receipts and I will post them if you try to discredit me. read more

Dependable movers moved us down to LA from SF. They were professional, on time, and very efficient. They managed to pack our 3 bedroom home (including garage with some motorcycles) into a single truck. I really researched different moving companies, keeping to local movers only sincce we have done these long distance moves in the past with national chain companies and it was a bad experience.. and Dependable movers were by far the best rated and easiest to work with. We are in our house and so so pleased with the entire experience. Nothing broken, the movers/ packers were so friendly and accommodating. The foreman communicated clearly and updated us the status of our stuff the entire drive down. Thank you dependable movers!! read more

As their name implies, they were very dependable. Ken and Nick called to arrive early, and they quickly and carefully wrapped all of our furniture and took it to our storage unit where they packed it in professionally. I have attached a photo of the storage unit packed professionally. They were already very friendly and polite. read more

The five star reviews are no lie. I asked Dependable Movers for a full service, white glove move. I told them, 'I don't want to have to do anything,' and Mike assured me the team will take care of all details. They came and I had not packed a single box or organized everything. With a cheerful attitude they boxed up everything-- all my clothes hanging in the closet, all my kitchen items, books-- everything. Loaded and unloaded it into the truck efficiently. Big shoutout to Mark and his team for continuously checking in with me how they were doing, for any instructions on where to place things etc. It was a long day, 8+ hour job, and I am very appreciative I was able to have a stress free move! It was even raining and dark at the end of the day as they kept working to unload and they didn't complain at all, just kept it moving with a friendly attitude! Btw I did call other companies and they said they could do this but not that, had to check with their foreman about certain requests I had, blamed competitors for leaving fake bad Yelp reviews, etc etc. With Dependable Movers they were professional and ready to help with every single detail from the get go! They also showed up on time and confirmed the day before, good communication. THANK YOU dependable movers! read more

Fast, efficient, on time in and on time out these guys are DEPENDABLE for sure. Not only are these guys affordable they were quick and efficient. They arrived ready to go, they asked questions to make sure they were moving the right items. When we arrived at the new place they asked where everything should go and even took the time setting up our living exactly how we wanted. These guys are going to be our go to movers moving forward! read more

We cannot recommend these guys enough!! The communication was amazing! We needed help with our big furniture items and they helped above and beyond. They work fast and efficiently. They even helped move extra items we had not originally planned on. Also, they helped disassemble an item we didn't get to do before they arrived. We felt the price was well worth it and affordable. They helped get our big items packed up and moved in less time than we were quoted. If this is helpful for making your choice, we were not on a time crunch, we planned on assembling the furniture ourselves once it was at our new home, and we moved within the same city. Parking at both locations was not on busy or jam packed streets. We did have stairs in our move out location. We had a good feeling about this company and we are so thankful we went with that intuition. read more

Ali and Sergey were great! Very efficient and hardworking team. They moved around 10 heavy furniture items down a tricky flight of stairs, a large desk had to be disassembled for the move, which was done quickly with every screw carefully saved for easy reassembly. I'm a returning customer after hiring Dependable to do a larger more complex move the week before which also went smoothly and was reasonably priced. Highly recommended! read more

Highly recommend & would be my first choice in Bay Area: 1. Proactive communication (answering questions and confirming reservation). 2. Quality work: Oleg and colleague showed up promptly & hustled continuously and smoothly, yet handled my items with care. 3. Professional and positive attitude. Overall, it was as hassle-free as could be moving my 1+ bedroom into a pod for safe cross country move! read more

Really appreciate how fast, professional, and thoughtful our movers were. We moved from our cluttered 3 bedroom apartment in Walnut Creek to a townhouse in Oakland with many stairs, and from parking to navigating the stairs, our movers worked hard and fast but were very careful with our stuff. They packed some fragile and oversized electronics with more care than I would have, and everything was in great shape, including our floors and walls. Their pricing was extremely transparent and fair, with no surprises (I would recommend being thorough with the inventory you submit for an estimate). Ended up paying slightly less than the original estimate. We will hopefully get to work with them again on our next move! read more

****Updated 8/11/23 Gulia was very kind and helpful in helping resolve our issues and she was able to meet our request for compensation for the damages to the mattress. I appreciated her willingness to fix this and open to the feedback I had with my experience. ---------------------------------------------- I expected the moving quality to be great, based on so many quality reviews, but it has been a very frustrating experience. Our mattress was damaged by the move, and working with their claims processing was also very frustrating. I stated on multiple occasions that no one ever explained to me that there was more than one protection plan and that I had the option to purchase full coverage. $0.60/lb for my damaged mattress is hardly enough to replace a mattress that is now lumpy and painful to sleep on. The mattress was in fine condition prior to the move but the movers kept insisting that the lumps were normal wear and tear and they did nothing wrong. You can now feel the coils poking at you when you lay on it. There were also many items that I asked them not to pack, because they were junk, but somehow ended up in the boxes. I really wanted to give them a chance, but it's been extremely frustrating. read more

I really can't speak highly enough about this company and its employees. In an era where customer service and thoughtfulness seem too often assigned to the trash heap, this outfit knows how it important those traits are for satisfaction and loyalty. They scheduled our move back from their storage facility on a Sunday at no additional cost. They gave an accurate estimate of the time needed to complete the move. They gave cash discounts. They were extremely thoughtful and careful moving boxes and furniture into our newly renovated house. They did not knick a single wall or scratch a single floor. They covered the bannisters in moving cloths and did everything they could to ensure that our stuff and our house was undamaged. On the move out they disassembled furniture and on the move back they reassembled it and all the parts and screws were there! The team was very courteous and efficient. They placed everything where we asked without hesitation. I honestly hope I will never need them again (let's face it, moving sucks), but if I do, I will DEFINITELY use them again. read more

This is was AMAZING! This was no easy move, we had three different drop off locations and a warehouse full of stuff. 30 min before the move they called and texted to let me know their time of arrival. They were very chipper and polite which started the morning of great! At 9am I was greeted by Ali who is the leader of the team, he was my main point of contact and liaison between both his crew and I. He took his time to guide me through the moving process and made it way more efficient than I would ever think. His full team Ali, Alis, Jasur, and Bain was so friendly and took care of everything including the packing and wrapping of all my items. The team is so kind and made the moving process seamless and not to mention FAST for 3 drop off locations. They also came prepared with boxes, tape, covers, and extra dolly's. A all around great group of professionals. They even individually wrapped my plates, bowls, and cups. Their attention to detail was impeccable and all of my items arrived in the same condition. Not to mention every step of the way Ali called me to update me on the status of of sorting, packing, and drop offs at different locations. This was suppose to be over 12 hour job and the team was able to get it done in 8 hours. They even took pictures of all the items on my moving list to make sure they collected everything while I was running around the city. I think we only did two walk thru of the huge warehouse and he was able to remember every note and items requested to be taken. At the 2 other drop off locations they were met by my colleagues and was so polite and gentle with the furniture when taking them down a couple flights of stairs. My teams even followed up with me to raved about how efficient and nice the moving team was and even sent me pictures of how neatly they placed our furniture. This was probably the easiest move I've done ever. This team was responsive, professional, fast, and the rates are hard to beat especially for a team of 4. I would highly recommend Ali, Jasur, Bain, and Ali's for your moving team when using Dependable Movers SF. read more

This was my second move with DM and I had another fantastic experience! There are lots of stressors on moving day -- you worry that things aren't packed well or labeled correctly, you worry that boxes might fall and things might break, you worry that you won't have the tools, strength or stamina to dismantle/setup all the things, you worry your movers will take their sweet time moving. No. Our moving team, Oleg, Georgii and Sergei made any of our worries melt away immediately. These guys are a great team. They work really well together and I feel so lucky to have had their help!! They are strong, experienced and fast and went the extra mile to ensure everything was packed safely, securely and with care. NOTHING was broken upon arrival to our new home, and we had a LOT of stuff including large fragile plants, tvs and monitors, glassware, large mirrors and media equipment. To DM: All I can say is thank you so much. Your service is worth every penny, and then some. To everyone else, you'll be in good hands. Also, don't forget to tip your movers!! read more

Just moved from San Francisco to Palm Springs and these guys did a great job. The packing and moving crew was really on top of things - they took great care wrapping up and packing everything I didn't get to, and despite pouring rain everything got to the desert dry as could be. The office did a pretty good job with estimates and scheduling, but I wish an on site visit had happened since we ended up needing an additional truck to make it happen. Regardless of that snag, everyone delivered and a stressful day didn't spiral into a disaster. Price was great, communication good, and the team that showed up to work was top notch. read more

Tricky company. Slow, tired movers. The initial quote seem to be cheaper than others but we end up paying for over 7 hours of moving and $1700 Our family was moving within 3 miles from a 2 bedroom apartment to our new place in town. We paid $89 deposit over an estimate they provided by a link and decided to hire dependable movers because of the good reviews on Yelp and also they seem to have a very advanced online inquiry system. Our questions was answered timely and they seem to know what they are talking about. We were initially quoted with 2 movers $146/hour for 3-5 hours plus a $189 equipment fee for our move. Then after we paid deposit and completed a inventory count they changed our estimate to 3 movers $189/hour for 3-5 hours stating with the inventory we submitted, to avoid 2 movers being burnt out and moving time prolonged significantly they have bumped up our estimate. It seem to make sense at that time so we agreed. Also we didn't know what was going to happen to our deposit if we didn't agree. We had a appointment to move for 9/22 at 9am, the dependable movers truck showed up at 9:15 and one of the mover immediately begin discussing payment and rate with us, which was very strange since it was already decided and we signed a contract and paid deposit 2 weeks ahead of time. The three movers appears to be in their mid 40s and seem to be very unorganized and NO HUSSLE AT ALL. In the first hour, they were able to move 60% of the item and then too tired for the rest of the job. It took them 6 more hours to move the rest of 40% and taking their time to chat by the truck. Very disappointed experience. Some items was also damaged during the move. read more

First off. Thank you Yelaman and Ali for such a wonderful service. It's worth noting that a mover's job is not easy but Yelaman and Ali sure make it look easy. Some context: I was living in San Francisco, on a 7th floor of an apartment building. I needed to move everything to Hayward. These two gentleman arrived earlier than the planned time, and got started right away. They were all smiles and prepared for the heavy lifting. The whole formalities were made easy because it's all processed on the phone, and very easy to understand. As soon as that was done, they got started right away. Yelaman and Ali are rockstars when it comes to wrapping items they are quick and efficient. For additional cost they have bubble wrap and other materials for added safety. With my items I needed these additional materials. When they get started, they get going! Living in an old apartment building we did not have a service elevator with ample size. Yelaman and Ali were patient and persistent on getting the job done, which they did moving 20+ pieces of furniture - and wrapping them in just TWO HOURS. If you're looking for a service that is fast moving, efficient when it comes to securing your items Yelaman and Ali at Dependable Movers are the perfect team. While they work they have a smile on their face, and will make a moving experience less stressful; because they understand how the experience can be. Wow, what a load of stress this has taken off for me. I contacted dependable movers Thursday & was in desperate need of an emergency vacant. I think 1,200$ for a full 1000sq apartment is a good value. I even had to make some adjustments with the location points, thought this would've been a hassle but nope, they team knew every detail. I appreciate they wanted to view both areas to ensure if they were going to have any trouble. This company also offered full white glove service & could box all your items for you as well. I chose to box up as much as I could, as I only had one day to complete this. No problems. Team arrived & immediately got right to work! No lollygagging & in 90 degree weather at that. They even made boxes by hand for precious items like my tv & other things. They left no mess, no wall scuffs, & were extremely diligent about my personal belongings. Dropping off my items, they team even offered to help unbox, or just group together boxes in designated rooms. It took me 3 days to move in a 2 bedroom apartment & it took them 3/4 hours loading in & unloading. WOW! Absolutely amazing! Thank you so much to Aj & his team (Buyan, Zhanat, Nurbek). Movers were very nice but not the fastest. I'll let the numbers speak - moved out from 1 room in a shared apartment to a 450 sqft studio. Elevators in both apartment complexes. 4.5 hours and $1000+ total bill. Friend did the exact same move (plus her destination was a walk up) and got it done in 2.5 hours. Her move cost $500 with Perez Movers. Dependable is probably going to reply to this and say there was a long walk, elevators were slow and not reserved etc etc. Fine, but just know if you're considering a similar move be ready to shell out $1000+. read more

This company had great reviews and a lot of it. Upon doing research, I ended up choosing Dependable Movers & I would probably use them again for the next move. To start off with, the company is great at keeping in contact with you regarding all your moving needs. Too great, that I was too busy myself and unable to answer a lot of their calls, but they we're awesome in making sure everything my on my invoice and all the things I needed were there. Nothing too hard in the fine print I had Bal & Dimitri as my movers for a 2 crew job, 1 truck. They were super nice and very quick & efficient. They kept all my furniture safe & did the move in a timely manner! They wrap up your stuff in blankets and plastic wrap, if you have smaller things to move they put everything in boxes for you and wrap them in plastic for safety too. All this stuff plus assembly & reassembly/placement comes with the price! I did use Zelle/cash as it made the move even more affordable. Definitely would recommend :) read more
