I flew with Denver Air while going to visit family for a week. The flight was almost empty and at the destination there were only 2 bags unloaded, neither one of them mine. Yes, they manage to lose a third of the flights luggage. Accidents happen so I wasn't to upset about it. What did bother me is they did not seem to care at all. They refused to even make an attempt to deliver the luggage when it came in. When we went back to the airport to try picking it up again the flight was delayed until after midnight. We ended having to make a third trip to the airport days after the original flight. My suitcase finally arrived... with the wheel ripped off. In total I spent half my vacation without my own clothes, had to buy additional clothes, spent literally hours driving, and was delivered severely damaged luggage.
I contacted the airline for help getting this worked out and they were nice but ultimately didn't do much. After being required to email them a receipt, they paid for the emergency clothes I bought but offered no compensation for the hours driving, fuel, or inconvenience caused by there service. They offered to pay for the damage to my luggage but only after I'd had it repaired and emailed them a receipt. I don't even know if it could be repaired with several rips, bent plastic, and the wheel ripped off. No offer at all for the lost time due to their ridiculously bad service.
Looking at reviews this is not the first time they've lost luggage and refused to do anything about it. Do yourself a favor and fly with an airline that at least pretends to care about their customers. read more
