Asian Taste Thai Restaurant - Pad thai with seafood

Asian Taste Thai Restaurant

I had shrimp pad Thai at level 6 spice and my friend had green curry at a 5. The dishes were fresh and so flavorful and just the right amount of heat. 6 is spicy. I would be 10 is FIRE! So, I will be back at this place. It is off the beaten path in a strip mall near an asian market and a gas station. Inside was clean and separated like if you were in an old house. It is a unique little Thai place that I hope you give it a shot. Or order some takeout from. Nice people. I'm just sad that I didn't take photos. If there was a time where they didn't have good food, it appears that things have changed. Excellent hidden gem.

Layout of restaurant was a little weird. Its got little rooms where there are tables in. We were placed in the room on the left. We ordered drinks and food - hubby ordered chicken and beef Hibachi and i ordered pad Thai with a Thai milk tea with boba and less sugar. And veggie spring rolls to share . When they brought my food, the spring rolls rolled off onto the seeving tray and he picked them up and just put it back on the plate- one ding but food was still delicious. Ive seen worse in asia. No biggie. Spring rolls were made fresh in the restaurant- filled w vermicelli and carrots and either turnip/zuchinni. Paired with sweet asian chilli sauce it was good. My Thai milk tea wasn't very strong - i like my tea strong. Boba was recently soft n chewy. Pad Thai was delicious. Strong level of spice. Loved it. I ordered it with crispy pork and that was well executed. Finally I got my mango sticky rice. I was forewarned that the mango was hard - I believe he meant it wasn't ripe. But it was still good. Overall, apart from the little faux pax with the spring rolls this was decent. But I will probably not order the Thai milk tea again. Also, pls note: they do not serve sushi anymore. And they are certified in food safety. The

I usually pair it with something like the Fiery Chicken (which isn't actually fiery unless you want it to be) and samosas. My husband usually goes for the pad Thai, and he's always happy with it. You can choose to order at the cashier or they will take the order from you. Small non descript place. There are just a few tables and minimal decoration. I ordered hot tea, hubs ordered a diet coke. We were served our drinks immediately. We ordered spring rolls as apetiser followed by fiery shrimp for the hubs and bun tay kauswe for me. Spring rolls came and we realized we ordered the wrong ones we had really wanted fried ones. And he said that was egg rolls and swopped it out for us at no charge. Very impressed with seevice Hubby loved his fiery shrimp. When my bun tay kauswe came i was a little taken aback by the bland appearance. But with the lime and chilli flakes, omg was it good!! Never judge a meal by its appearance!!! This meal was worth the venture into the unknown We will be back!!!

I really wanted to like this place! How can you beat homemade noodles right? Even though the…read morewaitress was friendly, our party of seven waited 35 minutes to get our orders. The noodles themselves are good and clearly fresh. $8.00 for a regular portion and $11 for a large serving. The protein add-ons, which had a $3 up-charge, were unfortunately lacking. My husband received three bites of sausage. I ordered the salmon for my protein. There was less than two tablespoons of smoked salmon. My Mom got chicken, which comprised three bite sized pieces. It felt like they were running out of food. The sauces were just okay from a flavor perspective. I had a vegetarian tomato which honestly could have used more salt, garlic, basil and oregano. My husband said his beef sauce was also lacking in flavor. All of the tables were full of customers. And even though the space is small, it would have accommodated a few more tables, which would have immediately benefited the restaurant. While we were there we overheard the waitress explain the wait time and transition some customers to "to go orders." The waitress kept our drinks re-filled and comped us two creme brûlée's for the table (it was my husbands birthday). But my father-in-law was disappointed they were out of the lemon tart as well as the chocolate mousse, both of which we're still listed on the dessert board. Sad face. We were told they would get their dessert order tomorrow. They were charging $6 for frozen desserts they were mostly out of- (not impressed). We suggest the management get a license to sell wine, as that would have been a nice addition to the meal. We support local businesses and we really want this business to succeed, but they need to fine tune their pricing/portion sizes, i.e. if the tiny amount of protein just came with the $8 or $11 pasta dish instead of being up charged I would have been more satisfied.

It's hard to bust heir chops in the first week of being open. This is definitely not a franchise. But a small local business starting up. I spoke with the executive chef prior to opening He stated that all pasta and sauce is made fresh in-house every day. Cost - start with the $6 or $8 bowl of pasta, gluten free is available . Add protein (5 choices)for 2-3 dollars. A meal for one will run from $8-$12. A salad will set you back $8 They don't have Hours posted so i asked and posted it to yelp They opened March 13 or 14. I came in for Monday lunch with a Latino friend of mine. The pasta of the day is fettuccine or gluten free. Being home made, only one type of pasta is made daily. We ordered a large creamy bacon with Italian sausage and my friend the small portion of creamy four cheese Being new, I asked if they had a way of providing a small sample of each of the sauces and the waitress said they were already portioned out for large or small sizes. Asked for a sample of the Asian curry and the cook was quite vocal and annoyed about making a sample. It took almost 25 minutes from coming in to getting our food. Mind you, no one else was in the restaurant. Because of the flooding in Nebraska and the city of Lincoln's water reduction mandate. Our meal was provided with the finest in plastic ware and disposable cups. That will change when the water conservation order ends. There was a noticeable size difference between regular and large. I am surprised that they don't have a child's portion. The proteins, chicken and Italian sausage were properly cooked without any significant seasoning. We were surprised that we got a sample of the creamy curry sauce. Given the cooks hissy about making a sample. (Your new, everyone wants a way to try your different sauces, make a sampler plate) As there are more than 19 different types of curry. This one is more of a mild yellow curry. No heat, not too much twang but quite flavorful definitely worth trying The creamy bacon was a bit pasty, at the end there wasn't a single spoonful of sauce to be had. The bacon was subtle and not overpowering. Occasionally there would be a tiny chunk of bacon. The creamy four cheese pasta was a again not saucy, but pasty. The cheeses seemed to be overpowered by Parmesan and a bit salty. There were some very flavorful shavings of cheese. Towards the bottom, the cheese got denser and as the other order not a bit of sauce left. The garlic bread served with the meal. It was quite good but a bit overpowering over the subtle flavors of the pasta. If you only have a half hour lunch, this is not the place for you. If you want fine dining with a glass or two of wine with your meal, this is not for you. This is definitely not a franchise. But a small local business starting up. It takes time to improve the establishment and perfect the choices. Worth giving them a try. I'll be back in a few week

I wasn't interested in the chain restaurants, so this place looked like it was worth a try. I decided to go with the Hunan chicken since I'm trying to cut back on four-legged animals, the veggies are a plus. The chicken was properly velveted and has that nice juicy texture. The wok flavor was definitely there. The order came with a fried rice which is just plain fried rice with a bit of soy sauce and wok flavoring. I was impressed with how authentic the food tasted and was truly glad I stopped by. There was too much food so I took the other half to go. I will definitely stop by again if given the chance. They dont have all drinks on the menu and the menu is not updated. They did tell us what was not available but was a generic dont have these and just slid his fingers on the menu. I finally got an iced lemon tea. We initially ordered egg rolls and a hot pot. We ordered spicy soup together with bok choy fungus( wood ear mushrooms) Beef, spam, fishballs and jumbo shrimp and egg noodles with a side of white rice. The soup came with a burner and it wasnt powerful enough to boil the soup on the pot. The pot had no definite style to it. Tasted like soy bean soup with some sichuan peppers. Not excessively spicy and not very flavourful. Our ingredients took a long while to come out- and our egg rolls eventually never came. Practically all the ingredients were frozen with the exception of the fungi and the egg noodles. The sauce station looks thrown together with takeout containers and plenty of sauce. The bbq sauce had part of a spoon which was broken off in the sauce. The sauces are similar to haidilao type just not as fresh. But the chives looked a little greyish. Overall, service is not fantastic. We did remind them multiple times about the egg rolls, but it still didn't ever arrive. They at least took it off the bill. We forgot to check about the missing bakchoy. Not sure we will be back anytime soon. Hubby wasn't quite happy with our dinner last night.
