For spice level we usually get medium or medium hot, and it's got some fire to it. As for the rice, I swear that sometimes it arrives not entirely cooked (maybe 95%?). Nothing like having a few hard rice kernels but when you don't have a lot of options you're not too picky. As for the rest of the menu, they don't even have papaya salad. And the prices are really high. I am guessing it's high due to its location and high rent prices because $18 for mediocre pad Thai is ridiculous. Again, it's a convenience thing for my boyfriend and me and it's quick and easy. As long as one of us is happy and there is a quick Thai option in our backyard, this place works. I did recently however venture out and tried Khao Soi Thai in Lafayette which is about 10 minutes from Busaba. Hands down, my new go to Thai restaurant (as long as I don't mind the 10 min drive).
