Absolutely horrible service now. I used to love coming here, but the level of care has gone completely downhill. They constantly cancel appointments, sometimes the day before or even the same day, after you've already made arrangements to be there. I currently have a broken bracket that is causing my teeth to shift, and the change is very noticeable. When I explained my concerns to Becky, she simply shrugged her shoulders and told me the next available ortho appointment was June 2nd. There was no urgency, concern, or empathy whatsoever. Waiting that long for a broken bracket while my teeth are actively shifting is unacceptable, especially considering how much money I've invested into my braces. The old staff used to actually care. If you had a broken bracket or a wire poking you, they would at least try to accommodate you or squeeze you in. Now it feels like no one cares about patient comfort or oral health anymore. All I was told was, "If we have an opening, I'll let you know," and that they would "notate the account." Meanwhile, the broken bracket is on my front tooth and the shifting is clearly visible. At this point, I just want my braces removed so I can go somewhere else that values their patients. It's disappointing because I never had issues with this office before, but the service has become mediocre and the lack of compassion is very noticeable. read more

I was very impressed with the dental visit today. I had not been for a checkup in over a year and the staff was very thorough in reviewing my history and informing me of insurance coverages. The dentist was outstanding. She did an oral cancer screening and even cleaned my teeth after first checking my teeth and gums. I wish I remembered her name. **Legal Action Pending**Do Not Go to This Dangerous Office**Your Health is at Risk** I was a patient at this office for about 15 years until I had to stop going due to the unethical, inexperienced, unprofessional, and dangerous staff they have working there now, most notably "Dr." Karishma Parikh and the office "manager" Lauren Fleming. I had to take a two-year break due to the pandemic and when I returned all the credible, professional staff were gone. I hope all read this and either protect themselves fully by not going to this office or taking the precautions that I described below for your safety. I guess this office thought I was not serious when I told them I would take legal action against them for performing surgery on the wrong tooth that has resulted in pain and sensitivity since the surgery was performed in October. I sent DentalWorks in Clearwater a certified letter on 08/03 along with evidence in an attempt to handle this situation out of court. I gave them two weeks to respond yet they chose to ignore it, so legal action it is! In addition to legal action, I am also reporting "Dr." Karishma Parikh to the Indiana Dental Association for misconduct and to the Peer Review Committee. I'll update my review when I have news to report. Can't put everything here as it might affect my court case. Please follow these steps to protect yourself against this unprofessional and dangerous office: 1. Record the entire visit or bring someone with you to record it. a."Dr." Parikh, the hygienist, and the dental assistant will more than likely all back up each other's story if something goes wrong so you need to record the visit as that will be your only witness. 2. Make them show you the notes they are putting in the system concerning your visit before you leave. a. This will ensure notes are put into the system on the day of the appointment. In my case, I had an appointment on 10/18, yet the notes from that visit were not added until 10/25 which is the day before I was due to have surgery. 3. After you've seen the notes in the system, make them print off a copy of those notes so both you and the dentist can sign off on what was discussed and documented. a. When I requested my records, I saw where notes were modified from one of my visits. This in itself is not cause for alarm, but when my records are viewed as a whole the note modification is concerning. b. I also saw things that were documented that were not true and other important details that were left out. If I had viewed my notes before I left, I would have made sure the correct information was listed in my patient file. c. Last but not least, my final appointment was to complain that surgery was performed on the wrong tooth and that I was still experiencing pain in that area. When I saw my dental records, this office didn't even document that I came in! I guess they thought if they didn't document the appointment that means it never happened and they can all say that I simply didn't show up. If you decide you want to go to or keep attending this office for your dental care, please take the necessary precautions because if you don't, you're putting your health at risk. read more

I have been visiting DentalWorks for over a year with my family in tow. The staff has been great and I am glad that I chose DentalWorks over another place that I was considering for orthodontic work. The staff worked with me on payments for orthodontic treatment plans and was willing to work with me when I asked for additional work. I've been on a search for a new dentist and happened to notice Dentalworks during a visit to the Sears Optical store right around the corner from Dentalworks that is, in fact, located on the second floor on Sears in Castleton Square Mall. They'd advertised a free initial evaluation and, knowing I've got some major work needing to be done, I thought it would be a great chance to get a second opinion. The initial process was promising as I tend to need to do a lot by web since I work in a cubicle and have a hard time taking personal calls. I was able to schedule an initial appointment online and get things confirmed similarly. As a dental phobe, I'd cautioned the staff that I was very nervous about my appointment and I'll admit that my arrival at Dentalworks raised concerns because the office itself is a very open concept office with very little privacy between patients. Still, I was very impressed with my dental technician and was starting to feel at ease. She seemed to realize that I use humor as a coping skill and reassured me that they'd seen many people with teeth worse than my own. I also met the dentist, who shortly after my appointment was no longer with the practice, and I was really comfortable with her. She explained options, seemed genuinely concerned, and helped make recommendations while explaining her recommendations. It went downhill, however, with the hygienist. Sometimes, you just don't click with someone and this was a definite case of personalities not matching. This person didn't get my "humor" and repeatedly called me out for making light of my teeth with comments like "This isn't funny" and "I don't see anything to laugh about here." I felt very shamed by her negative comments and felt pretty traumatized by the appointment's end. Because I liked the dentist, I decided to e-mail the team and see about scheduling a follow-up but requesting a new hygienist. I specifically requested e-mail follow-up due to my work day, but I was called twice. I finally gave up and decided to keep searching for a dentist that would be a better fit. So, if you have a fear of dentists or tend to need more of a personal touch it's hard to imagine this practice will meet your needs. The environment is not conducive to nurturing, the privacy factor is uncomfortable, and overall it has a very "corporate" feel to it. If, however, you just need general dental work and want an option that's fairly convenient and easy to work with then this may fit the bill. read more

It smells so bad upon walking in, maybe they're keeping rotten teeth they remove instead of discarding them. They want you to be accommodating for their schedule but will reschedule you continuously, and will not see you if you're 15 minutes late. Even when I was early to my appointment I waited 13 minutes to be called back. They push out braces adjustment extending the duration of your treatment. They are over booked and excepting too many patients that they cannot accommodate for dental emergencies or urgent reschedules. Being that they only see patients on Tuesday's. This causing you to go over 3 months for adjustments causing my teeth to shift in a position worse than when I got the adjustment. I work in a doctors office and typically you leave room. The dentist has really bad memory everytime he's says we will do something at the next appointment it never happens, I have been in braces with this office for a year and a half and have seen very little progress. A baby tooth was taken out at the start of treatment and the gap has yet to be closed. Which was estimated to take around 8 months to from another orthodontist and I have been walking around without a bracket on one tooth for a year. This is ridiculous. read more

Our experience today was good. My daughter is pleased so far with the work on her braces. The only complaint I have is the receptionist had a mouth full of food and seemed bothered while checking us out. Not sure eating lunch while checking people in and out is the best thing. After years of debating about braces @ struggling with my smile I decided to give Invisalign a try. Dr. Paris was amazing! She gave me all the pros & cons to the procedure & didn't push me to make a rush decision. The staff (Kenya & the front office ladies) & Dr. Paris have been so pleasant, helpful, & understand during this entire process. No matter what my questions or concerns are everyone has jumped in to comfort & explain everything from the cost, the procedure, & up keep! Stay away! I went for a routine cleaning as a new patient and was fast talked into a lot of recommended procedures, spoke to the financial counselor (hint if youre at a dental office that employs a financial counselor something is off). She provided me an estimate of out of pocket and insurance coverage. They hurried to get me scheduled to get work done and did so. I paid @$500 out of pocket then just now, a month later get an additional bill for $700. Thats right, insurance didnt cover most of the procedures done. Financial advisor appears to have failed to check. Either that or they outright scam people. Incompetence or dishonesty you decide. My insurance CS told me she had never seen a filling claim amount that high. Theyll get their money bc its my fault that I trusted them but Ill take my time with it. Edit; after much back and forth, they waived most of those fees so up, just do your due diligence. 2nd edit; went to new dentist and told all work had to be redone bc shoddy. After being in HORRIBLE pain and needing a root canal, I suffered for 5 days all locations closed for Christmas, EXTENDED BREAK. I fianlly got a appointment for Tuesday the 30th. First available, waited till tuesday, I got a reminder text message at 10 am reminding me of my apt. With this pain I havent forgotten it. Getting ready to leave noticed I missed a call, Voice Mail telling me my apt had been cancelled. I called extremely upset to be told that they could gladly get me in on FRIDAY!!! HELLO IM IN PAIN HERE. Not counting taking a day off work to do this. All I got was sorry for the inconvenience, ITS A LITTLE MORE THAN A INCONVENIENCE at this point. No referral to help get this done today NOTHING. This is a PISS POOR operation. And I hope NOBODY IS STUPID ENOUGH TO DEAL WITH YOU PEOPLE.
