They know exactly how to put children at ease -- whether it's my teenager, my middle-schooler, or my little one who can be nervous at new places. The office is spotless, beautifully maintained, and modern. Everything feels fresh and inviting, which makes visits stress-free for both kids and parents. What I appreciate most is how much the entire team truly cares. They don't just treat teeth -- they treat kids with kindness and compassion. Whether it's a routine check-up or an unexpected dental issue, they go above and beyond to be there when you need them. You can tell their top priority is the health and comfort of their patients. After years visiting with all three of my kids, I can confidently say Alafaya Pediatric Dentistry sets the bar for professionalism and genuine care. I can't recommend them highly enough to any parent looking for a dentist who really treats your children like family.

She gets to watch TV while having her teeth worked on. They have TVs on the ceiling with cartoons. Also, staff are very patient and endearing with kiddos, or at least with my baby girl! Dr. Pinnok always answers all of my questions and has even encouraged my daughter to continue answering in Spanish since she is trying to learn the language. I am so thankful this place is so close to home. I for-see continuing my daughter's care here for a long time. Finally, she always gets a tiny prize toward the end of her visit and visits are on time and fast.

The dental assistant was very patient and friendly with my son especially when he was having anxiety while wearing the laughing gas mask. She nicely explained to him what he needed to do to be safe and get through his procedure. The dentist came in and saw that my son was still a little nervous and she explained to him what she was going to do and helped him relax. The dentist performed the extraction in a timely manner and after everything was done she even offered him a popsicle. It wasn't a long process and everyone involved was courteous and professional. I liked how they worked with my son to get over his fears and provided everything we needed for a speedy recovery.

They do have a open room with 4 chairs. Me personally, I don't like the open concept for sound and privacy reasons. The sounds of kids crying, the tools cleaning, the cartoons, the front desk conversations, I personally find it overwhelming. But the office is clean and the staff is nice. They take our insurance. They are upfront about costs and pricing.

My husband visited this office first and was so pleased with the staff and service that he encouraged me to give it a try. I am so thankful I did! I have been to the office multiple times for various treatments, and each time, they have been gentle, explained the necessary work thoroughly, and never pressured me into procedures I couldn't afford or didn't need immediately. I have recommended this office to friends, and for the first time in over twenty years, I am no longer as scared to go to the dentist.

This is at the Orlando, FL location near UCF with Dr Nguyen Nguyen My college age son missed his semi-annual cleaning at home, so I thought I did my research by finding a good dentist near UCF (who was rated well with our dental insurance no less), where he could just get his teeth cleaned and keep up to date, until his next visit with his usual dentist back home. I was informed in advance that as a new patient they would be taking full x-rays. WELL, my son called me immediately after the appointment, to tell me he was all done and checking out, and scheduling to get SEVEN cavities filled. What, Wait, Rewind!?!?! I told him to stop right there, do not schedule anything, and have those new x-rays emailed to us. So fast forward, his dentist at home squeezed him in when he was able to get home for an evaluation and review of the x- rays they took. His current dentist (who he has seen since his first tooth) had to take new x-rays because the ones provided by Magnolia were sub-par. And as I expected, he did not have even ONE cavity, and his dentist said he teeth looked exactly as his last appointment approximately 9 months ago. And fortunately, not only was his dentist was just happy to report that he had a clean bill of health, but he sent my son on his way without charging him a dime. I really couldn't believe it when my son said SEVEN cavities. That is insane! After I finish writing this review, I will be contacting my insurance company to let them know of the sub-standard service offered at this location by this dentist, and how I really feel like they are taking advantage of patients who are gullible and essentially scam them. To leave on a good note, my son did feel like the dental hygienist did a good job cleaning his teeth.

I have had my cleaning scheduled for 6 months, which is typically fully covered as prophylactic. I just happened to see something on Facebook that they no longer are in network for Delta Dental - so I called to check how much my responsibility would be! Not only was I never notified by the office that I would now be out of network - but they ignored my request for information for 6 weeks. When I called back two days before my cleaning - turns out my "free" cleaning will now be around $300. So no - I will find an in network dentist - but thanks for delaying my cleaning probably ~3 months it will take to get in someplace new.

I've never felt upsold to services that were unnecessary or felt pressured to do something. We've had several dental implants, extractions, and other procedures. They recommended an extensive list of procedures, despite the fact that I've maintained regular dental visits and cleanings. Unfortunately, my longtime dentist of many years had just retired, so I was seeking a new provider at the time. Now... this happened: On the morning of Friday, 10/10, around 10 AM, I received a text and voicemail reminding me of an appointment scheduled for Monday, 10/13 at 8 AM. Apparently, this appointment was set six months ago during my initial visit. I had no recollection of it, and there had been no prior reminders until just then. Unfortunately, due to the extremely short notice, I was unable to attend. I called and left a voicemail to explain. Then, at 6:29 AM on Monday morning, I received a text stating that a $50 fee applies to missed, rescheduled, or canceled appointments with less than 48 business hours' notice. Here's the problem: Their reminder was sent less than 24 business hours before the appointment--and to make matters worse, the office is closed on Fridays, giving me even less of an opportunity to respond during business hours. How is it fair to penalize patients for late cancellations when the reminder system is so flawed? I find it unacceptable to be charged for a missed appointment under these circumstances. Patients deserve timely reminders and fair notice, especially when fees are involved. Oh, but they were very QUICK to send me a bill via Email! I wish I could give ZERO Stars
