The bacon Mac burger was so incredibly disappointing. Dry-not enough sauce- but even the burger was dry. This establishment has really improved in food and service and I credit that to management. I don't know the back story, but they're on the ascent in a tough, competitive restaurant environment. My last order was their Chicken Strips Basket. The strips were thinner cuts than many you get but easily a nice quantity for the cost. They had a great coating and we're cooked to perfection. These are not the usual frozen strips other restaurants toss in the fry oil. These were fresh made and flavorful. I also loved the Crinkle Fries, although they were a bit over salted. Stopped there for a quick lunch after driving through some nasty weather going from Denver to Omaha to catch an alma mater basketball game as UConn was coming into town to play Creighton. Tried a local beer and watched some basketball to kill a little time before we headed into Omaha so we could check in to the hotel before heading to the game. If I ever (not very likely) get back to Lincoln I would definitely give this place another go, just probably not when the Cornhuskers football team was playing. This place has potential and its your typical sports bar. Good portions and its very fairly priced. They have good weekday specials. The food is always good if your hungry for bar food. They also have cheap domestic pitchers. The reason I give three stars is sometimes the kitchen gets backed up and the food can take a while to come out. I know this occurs occasionally but we have experienced this multiple times, even on weekday nights. It can also get pretty loud if they are busy but that is because of the layout of the place. Pre Covid-19 they have bingo and trivia nights which are fun with a group. I would give 5 stars if they could fix the food wait issue.
