The answer is one word: Fear. What a dentist (and a dental hygenist do) is mostly the same, no matter where you go. The only things that make a difference have little to do with the procedures. That being said, Dr Zargari and his staff really get it. From the moment I walked in, they were professional, compassionate and engaged in making sure my visit was as pleasant as possible. They have made a conscious choice to no over book, which means you don't sit in the waiting room with your anxiety getting the best of you. Their treatment rooms all have large windows with pleasant views of a tropical courtyard. I waited much too long to catch up on my dental work, and they never lectured, or made me feel bad about neglecting my dental health. If you are like me, and you've not been, I would highly suggest you stop by and chat - no pressure, just try them out. You will be much happier that you did!

Once I arrived, the dentist said he would just polish off the broken part and do it for free. But when I checked out, they tried to charge me $66 for a "two-tooth polish and exam." Dr. Martinez was very patient and thorough with my complicated case. The main thing that I loved was that he would not allow me to leave with crowns that did not meet his aesthetic standards. I have never written a review this negative before--it takes a lot to get me this frustrated--but the treatment and billing here forced me to speak out. Years ago, I actually worked on the design of a computerized billing system for Delta Dental services, so I am highly familiar with dental insurance fee coding. After this visit, I thoroughly researched local standard charges. I know for a fact that the $700 total fee I was hit with was completely inappropriate. Specifically, I was charged a bit less than $300 consultation fee that makes absolutely no sense because no separate consultation ever took place. There was no evaluative discussion; the actual dental work was started immediately. Charging a steep consultation fee alongside immediate treatment is a blatant, improper overcharge. We do not have dental insurance. As retirees living on a fixed income (outside of my husband's part-time job), a $700 inflation of a bill deeply impacts us. The rest of the charge, a bit less than $400, for the actual work, was ridiculously high, but apparently standard. To make matters worse, Dr. Martinez's bedside manner was completely nonexistent, making the entire appointment highly uncomfortable. Between the complete lack of care and the deceptive billing, I cannot recommend this practice. I will definitely let my regular dentist know about this experience so they might hesitate sending patients here. The other reviews are glowing, so I am in the minority. Maybe many have dental insurance so the ite is not as painful. I cannot imagine how those with a lower income can afford this type of dental care without insurance.

I decided to chuck my dental insurance and go to a dentist I found rather than one they told me to see. First I actually went in person to see the facility and get their pricing. The receptionist, Haydee, was SO nice. She even tried to call my dental insurance for me (they never answered) and offered to watch my son during my dental appointment if I couldn't get a sitter. My actual appointment was great. The entire thing, exam and cleaning, took about 45 minutes. There was no talk of needing an appointment for an exam and a different one for a cleaning like the two other places I'd been. I had my X-rays sent over from a previous dentist so I didn't need those again. Dr. Vito did his exam first and Cindy did my cleaning.
