He even personally called the home warranty company to negotiate the buy-out price on our behalf right on site. We discussed financing options (they have a few). We ultimately decided to replace the entire unit. The installation team came out at 6:30 am, just 48 hours after making our decision. Brian and Oscar were so polite and professional. Once the new unit was installed, they came in and even fixed our thermostat mounting that had come loose. Shortly after the new unit was running...it quit. They came in to tell us the bad news, BUT they had a new unit on the way, and they stayed on-site the entire time. The new unit arrived and was installed quickly. Cody had been very responsive during the entire process. These guys were great! They went through every detail and completed the job with a smile. :)

Rescheduled for the next day Friday 11/8 at 8am and didn't hear anything until I texted the service number to ask why they didn't show up that morning as well, and no response when I texted hours later at 12:36PM to tell them the technician didn't show and no apology or anything. I knew it was more. I had read about ALIEN Air online so I contacted this company and they fit me in the next day after I had told them I could not wait 2 days for an opening. I am so very glad I tried a new family owned service. Right off the bat he showed me that my wires were fried. He got the AC cooling but needed to reschedule a in a week to fix other serious issues that he had no time for. When he returned, he was on my roof for over 3 hours. My drain was so plugged up and coils filthy that it required serious work. This AC was new in 2018! I had had yearly service without fail. I will NEVER GO BACK to the other company as He FAIMED to properly service my new AC! I also required a fan to be replaced...my freon was so low it too needed replenishing. Chris, the owner worked with another technician and kept me abreast with video photos showing the entire work needing done. I am so very impressed, grateful to have switched to this Company. I am 75, live alone, unable with my 4 dogs, AFIB and a broken leg to have dealt with 110 weather that week. I am also so disappointed to find that a friend took yearly payments & Never provided even a basic service as requested to make sure my AC never failed to cool my home. I have NEVER PREFERED LOW PRICE OVER QUALITY WORK. I highly recommend Chris and his Company ALIEN AC because he believes in proper preventative service of ALL AC units! A tech came out to our historical home in April to investigate an attic that was somehow cooler than the home. The tech found tape on our duct work and after taking the tape off, left us with a completely dismantled duct. We were left with the option to pay the company $900 for repairs or be left with no AC. We paid the company, had the repairs done, and were told we would need to repair the remainder of duct work soon. Fast forward 7 months and we asked for a tech to come out to repair the remaining duct work. The tech texted my husband, stating that the fix would be a simple seal and would be quick. He even offered to service our system while he was out, as we pay into Island Breeze's maintenance program. Come to find out, this service tech texted my husband these updates without yet checking out our attic. 30 minutes later, he's pressuring us to completely reduct the entire system and tells us he doesn't have time to service the system. We told him we would need to see a quote before agreeing to anything. We were promised a quote later that evening, but were only sent a $120 bill for his visit. When we called the office to follow up, they seemed confused and said they would need to send another tech out to investigate. A week later another tech comes to visit us. He's ready to start the reduct project. We had to clarify that we were still waiting on a quote. We also asked if there was any other solution, and we were finally given the option to just repair the second half of the ductwork (the option originally marketed to us from the first tech) Another week goes by before we call the office and finally get a quote, $3157 for the reduct without acknowledgement of the $900 we were charged earlier for forced repairs. We asked if we could have a quote for the repair and are still waiting. After several weeks of playing the run around game with Island Breeze, we still have no answers. Honestly, we should have known this company wasn't it after they forced us into a $900 repair in September.

Definitely could have been communicated and handled better. Alex, their manager, came out and helped do the job himself. They get an extra star for Alex. The delays were on the manufacturer's end, the poor communication was their staff though.

We also enrolled in their Preventative Maintenance Program, which included a 27-point spring tune-up and a 32-point fall tune-up. We faithfully paid for and completed these twice-yearly maintenance visits from 2017 through 2025. On June 2, 2025, Rescue One Air performed one of our scheduled tune-ups. At the time, the unit was making a loud squealing noise. The technician completed the inspection covered under our maintenance plan and told us he found no concerns with the unit or the attic equipment. He needed additional parts to fix the squealing issue, so a follow-up appointment was scheduled for June 5, when the repair was completed. On the morning of June 7, 2025, our master bedroom closet ceiling caved in. The drywall and insulation were soaked and moldy, and water continued dripping from the attic. I immediately called Rescue One Air, and they sent a technician within about two hours. The technician showed me a PVC pipe from the attic AC equipment that had no glue or sealant on the connection. He explained that the pipe had not been properly sealed and that it had been slowly leaking over time until the water-soaked insulation became heavy enough for the ceiling to collapse. After paying for Rescue One's maintenance program for nine years--and having the attic equipment inspected twice a year--we were shocked that this had never been identified. The technician told us the issue was Rescue One's responsibility, helped arrange for a remediation company to begin the cleanup and dry-out process, gave us his supervisor's email, and told us the company would reimburse our $1,000 homeowners insurance deductible. That never happened. The damage required insurance, professional remediation, ceiling replacement, insulation replacement, and weeks of repairs. After the repairs were completed, I left multiple voicemail messages and sent numerous emails. Rescue One Air never returned a single call or email. We paid for nine years of preventative maintenance because we believed it would help prevent exactly this kind of expensive property damage. Instead, after a ceiling collapse and significant water damage that their own technician said stemmed from an improperly sealed AC pipe, Rescue One stopped communicating with us entirely. That's what has been the most disappointing part of this experience.

Got everything replace but the guy had to tear down the attic steps to get to the furness in the attic. He tape it up with aluminum tape and stated he will send someone to get that replaced as it was covered under the warranty. 3 years later still not fixed. Be cautious with this guy with whatever he tells you.
