While filling out "new patient" paperwork I noticed a document that states the office WILL CHARGE a $50.00 fee for every 30 minutes a patient is late for an appointment! I was 15 minutes EARLY. After sitting in the office 30 minutes PAST (no explanation given by the staff) my scheduled appointment time, I decided it was time to leave. Let me get this straight! If I'M late YOU charge ME for every 30 minutes BUT the dentist can be late WITHOUT EXPLANATION or cost? The receptionist handled the situation kindly. Not HER fault! I left only to return a few minutes later to collect the documents I was required to fill out and sign. Just before leaving, an EXCEPTIONALLY RUDE employee stated "I was just coming to get you!" Sure you were!! My point is life happens. Charging a patient $50 per every 30 minutes late is acceptable? Patients wait 30+ minutes with NO explanation? Sorry. Double Standards don't work in my humble opinion. There's too many other places to choose from that will RESPECT and APPRECIATE their patients. Arrogance and incompetence at its best! read more

DO NOT GO HERE. WAIST OF TIME. They waited till 3 hours before my appointment to tell me I was out of network. I called off work for this appointment. Then they claimed they "left me a voicemail". What actually happened is they called me, I answered, and for 10 minutes I sat there trying to get their attention while hearing them discussing about the new Love Is Blind season in the background, instead of actually talking to me.... like.. YOU called ME. Also they sent me 3 text messages confirming my appointment and called me once to confirm. How are you gonna confirm an appointment if you don't even know if the insurance is active???? Y'all working backwards??? I work for a primary care doctor verifying insurances so I know damn well they just pressed the voicemail option and wrote down that they left one when in fact they did not. Went to Inverness location and it was all about the upcharges. I went in for a cleaning an appointment I had for six months only to be told if I don't have panoramic x-rays done, a bone loss assessment and periodontal assessment they won't do a cleaning. It took me a few minutes to understand that she was serious. No cleaning. Took time off from work for the appointment. Was a waste of time. I'd recommend anyone in the area stay clear of this place!! This place has NO manners!! I didn't even go to the office yet, but when they attempted to contact me to confirm the appointment, I got this long, rude text message threatening to cancel my appointment if I didn't contact them in three hours. Of course they waited until Friday and I have a 9-5 shift! Appointment Monday! I was very on the offense at that point. They also said it was their second attempt to contact me like it was some sort of collection agent. I told them to cancel my appointment because they sounded so rude. Who wants to work with a rude office for something so stressful to begin with? They need to work on getting a nicer staff.. and perhaps be like most other medical offices and get the insurance when we come in the 15 minutes early for paperwork. He immediately got the teeth removed that were causing pain and is now in the process of full dentures. This office is very time efficient with their services. Be very careful and ask for copy of the estimate. Decide to get a second opinion and will never go back to a dentist who recommends unnecessary work. The 14 thousand dollar quote we got was done at another local dentist for less than half!! Always ask for a estimate and get a second opinion!! Today was my first appointment with Smile Design Dentistry and as soon as I walked in I saw the young lady at the reception with the nose out of her mask. Please note that at the entrance door there is a note where they require all their customers to wear a mask for the safeness of their employees and of the other customers! My appointment was for a cleaning. To make a long story short: I left after 1 hour without cleaning done because they informed me that the first appointment is to check on your teeth status. I had problems with this dentist Daniel Koren since the beginning. He rolls me what he was going to do for my teeth And my husband's teeth. I paid the $9800 and made my next visit. This dentist Office is a big rip off. They were supposed do do root canal on 3 teeth because of grinding my teeth, I had a lot of pain. He started to do them which I already paid for and then he could not do them the teeth are too small. He then builds my teeth up which was too high and he had to grind them back down. He then charged me more money for that which did nothing but make my teeth worse. I asked for my money back for the root canals and Invisalign and he after 3 weeks of fighting with the office about it they gave me back the money for the root canals but they deducted the money for the teeth build up which broke off and my teeth hurt worse. On my husbands teeth he was supposed to remove 8 teeth and give him a temporary bridge and then smooth out the bone and cut the gums to smooth it out. He never did the procedure and refused to husband money back. So now my husband can't wear his temporary bridge and he finally after weeks of asking gave me back the money for the permanent bridge. My husband can not wear the bridge because of too much pain. So they ripped us off $144 for my husbands teeth and he still can't wear the bridge he made him. They also ripped me off $ 312 he charged for tooth buildup that broke right off when he was done. This is one of the worst experiences with a dentist. The dentist does not even do about 95% of the work he has dental assistants do it. The lady that does the billing is very rude. Do not go to this dentist. Not only does he not do your teeth correct but he off for $456. WHAT A RIP OFF AND DOES NOT EVEN CARE. THEY NEVER DID THE PROCEDURE ON MY HUSBAND AND WON'T GIVE BACK THE MONEY. no regard for my money. sold me a mouth rinse at the office for $30. i went because i had a minimum insurance with my medicare advantage plan so they knew i had part d rx insurance. i was also quoted $4200 for 3 crowns at my wifes behest i got a second opinion and saved $1200. further the second dentist gave me a prescription for the same dental rinse they had charged me $30 for and it zero co-pay at walgreens using my insurance. read more

this smile design dentistry on sand lake road under dr koren caused excessive damage to my teeth and it took time to realize that not only did dr koren take a lot of money for unneccessary crowns but those crowns caused damage to other teeth and the whole purpose was to make more money for smile design dentistry and dr koren whom used young people inexperienced to do the job the dentist should do. the problem with this dentist and other dentists is they want to sell you a crown on a tooth that really is very questionable to hold a crown and this is not a new experience for me . this is the bad half of the dental industry where a dentist will take your money and care less how much damage is done to your other teeth. dr koren of smile design dentistry half joked by saying i will sell you crowns for all your teeth and he tries to blame the problems on grinding your teeth when you sleep. what you need to do is get examined to see what dr koren has done to your mouth to find out what new problems he created. the things i most recently discovered was the original crown he sld me was on a tooth that was unable to hold a crown. also this took time to find out that the 3 additional crowns sold to me were not fitted properly and the bite put 2 holes in my gold crown at the bottom right of my mouth. my new dentist dr song did not tell me about that at the time of my exam. he didnt want to give me too much bad news about what my previous dentists did to me. smile design is an office with a lot of rooms in a busy shopping center and this is usually the worst situation to see a doctor or dentist. the proble with smile design dr koren is i could have lived with out the crown since the tooth would never hold the crown . this same tooth at the top right prior to ever seeing smile design had the same problem where the crown fell off. the dentist prior to smile design was the same situation where the crown fell off my top right tooth and this dentist was not helpful after taking my money and i reported him and he vanished. so when i met smile design it was because the crown fell off that same tooth and at the time i met smile design on sand lake road close to the publix dr koren should say this tooth can barely hold a crown but dr korn of smile design wanted all my money . under that top right crown i had to have surgery so anotherbcrown was installed and i complained too much food was getting in between the 2 top right teeth. instead of smile design saying no more crowns dr koren of smile design said he will put 2 gold crowns next to my top right crown to make a better tighter fit so he took out my over 30 year old crown which had no problems and he put three new gold crowns together even though the top right tooth was not qualified to hold a crown and not that long after the top right crown fell out again and smile design never took my calls and when i went to the new dentist dr song whom said this top right tooth will not hold a crown and the previous dentist to smile design should say this tooth will not hold a crown but they decided to take my money anyways and dr koren of smile design love the money more than the patients and in a busy shopping center you can get a lot of patients without referrals. what took time to happen was the 3 crowns smile design installed without fitting them properly with the other teeth caused 2 holes in my bottom right gold crown. dr koren left a big huge crown on the top right of my mouth which makes it hard to fit a gold crown to replace the gold crown with the 2 holes in it at the bottom of my mouth and thebad bite with the loss of the tooth on the top right is causing a gap between the 2 leftover crowns dr koren installed and if dr koren was honest to say this tooth will not hold a crown on the top right side of your mouth i would have been in a better situation without smile design dentistry. read more
