the reviews here seem very hot or cold, but my boyfriend and i have both had a great time here. the front desk staff aren't really warm, but still very polite and helpful. the most up front doctor about insurance/payment i can remember having. i wish i got the hygienists name who helped me, he was so nice and really made a point to talk to me. dr. rochman was so nice and i have a friend crush on her lol. i really appreciate the initial appointment, i was skeptical of a whole appointment with no cleaning but they really did their research and were able to schedule my cleaning the same week! read more

The dentist there are great but the billing department is horrible. They told me the service wold be covered by my insurance. After the appointment I got a bill that was more than $1000. They told me the insurance wouldnt cover it. This was about the 3rd time i've had billing issues with them. I have two instances from my own and my spouse just for dental. I went to W10 Dental Group for crown and first they told me everything should be covered with two coverages. First they did to me was a deep clean and gum care which I only asked for cleaning and crown was my major priority which my teeth were perfectly fine for to proceed. And the they told me to wait until 2026 so that both my insurance will be recharged and will cover pretty much the wholesome so I waited. I went back there in February 2026 and they told me that first visit for crown would cost $200 and I was shocked. When I explained what I was told and one of the front desk employees said you had a deductible and it'll cost about $200. So I canceled all the future appointments. All I know is they ripped my insurance and sometimes sent me the bills that I shouldn't be paying besides the plans they've told me. So I'm going to find another place instead. read more

First of all, my appointment was rescheduled, not the first time. Found out it was due to a meeting on a Saturday - the office is only open until 12. They couldn't bring lunch in and do meeting after office closed? Second, I had my appointment today which was great. Staff I dealt with were wonderful. However, when my cleaning was done I was left waiting for over 25 minutes for the dentist to come in and do an exam. Since I had to work, I left room and informed front desk I was leaving. Not happy. Also when I went to front desk, those behind the counter were in a jam regarding Care Credit and could not find an office manager because they had stepped out - at 9:30 on a Monday morning? Today my 26 yo had an appointment with the W 10th group on w 10th St. This is an adult with autism. We set the appointment up online almost two months ago after a recommendation from Indiana Oral Maxillofacial - Oral surgery group recommended them due to in office anesthesia and the extent of the deantl work to be completed. The lady at the front counter was very nice and checked us in upon arrival. Within 3 minutes of checking us in another woman came from the back office and she didn't 'know whose problem it was", but that the dentist had gone home due to having no more appointments today. I heard that and asked if it was us and no one answered. About 7 or 8 minutes later, the lady at the counter said that there was a text that went out this morning stating that they did not take her insurance. That the Georgetown Rd office did. My kid did not read the message, thinking it was just the normal " good morning- remember you have an appointment with us today" text. I asked why the insurance was not checked at the time the appointment was made and there was not an answer because the nice lady behind the counter was working today at an unfamiliar office. We were told that Georgetown would be open until 2 pm today ( Saturday). So we decided to stop by and make an appointment there instead of calling. The office was closed and they do not have Saturday hours. The main phone number for the 10th st office was incapable of holding more voicemails and the Georgetown office had the voicemail feature turned off. I realize that Medicaid is not the payee of choice,but it's all my kid has because they are over age to be on our insurance ( her parents') insurance any longer. When we initally filled out the forms online we stated that she was in pain and in need of quite a lot of dental work. I am well aware that medicaid will not pay for the astronomical dollar figure that it will cost, we plan to pay that out of our own pockets. But now, I think that I might need to find another dental group to with which to work. I can't imagine being so disrespectful of someone's time and need, that you don't bother after nearly **ninety days** to check and verify their insurance let alone contact them in time to make another appointment elsewhere for care. And this, knowing they are in pain. Maybe you are not interested in our business, but someone else somewhere else will be. P.S. If you need an office manager to ensure that these types of issues are resolved by your billers/ insurance people in a timely fashion. let me know. Staff was very unpleasant during my visit. The door was initially locked when I got there at 2pm so I had to wait next to the stairs for someone to unlock it. then the wait time was very long. When we were finally brought to the room we waited a while for the dentist. That was not out of the ordinary, but random employees kept coming in and out of the room to grab stuff. When the dentist entered, he was trying to guilt trip my mother into paying for extra services that were unnecessary. After having a horrible experience at Campi Family Dentistry off Crawfordsville Road, the 10th St. Dental Group was refreshing. It's a one-stop-shop for all your dental needs. Even their in-house insurance plan is very reasonable! I see Dr. Christensen and she is beyond fabulous. Very trustworthy and genuine. The reasons I only gave 4 stars is because they didn't do a proper job explaining the in-house dental insurance plan. The process felt rushed but I should have been more persistent and done better asking questions. Also, the assistant for Dr. Christensen was a bit rough. My daughter was scheduled incorrectly for a surgical procedure twice and turned away twice because front office staff incorrectly scheduled her appointment. She lives two hours away and both of us have taken time off work both times only to be turned away without any concessions being made. I love this place! I had to get a new night guard. It needed adjustments so I returned for those. I had the privilege of having Hana , dental assistant, do the adjustments for me. I was so impressed with her expertise in getting it to fit my mouth. I had had other night guards made in other states and it usually took 2-3 visits to get it right. Not only was she efficient in doing her work, but she was also an excellent listener when I explained where I needed adjustments. Thank you , Hana, for your quality of care. The best experience I had so far in my life. I have a needle phobia. Dr. Rapp conducted a root canal on my molar that needed anesthesia injections. If I didn't know they were injections, I wouldn't know. He is an absolute expert on not letting you feel pain. I also recommend Dr. Stacey Rochman who at one glance at my X-ray, identified that I must go through a root canal to stop an internal infection. Loved the rest of the staff who is very attentive and very diligent to their duties and jobs. Love their attitudes and love their professionalism. Looking forward to my next cleaning next February, 2024. read more

I have had so much dental work done, and have been to so many dentists in my lifetime, so when I give a dentist five stars, I mean it! I came here specifically to see Dr. Hindman, the periodontist. He was amazing from start to finish. He even called me at home a few hours after my procedure, just to see how I was doing. Dr. Hindman took the time to explain the work that needed to be done beforehand, and I never got the impression that he was trying to upsell me or try to make me do something that wasn't necessary. The waiting room is large and comfortable, and I never had to wait very long to be seen. I also really liked interacting with the staff there. They are very professional yet lighthearted. And when I asked for a breakdown of the work that needed to be done, and a record of what my insurance would pay, they gladly gave it to me, no problem. I don't like any thing about this dentist office except that it is in the same neighborhood as my house. I started going here because i heard great things about the pediatric side and wanted to make it easy by having the whole family go to the same place . First time was so awful it's unbelievable had to wait 45 min to be seen then another 30 min to see the dentist. Second time better wait but still had to wait 20 minutes or more to see the dentist. The hygienists were all very sweet and made the process wonderful for my daughter. I do have them to Thank for her lack of fear of the dentist . Then our favorite hygienist moved and they don't have a very flexible schedule as they are a huge office with plenty of clients im sure. My husband's experience was awful as well. He waited 45 min and then the dentist finally came back and he said commented on the wait and that he almost left. Her response "well you still can" He then canceled all future appointments and when they called to ask why there was no apology or any kind of options to want us to come back. Next was then my appointment I called to see about an appointment I asked then how much it was going to cost they said they didn't know I'd have to call insurance they told me their appointments were $90. I called the insurance company and then Called back to ask her with the information they gave me, nobody answered then I called back, left a voicemail nobody call me back so I got an appointment another Dentist office cost me $30 they were a heck of a lot nicer. This dentist office is not esthetically pleasing, could use some updates. This was the 1st dentist office I have been to that was like a corporation and I am not a fan. I came here for care in 2019 to do a root canal revision. They got the job done and I have been pain-free, but the endodontist I saw (Dr Rapp) was impatient at times. His bedside manner was a bit lacking, though it appears that he is technically proficient at his craft. When his dental assistant was assisting, she caused me to have some pain in my mouth and I tried to explain that but she was also very impatient and dismissive. Given that experience, I wouldn't return because I believe you can deliver care without being dismissive of your patients concerns. read more

I have been put on hold to finish (yes finish, they didn't finish the first appointment !!!) my root canal since November. I had an appointment for January and I came in and they told me that dr.rapp was out sick that day. No one called me to tell me to not come to my appointment so the appointment got moved to April 2nd. Guess what I was told today? That they needed a verbal confirmation even though I did the text confirmation so they canceled my appointment again. They claimed to call me have left no voicemails, when I asked what number they called from because I was showing them my call log. They said that their phone has multiple numbers and couldn't tell me which was theirs. They emailed the wrong email & didn't apologize for their lack of customer support. I am done with this place. I know it sounds strange but I just feel like a woman when these pearly whites are all sparkly n stuff! When I came to west 10th dental I first of all was greater by the most friendliest receptionist. She was kind and accommodating and we had small talk. That helped ease my fear of going to the dentist. In the waiting room there is a fridge full of bottled water and there is a tea and coffee waiting station for customers to use. How inviting!!! When I got called back, the lady who was cleaning my teeth was super nice and we legit talked the whole time like we were best friends! Well she did most of the talking because my teeth were getting scraped - eeek! I hate that sound! Then the doctor came in and was very friendly. The best thing about this experience was the staff AND I referred a friend to this dental office and got a $100 off card mailed to me that I could apply to my bill. How awesome is that! No one can appreciate $100 like me and my penny pinching hubby. So cheers to that! read more

My family & I have been patients for over 20 years. This review is for the ortho department downstairs. I went in for an appointment for a retainer, they took me back and thought I was there to consult about braces. so they had the logistics of my appointment wrong. After they figured that out, they took an impression of my teeth for the retainer, had me pay, and schedule two weeks out to pick up retainer. I get to the second appointment and they thought I was there AGAIN to consult for braces! I told them I was picking up my retainer only to find out that there is NO retainer or they couldn't find my impression!!! They then told me the price I paid was not the right price and should have been charged twice what was paid. I asked for a refund because they lost my impression and have NO retainer. It's been a week and still no refund or haven't heard from anyone! So disappointing! read more

So disappointed in this group. After being a patient for 20+ years I've decided that it is no longer worth the headache of dealing with the office staff here. Doctors are great, administrative staff in the last two-three years has just gotten worse and worse. In the past few years, they have refused to clean my daughter's teeth because my ex-husband owed $60 (what??) Was told by the office manager that there was "nothing that could be done" even though when I called my ex he confirmed that it was paid and had a receipt. So I took both girls out of school and a day off work for nothing because they refused to do a cleaning that was 100% PAID by the insurance because of this $60. Proceeded to embarrass me in front of the entire office staff and waiting patients by loudly discussing the fact that I "don't pay my bills" so that's why the girls can't get their teeth cleaned. Yep, had to pay the $60 on my EX-HUSBAND'S ACCOUNT before they would clean my kids teeth. Ridiculous. Like other reviews have said, I too have had my personal information LOUDLY discussed by the administrative staff at the front desk. No one seems to care. I've heard other patient's information discussed as well things like "his teeth are really messed up its going to be expensive" while the parent and child were in with the dentist. Lots of personal conversations going on within earshot of the waiting room. While waiting on a cleaning a while back I witnessed an elderly man being completely embarrassed and humiliated because he had a balance due on his account that he was not aware of. The person at the desk was borderline yelling and arguing with him telling him "no sir you just need to pay your bills then this won't happen". I felt sorry for him because it is confusing for older people with insurance etc. and he just simply didn't understand yet was berated and treated like a deadbeat for not paying, AND everyone in the waiting room heard it all. Today I had an appointment at 12:30pm for a cleaning, I hadn't confirmed the appointment prior because I had a sinus infection over the weekend and didn't was to confirm then not show up (and inconvenience the doctor) because I wasn't over it. I woke up felt better and confirmed the appointment at 8am. Got to the office at 12:25pm and was told "sorry you confirmed too late" it was cancelled. What?? I confirmed it four and a half hours ago?? So you allowed me to take a half day off work and show up and never called me?? After hounding me with 25+ calls to confirm for the last two weeks? I told her I was fed up with the way they do business and myself and my two daughters would find another dental office. She then sarcastically said as I was walking out "well give us a call and let us know where to send the paperwork" WOW. So they will now lose three patients and they could care less. I went to my scheduled dental appointment, and from the beginning, the dental assistant didn't know how to answer simple questions. Then, another dental assistant (male) comes in to take a dental X-ray. He was so rough with the equipment that it made my lip bleed, and he forced his hand into my mouth to hold the equipment for the X-ray. He persisted in saying it was important for the dentist to view them. The dentist cut my gum and walked out, telling the female assistant to reschedule my appointment. I was confused about why the appointment couldn't continue and began to ask the female dental assistant questions. She couldn't answer if my gums were infected, what happened, or any steps to fix my tooth. She didn't lower the seat, adjust the backrest, or get assistance with my question about my dental work. I walked out with sunglasses, horrible pain, a busted lip, no answers, and a rescheduled card with the wrong name on it. So dissatisfied and in pain to wait another two months (according to the card). Don't get appointments here unless you want to leave with unanswered responses, pain, anger, and loss of money! read more

I used to work here years ago downstairs in oral surgery. This used to be a great place to work and to bring my family to. On this particular day, I brought my daughter to get a tooth extracted and at least one more filled. We get there and they put her in pedo to get a cleaning. Uh well ok I guess. She is only 16. However, nowhere else treats her like a child more than they did. It was ridiculous. I went back with her because I was still filling out paperwork that couldn't be done online. That whole process was an absolute shitshow. The conversation that happened back there was horrible. Talking about so and so's baby daddys uncle and all kinds of stuff. Not professional at all. Once she got her cleaning and rads, we talked about what i mentioned above with the filling and extraction. There were 3 others that got mentioned for fillings. Ok so that makes 5 teeth total. When we came out my husband said HIPAA apparently means nothing to these people. He could tell me at least 3 patients full names, SS# and insurance information. He was sitting at least 15 ft away! FF to extraction time. I went back with her (on adult side this time) and they put her in a chair and then said ugh i see you wanted the nitrous on her. I said yes. So she said well now I have to see if any of those rooms are available. She gave me the papers to sign for the treatment plan and consent to treat. They had added 9 more teeth that needed a filling. None of them were brought up, mentioned or discussed before. Finally got her into a nitrous room. Assistant was told twice that she's allergic to mint and its on her papers as well. She said she was going to give some numbing gel before shots. Ok so i turn around to set my stuff down on the counter and back around to see her shove a green gel in my daughters mouth. The tears started rolling down my daughters face. I asked if it was meant and just got a non chalant yeah. I said I TOLD YOU TWICE SHE WAS ALLERGIC TO MINT! So she huffed and came over and took it out and rinsed with a mouthwash which I'm pretty sure was mint as well. Dr. Parcy came in and did numbing. Waited til she was numb and then came back and said where's my assistant? I said I guess you're looking at her! She finally came in after he had already picked up the extraction tool. Dr. Parcy got her tooth out quickly. However,when he left, never came back to check on her at all. The assistant knew I had worked in oral surgery before so she said so I guess you don't need to know what to do. Kinda fair. Kindly do your job. So Dr Parcy prescribed her some pain meds for us to pick up on our way home. We get there to pick up and they have nothing at all. So I called because Dr Parcy said we dont close til 7 if you need anything. I was calling at 6:15pm. No answer. I called 17 times to no answer until 7PM. So day one of no pain meds. First thing next morning I called and was told that his system was wonky yesterday and it never went through. No shit! I'll resend it and you can get it later today. I gave it an hour and a half, called Kroger. Still nothing. I called back probably 5 times and was given the run around over the damn pain meds. Day 2 of no pain meds. VERY CRANKY kid at this point. I called the next day and they got it called in. I call Kroger to make sure and then get told they have it but Dr Parcy isn't associated with our insurance and can't prescribe for her. Another call to their office! Then she says oh yeah they've been saying that for awhile. I am fuming!!! She ended up calling another doctor and having him write the RX. No one has called to even ask how she's doing or anything. They almost had our entire family there and there's a bunch of us. No way in hell are any of us going back! Ever! read more

First off I want to say that the doctors and dental techs are very professional and very nice. I have absolutely no problem with any of them. Making appointments and cancelling is very easy as well. That being said, their billing department is a fucking joke. I have seen plenty of dentists in my life and I always pay after the procedure with no issue. However with West 10th street not only would I pay after my appointment but then I would receive a bill for around $12 about a week and a half after I saw them. Thought it was a bit odd but such a small amount so it was always paid. I went and saw them again for a routine cleaning in May and paid after the appointment as I always did. Sure enough about a week and a half later here comes a bill for about $12. Paid in full as always. So imagine my surprise when a whole 3 months past and I get another bill but this time for over $100. Confused I called the billing department and was immediately talked over the top of me and she would not let me get a word in at all. Basically calling me a deadbeat and to pay my bill. What kind of shit is that? How in the hell do I get a bill 3 months after the fact? Why was the bill statement on 7/27/23 and yet I did not receive the bill until 8/4/23? I also now only had 5 days to pay it since it is due on the 9th. I live in Indianapolis and their office is in Indianapolis and somewhow it took 8 days to get to me via snail mail? If it is within the same city that should have gotten to my address by the 29th at the latest. That pretty much means that they had the bill, sat on it and then sent it out knowing that I only had a few days to actually pay it. Oh they will get their money but I will never step foot in that office again. The billing department is a complete joke, everyone there should be immediately let go and get some decent people in there that know how to talk to customers. Also get your shit together when it comes to billing, all of this can be taken care of after the appointment and not months after. Never returning ever again. read more

The dental practice of West 10th Dental Group is filled with people who are kind, explain what is happening and what treatment options there are. They are professional, efficient and careful in their work. I called before I went to an appointment one time to check for sure that the timing was right to be covered by insurance, then got a bill for the cleaning saying that insurance wouldn't cover it. I called the office to explain what happened. They admitted the error was on their side and did not hold me responsible for the cost. The complexities of insurance make a few mistakes inevitable, but they acted honorably. In every way, I highly recommend this dental practice. read more

I used to go to a dentist down the street from here. Walgreens bought the location which forced my awesome dentist to merge with West 10th Group. The staff here is friendly and my appointments are quick and punctual, so I have no real complaint there. My main issue is the lack of a personal experience. You spend 99% of your time with the Dental Hygenist/Assistant and you only see an actual dentist for about 2 minutes at the very end of your cleaning. You never get the same dentist, which REALLY bothers me. None of these people really know me or my teeth. It sounds stupid but that means alot to me. I loved my original dentist and now I never see him. I don't even know if he still works there. They usher you in like cattle. I just think a medical practice, which I put dental work in that category, should be more intimate. I gave three stars because it is a nice and clean facility, the staff is super nice, and my teeth have had no issues, so they must be contributing to that. Would I recommend West 10th though? I wouldn't. The only reason I keep going is because it is a hassle at this point to start over with another place, new X-Rays, etc. read more

Was referred to West 10th by the Immediadent in Avon, IN. Very happy with how they treated our youngest son (7) via sedation dentistry. One visit fixed everything (several cavities from refusing to brush and Floss correctly) as well as issues with his first teeth coming out and new ones coming in. Just one quick 15 min. visit to set up the sedation session, then the sedation itself. Staff came by and have us updates on what was going on/how things were going approximately every fifteen minutes, including what to expect after. When it was all done, we were brought in and allowed to be the first faces he saw waking up, holding his favorite stuffed animal and wrapped in his favorite blanket. Everyone involved was concerned, helpful and compassionate. We would 'highly' recommend them for your childs' dental needs. :) read more

Horrible experience! My tooth was drilled down to nothing! So much of my tooth is gone I now need a root canal. And the assistant who filled my tooth said the cavity was between my teeth and they had to drill away the whole tooth. BS! They did NOT tell me before hand that this was what they were planning on doing. And it make matters worse, she couldn't even get the filling in my tooth!! She kept hurting my mouth when her tool slipped time and time again off into my cheek. 3 days later I developed a really bad bacterial infection in my sinus cavities. read more
