I had a wonderful experience at Dr Phillip's Dentistry. My hygienist, Anahi, was pleasant and gave me clear and helpful information and kept me well informed about what we were doing, etc. She is best knowledgeable and was also kind and gracious in how she explained everything. She didn't make me feel bad, but instead made me feel comfortable. She also did a great job cleaning my teeth! The dentist was warm and friendly and made sure all my questions were answered. I would highly recommend coming here. I'm not one who loves to go to the dentist, but I won't mind going back here bc they made it easy and inviting. Dr. Phillips Dentistry is amazing. Dr. Tarver makes you feel like you are meeting a friend. He is skilled and very professional. He was very attentive to my plight making sure all my questions were adhered to. The staff is remarkable. Madison did an outstanding job on my temporary insert. I recently moved to Orlando so I was looking for a dentist in my area. I got a flyer in the mail from this dentistry office so I decided to look on Yelp for reviews. The reviews were good therefore I went ahead and scheduled my cleaning. I went online and completed the new patient forms in order to save time at the office. The office is nicely located. My cleaning went well, the hygienist was really good explaining everything she was going to do. I felt at ease. The dentist came in after my cleaning and was nice too. Overall my visit went well. Hopefully I have found my new dentist. read more

Both of the crowns they put on last year came off. Also the teeth were ground down so far that the crowns can't be glue back in place. They want to charge me just to look at them! Don't go there or you will regret it! read more

DR. NASH IS A USED CAR MECHANIC!! I had a new crown put on by Dr. Nash back in August of 2019 and it cracked/chipped in 8 months and dr. Nash smoothed it down on 5/5/20 and in the evening I was in pain after the anesthesia effect disappeared and I asked to see Dr. Nash to find out why should that be happening but I was told to go see an Endodontist instead. It is really sad that he did the work and now he has refused to even check to see what can be done or what he might have done wrong to the tooth. I had a similar situation few years back when the crown did not fit properly on another tooth and I was in similar pain when I ate anything on that side and I was asked to get a root canal and of course Endodontist would never refuse to do a root canal when it's not even needed and of course I did not need one because I knew it had nothing to do with it and I insisted on just changing the crown and 8 years later today, I have not had any issues on that tooth and thank God I did not fall for having to go through a root canal when I did not need it. I am experiencing the same exact pain with this tooth, after Dr. Nash smoothed the broken part of the crown, he may have gone a bit too deep into it and damaged something and it feels as if there is a tiny hole on the crown which is exposing the tooth underneath and causing the pain when I eat anything on that side, otherwise there is no pain there at all. It could be possible that Dr. Nash knows that he has done some damage to my tooth and is not willing to take any responsibility. I had my Endodontist friend looked at the tooth and said He would not recommend the root canal because that's the easy answer. It seems this is due to crown failure and Recommended me to ask Dr. Nash to remove this crown and put on a temporary crown to see if that resolves the issue but Dr. Nash is not willing to even do an X-ray or do a check up to see what's needed unless I go get a report from the Endodontist. I know I don't need a root canal since there did not seem to be any such issues prior to him trying to fix the chipped crown. All I have asked is to remove the crown and put on a temporary one which I know could be an easy fix but he refuses to do any work and also is not willing to refund what I have paid for the crown back in August of 2019 so I could have another dentist remove this faulty crown Dr. Nash put on and have it replaced with a better quality crown. Until this time, I thought highly of him and considered him a great dentist but after this experience of giving me the run around for 9 days and refusing to even look at the tooth is beyond disappointing and I would hate to call my Credit card company to dispute the charge but Dr. Nash and his staff have not left me with any other choice because I should not have to pay twice for a crown that should last for many years not break apart in 8 months! The crown is clearly made of low quality but I paid what he asked for, therefore shall I not have the right to get 100% of the refund if he is not willing to fix the problem ?? read more

There's a reason this place has poor reviews. After switching my entire family here after my original dentist went out of network. After seeing the hygienist she proceeded to diagnose me as needing a deep cleaning and tell me it would be 168$ not covered by insurance. I told her I would prefer to have a regular Cleaning that's completely covered by insurance and I would also like to talk to the dentist who had not even come in to look at my teeth or X-rays . She proceeds to tell me she is a dentist in Colombia ! Ok...... lol so Dr Tarver comes in and looks at X-rays and say he won't do a regular cleaning only a deep cleaning.I'm a regular twice a day brusher and flosser, he proceeds to try to push a deep cleaning on me. I was only one month past my due date for my 6 month cleaning, i don't believe suddenly my teeth go from 3'sto 5's. So I decided me and my family don't need to be bullied, so this place can make more money and continue to fill their greedy pockets. I'm also filing a complaint with the licensing board and insurance fraud department. read more

Best dentist I had in Orlando. Dr. Nash takes the time to explain the purpose of various tools he is using to examine my teeth as well as fixing it. He is honest and dont make you fix cavities unless they really need it. All the hygienist there are very gentle with your teeth so I never feel sore after a cleaning. Nope nope nope. First of all, the inside of the office looks like a tourist gift shop on 192 with all the tacky knick knacks everywhere. The X-Ray equipment looked like an antique. The hygienist was polite but I wouldn't say friendly and I was really put-off by how she "taught" me how to brush my teeth like I'm a child when every other dentist I've been to has said I clearly do an excellent job taking care of my teeth. My biggest problem though was when they tried to push the "deep cleaning" on me. Claiming my gums have severe recession in the back when 6 months ago I had them checked and was told they're all fine, as they had been always. But the dentist had the fee schedule for this nonsense in his pocket ready to go. Don't fall for it! Go somewhere else! read more

My husband went in because he's had an abscess tooth that has been bothering him. He can't eat or sleep because of the pain. They said he needs 3 root canals and one is infected. They gave him 2 Ibuprofen 800 pills for his pain, ridiculous. I feel bad that he had to be the guinea pig of the family and go there first but I'm thankful because now I know to choose another dentist office for myself and the other members of our family. I will not see a dentist if they won't even help with pain. Comfort is my #1 priority when seeing a Dentist and you definitely won't find that with this office. read more

Best I've seen so far. 5 days ago was my 4th visit there and I'm still happy. Great service. Greeted at the door. Got right in on time. Painless. And he's a Gator filled with stories that leak out constantly during the visit. Makes me feel comfortable. I've been to many dentists for over 50 years and have had all different experiences. Plus I'm a local internal medicine doctor and hear all the colorful stories about all dentists and doctors. I know the current standards for medical treatment and Dr Nash meets them. I am not a doctor. my screen name is based on a character from the movie idiocracy. To be fair to Dr. Nash, I have read his reviews online and he has more good reviews than bad. I was a patient of Dr. Nash's for more than two years. He has a nice office and a professional staff. I start to look for a different dentist when my bad experiences outweigh my good ones. Unfortunately this is exactly what happened with Dr. Nash. He has done three crowns for me. One of them went very well and I am quite happy with it. The second was satisfactory but something went wrong with the shaping and placement of the permanent. I now have a gap that constantly catches food. I understand that sometimes things go wrong in dentistry and that no dentist is perfect. My third crown was one such case. It became infected after the temporary was placed. It was still very painful when Dr. Nash put the permanent on. In hind sight, I should never have allowed this to happen. I should have insisted on waiting till the infection was completly gone before the permanant was placed. Perhaps Dr. Nash should have suggested this as well... It flared up again a year later and had to have a root canal done by an endodontist through the crown. Less than a year after that it began to bother me again. By this time I had reached that tipping point we talked about earlier. I gave Dr. Nash one more shot at it to be fair. He said that the problem was with my bite. That was it. I went to see a better dentist who removed the crown and showed me that it had been leaking for an undetermined amount of time and may have been leaking from the beginning. This made me wonder if all of my problems with this crown could be traced back to the permanent being placed while the tooth was still infected. I will never know. I have dental insurance which helped cover some of my expenses with the repair of this crown. However I stll ended up spending more than a thousand dollars of my own money to get this straightened out. If you are searching for a dentist, do yourself a favor and read as many reviews as you can find. Put them all together and form your own opinion. read more

After moving from another part of the Orlando metro area and my last dentist retiring, I chose Dr. Nash because of, among other things, his dentistry teaching experience. I have had decent experiences here (who likes dental work, anyway?), have found Dr. Nash forthcoming, and love his technician Shelly. I distinctly remember a situation where I was referred to a surgeon for dental implants (which I couldn't afford) and, though implants may well have been the best alternative, Dr. Nash offered another solution. I am happy this office offers Care Credit so we can pay for large dental bills over time. read more

I've been a patient here for years, and even after I moved out of the neighborhood, I still make a 45-minute drive out for my appointments and have done so for nearly a decade. Why? Because I've had really bad dentists, and I've had really good dentists, and I think Dr. Nash is a great dentist. He's corrected poor work by my previous dentists, provided extensive preventive care, and continues to make sure I'm doing everything I can to keep my teeth in shape. I'm giving this place a four because honestly I really don't understand some of the bad comments here. I've gone to Dr. Nash about three or four times total, and out of all the dentists I've had in my 30 years of life, this guy has been the most efficient and fastest of any dentist I've ever had. I keep going back to him because he is so good at what he does. Sure, he can be a little kooky and zany at times, but personally that doesn't bother me and when choosing qualities that I would like to find in my dentist, I value skill above all else.... Also I would like to spend as little time as possible in the chair, and this place makes it seem so fast... I mean seriously I've had haircuts that have lasted longer....and I went in for a crown! At any rate, this place makes the dental work I need seem a little less daunting, and because of that, it's one less thing I worry about now. read more

Oh my God. Sooooo RUDE! I will never go back again. This morning, I visited this place and the staff looked and acted like cheap trailer trash. I could tell when I walked in that they had an attitude. The front desk staff were not smiling and we're not friendly. When my name was called, I went back to my Hygienist who was a total SHE-BITCH. She told me I was late, wagged her finger in my face and told me never to do it again. I quickly requested the goofy nerdy dentist and reported her. Turns out, he's a wet noodle who would probably do ANYTHING for a boob shot. The complaint totally fell on deaf ears. I just walked out @ that point. STAY AWAY from this place. I was a patient to Dr. Nash for two years needing just routine cleaning and check ups without incidence. When my 80 year old mother needed a new dentist I made an appointment to get her a cleaning and check up. After being called the morning of the appointment and asked if she could come in two hours earlier because Mr. Nash had an emergency, we arrived at the new time, filled out new patient paperwork and were asked to come in to begin the check up. I was told that I could not accompany my mother to the treatment area as it was "policy". I explained that my mother had memory issues and also needed walking assistance and that I needed to be present so I could know what was going on and be her memory and insure she did not fall. I was summarily dismissed and without further explanation was told that I could not accompany her because of policy. The policy was not explained and was absolute. I insisted to be with her and was again told, no! I said that I was not comfortable with leaving my mother alone and said that we would leave to find another reasonable dentist. I also informed them that that I would no longer be a patient given this absurd policy. If a son cannot accompany his elderly mother to aid her walking and memory with this dentist, I do not want to have a business relationship with such an unreasonable and stubborn dentist. This incidence along with Dr. Nash's constant mentioning that he taught at a dental school during every appointment and with virtually every patient, begs major self esteem issues. I want a dentist who does not have to incessantly remind everyone who will listen of his teaching experience and who will allow an elderly and frail patient to be accompanied by her son during the exam. read more
