I told her that my kids were there for their appointment and she glared at me and rudely told me that she has no kids coming in and I'm in the wrong spot. I understand I made a mistake but, she is not a nice woman. When I came to the correct spot next door, I told them what happened and why I was a few minutes late. Another mother in the lobby made the same mistake and agreed that the receptionist was just a rude lady. I have other words I'd rather use but, I have class.

The Windermere Center for Dentistry is a clean, welcoming office that's about a 20-minute drive for me--super convenient and right near downtown Windermere. The waiting area is simple and standard (no spa-like frills, but honestly, I'm not here for the magazines). The staff at the front desk are friendly and efficient, which makes the check-in process smooth every time. Where this office really shines is the dental team itself. Everyone I've worked with has been professional, kind, and genuinely good at what they do. Cleanings are thorough but not uncomfortable, and they recently upgraded their chairs to include pillows--which is a surprisingly nice touch of comfort when you're reclined for a while. Dr. Rapport is excellent. She's knowledgeable, attentive, and you can tell she cares about her patients' dental health. Sometimes it's a little tough to catch everything she says through the mask, but that's part of the times we're in. What matters is that she explains clearly, makes sure you're taken care of, and most importantly--she keeps me on track with my oral health. At the end of the day, it's a team effort: I do my part at home, and they keep me polished and on track here. Instead forcing me to physically go to the pharmacy multiple times as a hardship to my disability.

I decided to chuck my dental insurance and go to a dentist I found rather than one they told me to see. First I actually went in person to see the facility and get their pricing. The receptionist, Haydee, was SO nice. She even tried to call my dental insurance for me (they never answered) and offered to watch my son during my dental appointment if I couldn't get a sitter. My actual appointment was great. The entire thing, exam and cleaning, took about 45 minutes. There was no talk of needing an appointment for an exam and a different one for a cleaning like the two other places I'd been. I had my X-rays sent over from a previous dentist so I didn't need those again. Dr. Vito did his exam first and Cindy did my cleaning. The cleaning was gentle and she got the coffee stain off my front teeth. I didn't get pressured whatsoever to buy more services and feel I can trust Dr. Vito's advice in the future.

Then when we started the cleaning, she took the water pic and aggressively began working. She did say, raise your hand if you have any discomfort which I did multiple times. This did not cause her to stop or change her technique at all. I ended up stopping her and getting up and leaving my Cleaning within three minutes. I get my teeth cleaned every six months since as long as I can remember so I've had almost 90 cleanings and I've never had to walk out of a cleaning before due to discomfort An office manager was supposed to contact me and nobody ever did. I think if a patient leaves your practice in tears a manager should get in touch with them ASAP. So that part is very disappointing as well.

And now I have to wait til an appt in 2026 to have an actual dentist examine my teeth. I was never told that no dentist would be present during my appt. If my bridge would have come off during the cleaning as has happened in the past there would have been mo dentist present to help me. And the whole point of going is to get the cleaning AND the check-up. Never again.
