It's a great bar. The staff are friendly and efficient. They make your evening better. Their menu is pretty broad and it appears they do most dishes from scratch. This was our second visit Denton Daily Double. During our first visit, we experienced an extended wait for our food; however, the meal was good,so we decided to return. On our most recent visit, we arrived around 7:30 p.m., ordered our meals and a few drinks, and waited approximately an hour and a half without receiving our food. Our server did not return to our table for over 30 minutes. When I approached the bar to inquire, staff were unsure who our server was but said someone would come by. After another 10 minutes with no follow-up, we decided to leave. The restaurant has a lot of potential, but the customer service and overall wait times need significant improvement. read more

This place never disappoints, super nice inside with plenty of space and tables, plenty of Keno and slots to try your luck. Our waitress was outstanding, took great care of us, we had a pretty decent sized order, not only did the food come out faster than expected, it was also exactly how we ordered it and cooked perfectly. I ordered the Jalapeño Jack Burger with Bacon and have to say this is the best burger around. The prime rib was tender and delicious. The king-cut was surprisingly thin. It was maybe little more than one half inch thick.The bakedpotato was average but soggy. The salad was full of gristle chunks of lettuce and a few soft leaves. The service was adequate and the prices were on par. read more

Revising option and as We used to go here with our parents and wanted to recreate a memory. It was Saturday prime rib night at we arrived at 530. Pretty full and a waiter said to sit at a table near keno booth. Man from the booth came out yelling that it was reserved. It seemed like he was the owner or manager as the level of authority he was telling everyone to get up and off the table. My 72 year old father tried to tell him we were told to sit here and he yelled to get up and he can guarantee it was reserved. We Went back to waiter asked him if this man was the owner and he said he is just the keno guy. They Need to figure out who is in charge, and people eating there are not your staff that you can treat this way. Then we ordered, Prime rib was ice cold. Asked to send back when brought back was told he dunked it something and pan fried it. Now I had tried two bites from this steak and used my utensils, which meant cross contamination to the warming broth. 2nd attempt was now cool and rubbery. Sent back and asked for new cut. Still came out cold. If the are refrigerating cuts and just warming up this is not a true steak house any longer. And a steak house that can't cook steak ??? We have 2 x in 2 months and must say won't be happening again on our next trip back to Nebraska. read more

First of all the service was great but prime rib was cut thin and my steak was over seasoned. Huge potato with plenty of butter and sour cream. Too many unseasoned green beans and tasteless bread stick. Wish places had small portions for those that just don't eat that much. Lowering my review significantly. Place was very busy tonight but they need to get their act together and hire staff. Had to wait about 30-45 minutes for our dinner. Appetizer never did show up and the waitress snapped at us that we should have told her. That's not our job to remind her. When we received our meals I had mushrooms on my order, which I hadn't requested. Waitress came back and said we could have one of the four meals free because of the miss up with the appetizers and the long wait but when we received our bill no meal was taken off. She said she had told us she would take the appetizer off the bill. What!? Of course you would as we didn't get them in the first place. No one asked for a free meal, nor did we expect one. However, when you offer one then one should be expected without some bogus excuse. By the way, the prime rib was rather tepid at best. They need to staff up (second time we've had to sit and wait for food). Came back again due to request of family members. Ribeye was the thinnest I've ever seen. Probably sirloin. Everything is so great here! The food is fantastic, the service is fantastic, the atmosphere is fantastic. I honestly have nothing to complain about. I do have to recommend the jalapeño poppers and the delicious sauce that comes with! And you have to play at least one game of keno there. Went here with a friend who lives in Denton. Service is good, food is fresh and had good flavor and the dining area clean. It does seem to accumulate an "older" crowd so can end up with some pretty interesting stories and chat from the people at the table next to you. read more

The food isn't bad but the service is SO SLOW. We showed up around 1pm for lunch and it took an hour to get food for four people. Our cheese stick appetizer took 20 minutes and the place wasn't even full. Do not come here unless you have and hour and a half, at least. read more

Have gone here for years and have good Food after Friday Nights Experience I will never go back and I will be filing my complaint with the Health Department Officials on Monday. To Start off we sat and waited 10 min before we were greeted by a server. Ordered drinks, apps, and our meals. Apps come out drinks then the wait began. Now we ordered chicken strips, two burgers, and a patty melt all with fries. after 30 min they arrive my bun was black and my wife's patty melt was soggy as it had been sitting for sometime and fries were cold. I pull the manager over to the table and explain the situation how we like coming there but the experience was not good. She takes the food back to the Kitchen and then comes back to our table. While she is in the Kitchen I can hear things banging and being thrown around in the Kitchen. She comes back and says she is sorry but her hands are tied and she would fire the entire staff if the owners would let her. Then without blinking an eye she tells us if I were you I would get up and leave. I give her this puzzled look and she continues "You hear all that banging and Yelling coming from the Kitchen?" Yes, "Well that is the Kitchen Manager / Cook, he does this when things go back. I would not eat anything if it comes back out as I can't say what he is going to do to your food and I wouldn't want to know." Needless to say we got up and left but tampering with someone's food.....They have lost a customer for life and I will never be back or go there again. read more

Two times in the last few months I have been to Denton Daily Double. The ambience is noisy. Service was slow. Most recently I had the low carb steak and salad. The steak was perfect medium rare. I have had most things of the menu and the main dish is good, steaks and prime rib butt the sides are cheap as they can be. Salad right out of the bag and the green beans right out of the gallon can. I enjoy the Denton Daily Double. I come out almost every Monday to play poker. They have a very nice poker game full of interesting people. And if you play well you can have a shot at a $10,000 prize! My food has always been good. I don't order the salad because I've seen my friends' salads and they are small. I recommend the Triple D burger with crinkle fries. The burger is huge and the portion of fries is very generous. I also enjoy the chicken strips, but tend to get the kids meal because the regular size is so big. My one gripe is the Pepsi. They charge a dollar for a can of Pepsi. Not until they fix the cook issue they have. I used to love to go get hamburgers there. But I agree with the comment posted May 5,2013. I would go get or take the 2 disabled veterans I care for. I got them hooked on them last year. It became the highlight of the week. We didn't always go on Wednesdays for cheaper hamburgers. Sometime it seems like around April or so the quality was declining. Buns would be cold and not browned. (important to flavor of the hamburger to have the bun toasted right) I always made sure I ordered bun toasted after several yucky disappointing burgers. I was only person in there eating once and it took over 40 minutes to get food. Last time the disabled vet wanted them so bad he drove out there to get them cause I wouldn't go because of bad cook time not wait staff, wait staff usually pretty good. and poor quality. He put order in, another couple came in and sat with him and after 50 minutes of waiting for his order he left. We have sent food back. And heard the explosion of someone acting like "how dare you send food back that I made, I will punish them" . Probably the last 6 times we ate there were so bad I didn't eat even half my burger. There are to many people out there who would love to cook for you without the attitude. You have lost 9 customers from me alone over your cook. My son and his fiancé, there roommate and my 3 friends that I got to go there. They no longer will go over they're own bad experiences in the last 5 months. And Myself and my 2 disabled veterans I care for. I hope that you get new cooks and that things get better would love nothing more than to have a Denton Daily Double Awesome Burger.
