Stopped in with a friend to check out this place. It's a good stop to grab a drink with friends. The selection isn't huge, but everything sounded good so I tried a flight. The porter "The Dark Times" was my favorite. I love porters and have a hard time finding one I really like. This one was fantastic! I don't usually like sours but the lemon berry sour was so good. Bar tender was very helpful and friendly. They have lots of games in hand for those who want to play. Would definitely stop in again. read more

Best micro-brew beers out there. Have tasted almost all of them and I've liked each one I've tried. Owner is really nice as well. Great staff and service. read more

There are quite a few breweries in Lincoln now, but not many of them do the classic styles as well as Code. I'm a big fan of their cream ale and red ale, and even the berry lemon sour is quite good! If you want big barrel aged stouts and triple IPAs, maybe go elsewhere but for a solid beer in a comfortable spacious taproom, Code is a great choice! Located in the Telegraph district, but can usually find parking in the lot behind the building. I also like that they are open a little later (11pm) on weekends! read more

We stopped in here on a Friday afternoon. There were plenty of seats available. We tried the DIPA (hazy), Berry Lemon sour, and the Wood Wee (scotch ale). My favorite of those was the Wood Wee... but be aware it's 10.5% ABV! So get a half pour if you don't want to be tanked. Service was great too. We will be back. read more

Good place to grab a beer. We visited on a Saturday afternoon and the space was about half full. Code Beer has the classic industrial feel that many breweries share. The beer acquisition process is efficient and the beer is reasonably priced. They offer three sizes of pours optimal for tasting different beers. I would recommend Code Beer for those interested in patronizing breweries in Lincoln. read more

Awesome, awesome beer! Glad they were open at 2pm on a Wednesday. We only went there because they were the only brewery open at that time and I'm glad we found them! We had a flight of beers and all of them were tasty and unique. We in fact even got a brand new six pack of an IPA they had literally just canned a few hours previous and holy cow is it good and fresh. We got to meet one of the brewers while we were there. Very nice place with great beer. You won't be disappointed if you give them a shot! read more

Way overstoked to come in to Code. I imagine if I had more than 2 beers I could have enjoyed them more, but I found the profiles lacking for my taste. Nothing was exciting or outta this world. Expected to be midrange is fine. I would drink this again if I had to. read more

We were in Lincoln from Denver those weekend. We loved it here! Very friendly and attentive service. Loved that they allow dogs inside- we brought ours in since we didn't want to leave her at the hotel. They were super welcoming of her and us. We tried the IPA and pale ale among others. My favorite was the citra wheat- it was very citrusy and fresh! They had some nice sours and porters available too. Overall a great place-will definitely stop by again when we're in town! read more

The wait is over!! Lincoln's newest - for now - brewery and taproom is open and it does not disappoint. Located on the southeast corner of Antelope Pkwy and N street (direct access via Lincoln's premier dedicated bike lane), Code is your no-nonsense stop for delicious beer. Our bartender was both cheery and knowledgeable, explaining that she is married to one of the brewers and therefore it was especially important to her that we have a good experience. The beers we tried were true to style and well made, hooray! Taps included a cream ale, a red ale that was nicely hopped, a porter, dark wheat and saison. We will see what happens with the menu as the seasons change. The tap room itself is gray, Husker red and black. One of the demolition/reconstruction crew members who helped renovate the building came by to visit while we were there - clearly proud of the work they had put into the building. It shows. read more

Awesome beers & fun atmosphere! Loved the Grapefruit IPA & the ESP! Chill tap room with lots of comfy seating & great music. Service was great! They had huge projector screens showing both NFL and the World Cup games today We come here whenever we are in town. Good for kids and pups! We grabbed some ELMO Hazy IPA to-go on our way out. read more

Great location brewery with friendly bartenders and great atmosphere! All their beers are delicious, but their IPAs and Sours really stand out! They've also done a fantastic job throughout the pandemic with finding ways to innovate and still provide safe take-out with their growler and round fills as well as new "Quarantine Coping" 6 packs. read more

Dog friendly near downtown Lincoln with a nice selection of beers, and food from a food truck as well. Didn't get a chance to try the food but did enjoy the sour beers! They had two which was a plus for me considering if a bar doesn't have a good sour I don't buy any beer. Polite & quick service and they had parking in back. There's games and plenty of seating and tables as well. Will have to come back another time & bring my dog! read more

The beer and atmosphere is kinda 'meh'. Its not bad, it's not particularly great. It's just 'meh'. Oddly a lot of the beers have a very similar flavor profile. As if they are the same with 1 ingredient difference. As I sit here, there are a couple very regulars (even one has his name on the seat) so all the service attention is over there. Understandable I guess. But now even the service is just 'meh'... You won't be wasting your money if you come by, but your feeling in spending it will probably match the place... meh... read more

There are a lot of breweries to choose from in Lincoln. Code excels at brewing basic ales. This is not a bad thing. On the contrary. In an age of brewers rushing to do barrel aging, dry hopping and the like it is refreshing to see excellence in the fundamentals. Code brews some very tasty low gravity beers. Their Dark Mild and English Bitter are exceptional. Additionally the staff is friendly and accommodating. If you're looking for solid beer, Code is a great choice. read more

I wish Lincoln had more places like this! The decor inside is amazing. The employees have been great and very helpful each time we have been there. They have an okay selection of beer. I would give 5 stars if they had a larger selection. My favorite is the Scottish 80. Pre covid-19 they will play UNL sporting events on a projector. Its a good place to go after dinner to have a few drinks. read more

They have a beer for everyone here but they also excel in their hoppy IPA/Pale beers and brown and dark ales. What made the visit here a 5 was the 90's country music that was playing. Awesome! Cheers Code L! read more

Great beer! I started with a flight of 4 beers then settled for the IPA. It was really good. I'll definitely be back.

I went to Code Beer Company for the first time this week. I will definitely be back. I loved the relaxed atmosphere. I loved how they also let dogs inside. I am very picky about what kind of beer I like and I found my new favorite beer there, their Berry Lemon Sour Beer. I will definitely be back. read more

Embarrassing to do cross promotion with. The beer is not great (read further for detail). The employees solicit sex in public and at other businesses. No thanks. My review was deleted recently for not having more information about the business. Here's another edit with extension of my conclusion of Code Beer Company: the beer is lacking in flavor/variety/options. For someone such as myself who loves many varieties of beer-there isn't an ale I haven't tried. To come here and be completely disappointed, wasted my time. No hard feelings. This is just what happened and I feel terrible that it couldn't be reconciled. My experience and review may not be the same others. read more

I can't get enough of this place. Their beer is better than many of the famed Colorado breweries. Consistent and refreshing. I recommend the Pale Ale or Porter but you can't go wrong with any of them. Each new beer they roll out becomes my new favorite. Matt brews incredible beer and Michelle is always on top the service. If you haven't tried it....you're missing out. read more

Great staff, delicious beer, and fun atmosphere! I stopped in with my wife and kids in tow. Service was friendly and prompt. The brewer even stopped by our table to talk about his craft and the staff made my children feel welcome by pointing out family-friendly games located in the taproom. This will definitely be my go to brewery when visiting Lincoln. read more

Best brewery in town. Clean and crisp with employees and brewmaster that interact well with customers.

Not one of my favorite breweries in Lincoln. But, that is really only because I'm not a huge fan of their beers. And they don't have alot of options. Also, as far as food is concerned, they only have pretzels. That being said, I like the look of the building and decor is super cool. They also have some board games to play with. read more

Top notch. I just relocated from Denver and have been to quite a few breweries in CO. Code Beer Company out ranks many of the Colorado breweries. They have solid beers in the typical styles while still having enough variety to keep things exciting. Plus they are right of of the bike lane on N Street. Definitely worth a trip! read more

Code has become a frequent stop because of the amazing atmosphere. Every bartender takes the time to chat with me and every other customer, even on a busy night. Love Code Beer! They consistently put out some of the best beer in the Midwest! They often host a good cart called roaming tacos, that offer some of the best fusion tacos I have ever tried.
