They misplaced my paperwork and when I called to check in about said paperwork they put me on hold for almost half an hour and I had to call back for them to tell me it was found & the dentist will sign it today. **Terrible Experience at Serene Dental Group** I had a frustrating experience with Serene Dental Group that I feel compelled to share. We made an appointment for my husband to take advantage of their new patient special for $59, scheduled for 9:30 AM. However, they called us that morning to cancel and reschedule due to overbooking, which was already an inconvenience. After rescheduling for the afternoon, my husband went in for his appointment. They conducted an X-ray and a brief consultation with the doctor, but to our surprise, they didn't perform the cleaning that was supposed to be included in the special. Instead, they tried to upsell him on a deeper cleaning, citing that he hadn't visited the dentist in a while. He felt pressured and refused all the additional services. When I called to inquire about the situation, I was informed that the special is only for individuals with healthy teeth and gums. This crucial detail was nowhere on their website, leading us to believe the special was misleading. It seems like their main goal is to lure you in and then upsell their services. I would strongly advise against taking advantage of their promotions, as it feels like a tactic to get you in the door just to extract more money. I debated for years if I should write this review. I don't like leaving negative reviews on small businesses, but what you did to me is inexcusable. In 2018 I came in for a routine exam and told the doctor about my tooth sensitivity. I pointed to a general area and a tooth that was effected by heat/cold and sweet sensations. You did an X-ray and said the tooth was bad. I followed your recommendations and had the tooth removed in September - October that year. I went back to you in 2019 with the same issue. You couldn't give me a reason why I not only still had the pain, but now had it in other spots of my mouth. YOU PULLED A PERFECTLY HEALTHY TOOTH WHEN THE ISSUE WAS MISDIAGNOSED GUM SENSITIVITY! Your neglect practice cost me a healthy tooth, extra surgery I didn't need and constant pain where a screw is where a healthy tooth should be!! You did a similar misdiagnosis on my mother and forced her to pull a tooth that could have been guided with a root canal. I guess you just have a fetish for pulling teeth and not fixing the real issues Unless you want to go through extra pain and have teeth pulled for no reason, AVOUD THIS PRACTICE AT ALL COSTS! read more

This place is horrible waiting an hour and 20 mins just to be placed in a room and told they don't know how much longer it's going to take. No x-rays done yet and haven't even seen the dentist. I called your office too reschedule an appointment last minute cause I wouldn't be able too make it in due too an unfortunate circumstance I had too attend this morning. When I called too reschedule the lady on the phone immediately tells me I'm not allowed to reschedule and tells me I'm getting a 50 dollar cancellation fee charge. Even when I told her why I was cancelling. It was also 40 minutes before my appointment that I called too reschedule as well, still shouldn't have been told that I can't reschedule my appointment. I'm a regular customer and I always come here for my cleanings regularly, but because of this situation I will no longer be coming here because of the experience I had with the lady on the phone. Bait and Switch practices in this office. Serene Dental has deceptive pricing practices and change their prices on you whenever they please. Dr. Badaro has left their practice too and I couldn't blame her. I was charged above my insurance rates for my first visit but I let it go and against my better judgement gave them a second chance. The printout didn't match my insurance fee schedule that I was suppose to pay so they adjusted the items that my insurance covered to be lower so they matched and simply raised the other non-listed items from the first print out. So in the end they still charged me the same high prices. I should have ran but figured they have decent reviews for Dr. Badaro and gave them a 2nd chance. I was told I would have to wait 3+ weeks for an appointment with Dr. Badaro or can be quicker with new doc. I waited the 3 weeks for Dr. Badaro since she had good reviews. Showed up in the morning, asked to be told what I would need to pay out of pocket for the tooth extraction when I signed in because I had a bad feeling about my first visit. After being in the chair, I was told the doctor would be in shortly and the assistance mentioned "He". Dr. Badaro is a she, so I questioned it. Was told Dr. Badaro left, well thank you for letting me know when you called to confirm. After another 10 minutes of waiting in the chair for the "codes to be put in the system", they finally got my price for the extraction. It would be $570 for the procedure now and they don't even have the doctor scheduled, real professional. I have a printout from them that it was for $410 from my first visit on 05/16/19. I found this dentist office through my insurance provider. Located in a nice plaza with plenty of parking. Came in for my first appointment and had to fill out about three sheets of paperwork. They called me in exactly at my appointment time which was 9 AM. Dr. Patel was thorough and super friendly. Probably one of the most communicative and sweetest dentist I've ever been to. She explained the importance of flossing and every step on how to take care of my teeth. Very rarely do you encounter a friendly and thorough dentist. Most of them are in and out without talking to the patient. Dr. Patel, thanks for making the difference! Will definitely be keeping this office as my dentist. read more

I have been looking for a dentist in the area and was recommended by my mom to go to Serene Dental center. They were able to squeeze me in the same day for my tooth emergency. Every person I interacted with there were absolutely sweet and kind. As I was waiting for the doctor in the room, one of the assistants brought me a magazine to pass the time ( much better then just staring at a wall, so I really appreciated it). The dental assistant also gave me a few tricks for gag reflex when they had to take the x rays. Wish I would've know these tricks many years ago! Doctor Fajardo was extremely kind and very helpful when explaining the situation that was going on with my teeth. What a great experience. New to the area and made appointment for a nervous 11 year old who had a previous poor experience at a dentist. From making the appointment to answering many questions and reassuring me that the experience would be pleasant- this is a top staff! I arrived early and was taken right away. I was called back while the dentist checked my daughter's teeth. They made her ( and me) very comfortable. I returned to the front desk to make additional appointments for my whole family. Do not fall for their cheap payment trap! For new patients, there's a special of $36. If you need cleaning, will be $85 in total. It sounds like heaven, right? You will automatically think, this is amazing, no other dental office is this cheap. Plus, their staff will do sweet talk. It seems like a perfect place. I went there looking at their online review and hearing about the price. They will do 1 X-ray soon as you enter and immediately will bring their $169 house plan! It's just their catch! They will start convincing you, you need additional X-rays, which will be $50 or $60 and more. Slowly, slowly, they will start adding more charging. Even then, you will think, it looks better with the house plan but they will start adding more money. Do not fall for their $36 new patient special or $169 house plan! They are basically doing marketing. Their machines are old. For me, they went up to $300 for each visit even with the plan and that is just for cleaning. They do not even have any installment plan. I asked them if there was way to just do simple clean with $86 for now and I come back later and decide about the plan. They said, it is not legal for them. Whether you take the plan or pay more. Had two appointments for same day, first for a cleaning second for a cavity fill. Was rear end in traffic and missed 9am appointment called at 9:30 and stated what happened and would be there for 10am scheduled appointment for cavity fill. Arrived 9:50 filled out paper work and was taken back. So far impressed with services. Get X-ray see doctor and then told fees which were not an issue. Problem is they won't do the work and want to reschedule fill. When asked why was not given answer outside it was your responsibility to be here on time! My responsibility? I was on time for this appointment and did not ask for any other service? Sorry I can't control other people. At this time a hygienist came out acting tough telling me to leave (lol no problem) this guy cracked me up don't know what he was trying to prove but said he was a real nigga. I love Serene Dental! They are always accommodating and quick to help me get in. The front office staff is very nice over the phone and in person! Makes going to the dentist much easier. Also, Dr. Jain is amazing! She is gentle and compassionate. Her medical assistants always take the time to explain things and when I have been in pain or having just a rough day, they have listened and been comforting. My grandpa and uncle are both dentists and I have worked in dental offices and I know that this office has so many wonderful things going for them.
