Alaska Airlines is not a bad gig. Being one of the 5th largest airliners in the United States, Alaska opens up new routes between California And Montana!! (2021) How exciting!! In economy, within Alaska, two bags are free, which are a stellar deal; you're looking at about a minimum of 12 hours of flying. You better get comfortable. I'm from Denver, so flying from DEN to Sitka would be about 25 hrs and 27 mins!! HOLY COW. The other typical airlines charges to destinations: 1st bag $30, 2nd bag $40. Appearing to be stuck on a long flight to Alaska, it would make sense to comp bag prices. Most people choose other airlines to fly domestic, so the fees are understandable for checked bags. COVID INFO WHEN FLYING TO ALASKA March 2021: Negative COVID-19 test required within 72 hours before departure!! Hopefully things will change in the future. Overall, such an awesome airline and I'm absolutely impressed by their commitment to fly!

    The plane should be attached.

5 stars only because of Debbie who customer service at Sea-Tac, she was a godsend. She not only rebooked us, but gave us a generous amount of meal vouchers which allowed to have a very nice breakfast and lunch to bring on the plane with us. Our luggage wasn't in Denver, as planned, but they actually delivered everything to Breckenridge so we were able to ski the next day. They may have dropped the ball initially, but picked it up and ran it in when it mattered.

Alaska Airlines has got a great thing going on! ++ Super friendly flight attendants! ++ Reasonable pricing! ++ Charging outlets in the seat back! ++ Tons of leg room (even in the economy seating)! Easy to see that I am def impressed! I know I will be flying Alaska Airlines more in the future!

Most intelligent of the stewards and stewardesses in this domestic airline. Last minute, fully booked flight that I was able to catch & it was kinda fun. Seats are in rows of 3 and have that nice comfy non fabric feel. A dim sum looking cart distributes an assortment of beverages & I am impressed how calm and sweet the staff treats others. They didn't offer any medical marijuana pretzels but the plain ones were okay. The are called mini pretzels. Smooth outside surface with bits of kosher salt randomly scattered on its exterior. Their size makes it quite easy to savor one piece at a time although the texture is a bit stale. I expected more of a crisp exterior and dense but airy interior- similar to that of a pretzel rod, however these are pretzel knots and carry their own appeal. I would recommend Alaska airlines when you need a change of scenery & want a short flight while staying within the pacific time zone.

The app didn't make it look like it was. Frontier didn't tell me. They just told me to visit the airport a little earlier. I'm glad I checked with TSA and learned before I inconvenienced myself. Check in at the airport was easy. I was able to board with the first group. I was happy that I didn't have to pay for a seat assignment. Cokes were nearly $5 but free on my return flight on American Airlines. I was bummed there wasn't any movies on board. The flight was effortless and easy from DCA to my layover in Colorado. The next flight to Vegas was great. The flight crew was nice.

Yesterday, April 4, 2026 I originally had a flight to Houston at 11:30AM. Houston was the layover to my final destination of Atlanta. At 10AM I was told that the first flight was delayed an hour which was going to cause me to miss the second flight. Myself and two other people approached the gate to resolve the issue and was told that the only option is a direct flight to Atlanta that doesn't leave until 10PM. I was immediately irritated because I had been there since 8AM and 10PM is a long time to wait. I respectfully asked if they could ask the flight in Houston to just hold off since we would be getting there late by 2 minutes. The very rude woman at the desk replied "if it was more of you but it's just 3 of you." So the three of us don't matter? Obviously what I'm asking can be done, but because it's 3 of us we don't have the option to try to make our flight that was inconvenienced because of your company! Truly disgusting. I was told my other option was to take the flight and "see if they can help you." While I understand that things happen out of employee's control, the attitude and the lack of empathy is what made the situation worse. However, that was not even the worst of it all. I sat in the airport a total of 12 hours just to get banned from boarding my flight. I came with a backpack that I always take with me, that fits under the seat, a personal item. I did not have a purse or anything else. The backpack was all I had, but being at the airport so long I had purchased a charger, water and food so I was carrying that plastic bag with my personal item as we were boarding. I was told to step aside to speak to someone about my bag. Not at the counter, or outside of the boarding area, I was standing at the entrance of the boarding area. After standing there several minutes and no one approached me I thought maybe she wasn't talking to me. After all, I have never had a problem with this bag. I start walking towards the ramp and a lady asked me to come back. I explained to her what I just explained to you and she said that my plastic bag of food counts as my personal item so I have to pay $99 for my backpack. I'm flustered because I fly allllll the time and everytime I'm in the airport I get water and snacks and take them with me. Not one person on 100s of trips have ever approached me about that bag! The lady already told me I had to pay, but continues to make me weigh it. As I'm weighing it, it now doesn't fit because I put the bag of snacks there. After she yelled for the 10th time "it's $99!" I said, fine, here is my card!! After I said that she says, "you're being loud and disrespectful so I'm not letting you on!" I never once raised my voice or was rude. She thought I didn't have any money and when I did she created another problem. I pleaded with her to let me on because I had been at the airport 12 hours and I needed to get home to my children! She wouldn't even look up from her phone. I pulled out my phone to text my babysitter that I might not be coming home and she goes "I was about to let you on but you're secretly recording me!" I picked up my phone IMMEDIATELY to show her my text thread and she continued to tell them to close the door.

After the trip, I contacted United's Business Customer service. They initially claimed it was all about "limited space". Not true at all. There was a guy standing next to me checking 2 large bags that were just under 70 lbs. He was a United gold member. I was not. They gladly accepted his 60+ lb bags. United Business then wrote and told me that they had the right to charge me $200 for a 53 lb bag. No partial refund. Of course they could do a partial refund in the name of good customer service but chose not to. I would never recommend United.com to anyone. Watch out for their "variable" rules.

It's a rather plain room, chairs, coffee/tea, and tables. Feels a bit like a break room for staff. The plane was clean, albeit a bit old. Flight crew was great, checking in often, without being a pest. WiFi worked solid the entire flight. The in flight service is an ecological nightmare. Everything has single use plastic. For a yogurt, I got a plastic spoon, knife, and fork. This on top of the plastic cup and two levels of plastic lids. A bottle of water was a tiny plastic bottle, and it soon felt bad to get anything more. My kid needs me to leave a planet to enjoy, not save. The Colorado ground crew was good. One guy was outstanding. I believe his name was Connor. He went out of his way to acknowledge people and help them. I watched how he did this with his colleagues too. If I were hiring, he's the type of employee I would try to steal. When I arrived into Boulder, the ground crew was less than pleasant, minus the previous mention. But when I flew out the entire ground crew was friendly and nice. The lounge isn't. It's just the lobby for everything, not just JAX. The coffee/tea machines were not on and are little more than the smallest Kureg one can buy. Back on the plane, service was top notch. We did leave two hours late. The plane was too heavy, given the luggage situation. (Some folks had a lot, and it looked heavy.). They got everyone's body weight and calculated if we were still too heavy. If we were, they would have to stay on the ground and burn off fuel. Great, more waste. Thankfully, some skinny people saved us and we left, arriving home two+ hours late. So it goes, it was still better than dealing with the crowded airport. The people make this business, so I hope they are taken care of well.

I understand stuff happens but come on.. everytime i fly in and out to Denver there's something. I arrived at Heathrow hours early as I shared a cab with a coworker and his flight was much earlier. I could not check in on the app or on the website in the day prior, so I stood in line for close to an hour at the American window where they told me I was actually flying BA (my travel record showed American) and I needed to go to another terminal. I got to that terminal and tried to get in line to check in but BA employee said I needed to use the kiosk. I explained I was unable to check in on apps or online and needed an agent. They insisted I try the kiosk first. Unsurprisingly.. it didn't work. I was allowed to get in the check in line with an agent where I stood for the next almost 2 hours. Yes, 2 hours standing on a concrete floor. My back was screaming (old people problems, I know). I finally got up to an agent who said I wasn't able to check in because I needed to show my visa. I pulled up my British electronic visa and she said "no love, your American visa".. while holding my American passport in her hand. I explained I don't need a visa because I am an American returning to my home country. She looked confused but decided she needed to call someone to help. I stood while she was on hold and transferred around to different places who eventually told her it was an issue in the system today and they would remove the error. She then told me I had no seat on the flight because it was oversold and they couldn't guarantee I would get on, so they may have to book my on the next flight which was the next day or would need to look at another airline for me. She gave me a boarding pass that was or standby and said to hurry to the gate to try and get a seat. I got in the security line and about 15 minutes later, I was up.. I scanned my boarding pass and it errored out, not letting me through. An employee told me I had to get in a different line to see what was wrong with my boarding pass. I stood in anther line for a good 40 minutes. Once I got help, they told me I couldn't get through because I don't have a seat and would have to fly standby. I explained, yes.. that's why I have a standby boarding pass. It says standby on it. She said it wasn't standby in the system and it needed to be fixed, so she had to call someone to assist. Another 15 minutes later and they couldn't get it to work and I was going to miss the flight, she said she would take me through a different security line so I could get to the gate. She did that and I had to take a train to get to the gate, which wasn't working for about 5 minutes because it was having a "security sweep" with officers and dogs going through it. I finally got on the train, got off at the right place, ran all the way to the gate as they were boarding. Asked if they had a seat for me, and they huffily said they did but I almost didn't because I waited so long to get to the gate. Are you kidding me? I got on the plane and will be happy to never fly British Airlines again. I guess all the great luck I've had traveling was made up for on this trip. Just terrible.
