The communication on the phone was consistently good when we called to make appt. & to talk insurance, and the whole process today was well-coordinated and efficient. (Haha I'd even call the experience pleasant, but I wasn't the one getting my teeth taken out.) They are in a new building just north of 116th & Michigan Rd., in a nice, pleasant, and roomy office space on the 2nd floor. They explained everything well to my daughter & to me, & gave us written take-home instructions as well. Indiana Oral & Maxill. turned an experience that could have been miserable into something quite tolerable. And quick! We drove away one hour later. It is a well-run office, and Dr. Kirkup was pleasant & very experienced. We felt like we were in good hands and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this doctor and office to others.

Schier performed a coronectomy to ensure I didn't have lasting nerve damage afterwards. I had zero complications and everything went smoothly. I had been worried going in as I have mild TMJ but that was a non factor. Thank you Dr. Schier!

My previous dentist referred me to a periodontist who gave me a very expensive treatment plan that…read morewas zero percent covered by my insurance. After stressing over it for two weeks, I decided I need to go elsewhere because I can't pay for this treatment. At Urgent Dental, we discussed other treatments that are covered by insurance and I decided to proceed. Everyone in this office is courteous and kind. Dr. Issa is very gentle - least painful numbing injection I've ever had. I always assumed they were just for emergencies (in spite of the Family Dentistry in their name), but I learned that they are full service, so I am switching all of my dental care to them.

The lady (stated she was from the Lafayette Rd. Location) at the front desk on Saturday May 17,…read more2025 in Avon, was very unprofessional. My fiance came in with a swollen face and in pain. Was told his tooth was infected and a root canal was needed. A prescription was given. He left and after a while noticed his prescription was not sent. He then called and inquired and was told they were too busy and it would be done at 2 which is closing time and this location is not open on Sundays. The time of the call was approximately 12:30 pm. He explained he was in pain and wanted to ensure it would be submitted. Closer to 2 pm we went back up to the establishment and she then pretended to not realized he was given a prescription. Stated they did not give her paperwork. He stated it's a good thing he came back and she told him not to do that. When he inquired not to do what, she mentioned moving him out or in a different part of the call lineup sheet for prescription calls as punishment. She continued to tell him they were busy and hadn't ate lunch yet. At one point she even put her head in her hands, like she was over it. When he left out, she proceeded to lock the door and this was before 2 pm. Her whole attitude about the situation was rude and not apologetic. I myself have worked in a professional setting with upset individuals and have never taken my personal emotions out on the individual. It's not the customers issue that you are busy, have not eaten or any other thing going on behind the scenes. I told him this needs to be submitted and known in case the next person in pain has to deal with this insensitive person. We will also be writing a review where we can about this treatment.
