Outside Marquee!

Ever had that hankering for some good old crispy chicken like grandma used to cook? Here's the place to get good golden brown not oily chicken at a place you have to drive a little ways out as a key destination. The wait staff is super friendly adding down-home hospitality to keep you coming back. The environment is full of a well seasoned neighborhood crowd who enjoy the ambiance of the 40's music selections, and the classic decor.

The only beer on tap, Busch Light.

They don't make restaurants like this anymore. I stopped in while visiting family in the area. The vibe is relaxed and I thought it was great that they have a guy playing the organ while you eat. The chicken is good and they offer one beer on tap, Busch Light. This isn't a fancy spot but it's awesome. Just a relaxed place to eat chicken and drink cheap beer.

First, walking into the place is a sort of small town, generational family building, and local icon for those who enjoy it. The restaurant is large, but the table settings are cozy and small. They had a live pianist when I went there with my kids, which was entertaining. A reason for the docket star is that the place has a musty smell and takes some time before you become accustomed to it. Just know that the interaction and food will be worth going in. This is an ode to how long the establishment has been around (Generations!) The food here is delicious and can be unique. The fried onion straws are mainly a favorite of mine, although be aware of the grease they'll have at the bottom. I imagine anything chicken and fried to their specialty will be incredible. I was a bit disappointed with my burger, though. There was a mistake in the order for added cheese, and it was a bit charred. Grievances aside, this place gets four stars instead of less because there was something magical about the place. My kids complained while we were there, but it must have left a profound impression on them. To this day, I hear them requesting to go back nearly every week. Ultimately, it isn't about being perfect, but being personal, approachable, and charming goes a long way.

Affordable, country cookin' and great fried chicken. I haven't found a really great spot for fried chicken in town, and Lee's is definitely a contender. Mac-n-cheese was yummy. Would get more stars if potatoes were real!

It was my mother-in-law's birthday and this was her pick after recently moving back to Lincoln. My husband remembered coming to Lee's 40 years ago as a young child. We walked through the front doors and nothing had changed in 40+ years (they are celebrating 75 years this year). Frankly I was a little apprehensive. This restaurant knows it is in a time warp - they even say so on their menu - and they don't care. They remain focused on doing what they do well. And that is fried chicken -really, really good fried chicken. And the homemade desserts were the icing on the cake. The Oatmeal pie sounds odd, and is definitely unique, but is worth a try. But the Sour Cream Apple is amazing. So if you're in the mood for good, old-fashioned dessert and some of the best fried chicken you'll ever have, it's worth a trek out to Lee's.

We had a girls night at Fleetwood, and overall, it was a really solid experience with great service…read moreand a comfy atmosphere. I didn't drink, but my friends had lots of lovely concoctions floating around. We shared the Parmesan Sirloin Fondue as an appetizer and WOW--this was a favorite. The house-made green chile cheese dip is basically a spicy, savory roux topped with crispy steak tips. It was rich, a little spicy, and incredibly satisfying. I really loved this and would absolutely order it again. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan, and it came with a nice, thick piece of chicken--always appreciated. The San Marzano tomato sauce was good and flavorful, and the dish was well-balanced overall. I'm a little picky about breading, and I didn't love it but flavor-wise it's spot on. I had total plate envy for the teriyaki steak bowl. It looks phenomenal and I will definitely be ordering that next time. One friend had the Moody Bleu Burger (without the jalapeños) and said it was still a bit spicy but tasty overall. Another friend ordered the Veggie Burger, and she said it was really good. She often orders veggie burgers and felt this one held its own. Someone else at the table compared it to the veggie burger at Leadbelly, with high praise. The Bistro Burger was also a hit flavor-wise--Swiss cheese, caramelized onions, and mushrooms worked well together--but the only downside was that the bottom bun got pretty soggy. Fleetwood is definitely worth checking out, and it's a little bit tricky to find, but it's right under the bridges under O St.

I thought this spot in Lincoln, NE was quite good. Nothing out of this world but a solid, solid 4…read moreout of 5 stars! I had the Beef Burgundy, and it was delicious. Root veggies, mashed potatoes, yum! But what stole the show for me was the potato bacon soup. Wow! One of the best I've ever had I must say. Super friendly staff, coupled with a cool music vibe ambience, and you got yourself a nice little restaurant in the haymarket area of town. I would highly recommend coming here if you're in town. You can't go wrong.
