Thanks very much Dr John for making me feel so much confident about myself ...! I have been told that I need implant for my front teeth which is so expensive and painful ... I went to Dr John for the second opinions and he was explained what I should do and what's the treatment plan. And finally I have my faith on him . On the day of my appointment, he did a wonderful job, and now I have new teeth with pretty color and matching my other teeth as well. I was nervous at first, and they gave me the mask with oxygen and nitrogen which make me feel so much relax during the visit. Thank you to Jill for being there and hold my hand , I just feel they are like my family Everyone there are so patient , helpful and professional as I ever met Thanks Stephanie and Mrs Misty for all your help. I love my dental office Thanks again for everything. read more

My son and I went to Northview Dental on 91st Street in Indy. We have been regular with our dental cleanings and follow-ups for decades. This is an office that will bribe you to leave them a 5-star review. They will give you several gifts and smile and act all sophisticated; however, they are dishonest. They will do services they know are not covered and ask you to pay. They will tell you that you have several cavities when you don't. They will find something for you to get done when you don't need it. Over three visits, I was told I needed 3 crowns when I needed 1. Unless you're planning to get a second opinion, beware and don't be fooled. read more

I recently switched my primary dentist to this location and I'm glad I did. From my first appointment for a routine cleaning to recently needing crown repair I have always felt genuine compassion and care. The staff here is so welcoming and does their best to make sure your needs are met. What stood out to me was, while I was waiting on my crown to finish curing they offered me a blanket so I could take a quick nap. I've never had this type of treatment at a dentist office and the experience was for sure top tier! read more

Great office located on north side of Indianapolis (IN). The front desk staff makes you feel right at home immediately when you walk in the door. Everything was on time and it was an extremely professionally run office. Northview Dental is very patient-friendly, professional, and provide Great Care. Super hi-tech and innovative approach to dentistry. Sterile. And they even have cool music. read more

Exceptional dental care. the office experience is great. I have been to many many dentist offices, this is by far the best experience.

This has to be the best dental office ever! Every part of my experience from scheduling through the appointment was impressive. You can tell the doctor and staff really care about the patient and even took the time to show me a few areas on my x-rays that helped me know why & how to care for my teeth better, which will motivate me to do so (flossing! ). I never once felt rushed & the staff & doctor made me feel welcomed & cared for the entire visit. My son (9) was having his appointment at the same time & they updated me (without me even requesting) a few times to let me know how great he was doing too. Love this place! read more

My dentist joined this practice and I couldn't be happier! The staff is always super accommodating and I never wait long for my appointment. The office is clean and modern. I'm impressed by how "up to date" everyone seems - there's always something new. I've had a number of cleanings, all painless, and a crown replaced (ugh)(not bad, but still). They have successfully managed my insurance, which sometimes is the biggest challenge. I recommend Northview Dental. read more

Dishonest business practices. Make sure your insurance covers a service before getting anything done here which they should do but don't. Run do not walk. Worse cleaning I ever had read more

Dr. Goodwine did a tooth extraction for me. Not as easy a process as we hoped. But what great work. I have had to use no strong painkillers. Only Ibuprofen. And hardly any swelling at all! Just a mild steroid has done the trick. I could not be happier with my recovery. EXCEPTIONAL CARE AT NORTHVIEW DENTAL!!! read more

My appointment was canceled several times by the office. I understand during these COVID times things are challenging. However, there should be a better process in place for those who are canceled to be moved to the next day(s) opening. read more

I absolutely LOVE the doctors and staff! Everyone is friendly and every time I come in I see smiling faces. I always get my questions answered. I would definitely recommend this office to anyone. read more

I was going to Northview Dental on E. 91st Street in Indianapolis about a year and a half ago. I stopped going right before COVID was becoming an issue. I went for my six-month cleaning and check up. I have always had great dental care in the different places I have lived besides Indianapolis. When I went to this place for my last cleaning, I was told before I saw the hygienist that I owed about $80. I have never paid anything at the dentist in the past unless I was having a tooth extracted or a bridge made or an implant put in to replace a tooth. I asked what the $80 was for and was told that the last two times that I visited their office, I was seen by a dentist that was not my regular dentist and, therefore, had to pay an out of network charge each time. I told them that I'm sitting in the chair with my glasses off and saw a dentist that I see only every six months and was not even aware that it was a different dentist. I paid $40 and owe the other $40. I was told by friends and family that they had a dental office do the same to them and they reported them and was told not to pay any of the extra charges because they weren't told upfront that they owed it. I am going to report that dental office to the ADA, Attorney General's Office and any other place that needs to know about this and file complaints. Be aware of these extra dental charges that they try to bill you for because you probably do not owe them. And do NOT go to this dental office! It's just okay - nothing great - and can be a headache that you don't need! Beware!!! read more

This is a very long story but I feel future patients should be aware of how Northview Dental chose to conduct business with me. I had just started going to Northview Dental after my dentist of 10+ years retired. I went in for my first cleaning and had mentioned pain in my lower jaw. They took x-ray's and Dr. Benson informed me a root canal was needed. The root canal was scheduled and upon receiving it (performed by Dr. John Pasicznyk) other than the moderate pain that coincides with a typical root canal all seemed well. Fast forward a few weeks later and many sleepless nights the same pain grew to be excruciating. I visited them 5 or 6 times to figure out what would be causing the same pain to not go away and I was continually informed that they couldn't find anything wrong (after taking more x-rays) so they would "fix" my bite in hopes that was the problem. I started to feel like they thought I was crazy and making it up. The pain then became so bad I couldn't take it anymore so they referred me to an endodontist. Unfortunately, the endodontist Northview Dental wanted to send me to could not get me in till the next day and here is where the real conflict lies. Since I was so desperate for answers and for the pain to go away I took it upon myself to find someone that could work me in that day. The first thing the new practice did was take an x-ray and were able to see immediately what was causing the very aggressive pain. They explained that the pain was caused by "excessive material in the root of my gum". Basically Dr. Pasiczynk went too far down on one side of the root causing the extreme nerve pain. I was stunned and immediately so angry that Northview Dental did not catch this the first visit back when I complained of the pain. To end a long story, I needed a surgical procedure done to cut open my gum and cut out the extra piece that was left. This cost me way more money than what I was planning on paying and time off of work. Northview did not apologize for any inconvenience or for the agony I had been in for weeks and because I hadn't gone to the office they referred me to they were not willing to discuss anything further. They only briefly explained that these things can happen and there is nothing they will do. read more

They took really good care of me and my wife. The office staff was very friendly and informative. The hygienist Laura and treatment coordinator Ashley both had a great attention to detail and always made sure I was doing okay throughout the process. Dr. Gershman was very personable and easy to talk to, and I learned quite a lot about my health from her. It was a wonderful experience altogether! read more

For years I have had an extreme fear of the dentist. I've put off going for years and finally decided to go back. The staff at Northview did everything in their power to make me feel safe and comfortable. Nicole and Evie were amazing, holding my hand and reassuring me. Travis was also amazing and made sure I gained confidence in returning. There is not a better, more competent, or caring staff out there. Truly amazing! read more

Dr. Olivia has been my dentist for the last year. I love the office. Everyone there is very friendly and they work to individualize each patient. They also have a lot of new cutting edge technology that they employ. They are also mindful of costs and will try hard to work with you on payment plans. I go there for my cleanings, and I've also been for a dental implant and the post-op for a root canal retreat. The only thing they don't do is braces, but they will recommend you to their sister site. read more

The worse experience ever!! Went to the office for my appointment with who I thought was my dentist only to find out after the cleaning it's someone totally new that I've never seen before. Please ask BEFORE your appointment who will be your dentist, they don't like to tell you anything up front and may assign you to a dentist not in your network. I even went for a second opinion about these supposed problems o have with my teeth only to find out... Northview was wrong!! In my opinion they are just out to get people's money.... any way they can. Will not be coming back ever! read more

Absolutely the worse dentist office!! I got all four of my wisdom teeth pulled the first part of January. Of course I was nervous but I knew it was something that needed to be done. Plus my dentist was gone due to maturity leave, so the other dentist in the office would be performing my procedure. I had also been reassured that they would take good care of me and I have nothing to worry about. WORRY!! NOTHING BUT LIES!! The dentist was truly very rough with me during my procedure. At one point, I even tapped the nurse, Misty in there with me to let her know I could feel it and it was too rough. They still proceeded......I was given gas for my procedure by the way. After the procedure was over I paid over $700, they called in my medication, and I was taken home. I took my medications and laid down. I was even told that they would call to check on me. The first two days were fine that was until Monday afternoon. I could no longer open my mouth and I felt as if I was moving backwards. I called the dentist office expressing my concerns and they told me to come in. I came in and had to wait a while (even with them knowing my concerns and issues). Once I was finally called the nurse Misty stayed that they would take a look at me.....how I can't even open my mouth. Misty then looks at me and states that if I am going to refuse taking the steroid she did not know what else they could do for me. HOW RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL!!!! I was told that the dentist did like to proscribe the steroid to help with the healing process but if I did not want to take it due to gaining weight that was fine. Once Misty left the room I broke down in tears. I was left alone for over 10 minutes crying. Finally, someone I had never dealt with came into the room to speak with me. She was talking me into to taking the steroid and stating that if I did not take the steroid their was nothing else they could do for me. I would just have to let time go and things take its course. The dentist never talked with me once. I had lock jaw!!!! They ended up prescribing me the steroid, along with already taking antibiotics, pain meds, Tylenol and Ibuprofen. No one once again called to check on me to see if things were getting better. I had to once again called after hours to even speak with the Dentist. He once again assured me that he was personally stay in contact with me. ANOTHER LIE!! Misty ended up calling late on evening from her cell phone to check on me and one other time one of the receptionist called me to check on me. Far from the Dentist personally checking on me. I had to just endure, let time pass and trust a God to work everything out for me. It basically took a month and a half for me to truly get back to normal. I have never in my life been treated so horrible by a dentist office and I pray no one else is ever treated this way. Oh did I meant they had the nerve to send me a bill $179 and even called me about rescheduling my tooth cleaning since I had missed a cleaning (due to me having lock jaw). Who treats their patients this way NORTHVIEW DENTAL that is who. I even called this past week to speak with my Dentist to be told she never see back from her maturity leave. I asked to speak with the other Dentist because I had a lot of concerns about returning there after all I had been through and treated. The receptionist said she would leave a message for the Dentist to call me all for this other lady once again to call me. She is not the Dentist!! I have heard horror stories about ppl experience at Dentist but I honestly experienced it first hand. Don't ever go here they just want your money, they treat their patients like nothing at all and absolutely do not care about their patients. WORSE DENTIST OFFICE HANDS DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

After my dental appointment today I felt compelled to write a review for Northview Dental of Indianapolis. They always greet you the moment you have come into the office, offer a bottle of water and they make certain that I am in the dental chair in 5 minutes or less. The office is pristine, extremely clean and well decorated with the latest equipment and technology. Dr. Mathew Kavanaugh is always professional and he makes me feel confident in what he is doing. He always takes the time to answer all of my questions. I am very happy to have him as my specialist. The entire office staff are a kind and patient care oriented group and they take excellent care of me. Also, they are a cohesive group that you enjoy being around. They do care about their patients! Thank you Dr. Kavanaugh and your entire staff for your respect and care during my visits. read more

I first called the office 2 years ago to ask if they were in-network with my dental coverage. They told me they were and so I proceeded to schedule various appointments for my family members. It had been a while since we had dental coverage so I was a bit naive with how much things cost. One of my children has horrible teeth so I knew there were many fillings in store. They went over payment options and a care plan since it was about $1709 the first 6 month plan. I paid about $550 the first visit or 2 and another $700-$800 the next couple of visits. Then it was time for my other child and my husband to go. Same thing huge amounts for my husband with payment plans proposed. I couldn't believe how much dental work was. I was trying to stretch our insurance dollars so I called the insurance company to find out how much was remaining on our benefits. They pulled up the account and told me I had nothing left after the first visit it was used up.... I was confused. They said it was because it was out of network. What !!???? I called to verify and even checked with insurance. When I called Northview they said that only ONE of the dentists was in-network and the dentist and hygienist we saw were out of network. Um Hello. Why would I call to ask if you are in network and on that same phone call you schedule me with the one dentist that is OUT of network. They said the dentist was "in the process of becoming in network". I made them rebill everything in network and the result was they owned me all but about $200 of the $1500. I wish I could say it was fixed after that but literally the next visit we were checking out and they convinced me that I owed another $900 because our benefit maximum for the year had been reached .... she told me I had to pay at least half.....I insisted it was not correct and they were not billing the contract rates but I still let them charge $500 on my credit card. Sure enough as soon as I got home that day I called my insurance company and I was right we had not reached out max and once again they were trying to bill me out of network rates (which are ALOT more) so they had to refund my card again. Fast forward another 6 months and we go in for more fillings.....2 months later I get a bill for $550. I didn't pay because so knew it was wrong so they called me looking for payment. Again they said I maxed out the benefits for the year of course I knew I didn't and in fact we left about $200 on the table because we couldn't get in before the end of the year. She told me it was out of network because the hygienist was out of network. They were going to "do me a favor" and give me a "courtesy" to reduce my amounts to in network (what they should be ALWAYS). My new total $123 so I had them send an itemization and a new bill. The following week I get a nasty gram that they are sending my account to collections..... yeah ok. 2 weeks later I take my other child (with the good teeth) for a cleaning and on the way out they say that I owe $38..... why ? Well cleanings are only covered at 95% I said no they are covered at 100%. Well they supposedly just verified my benefit in June 1st yet I switched my other child to another dentist the prior week and that cleaning was covered at 100% so why the difference. Oh well wouldn't you know it they were once again billing out of network. I wonder how many people pay what they say and get screwed. I have literally had a billing issue every single time I've gone in. I don't have time this and my daughters new dentist gets it right so I will not being going back to Northview. read more

This was my first time there and the staff was amazing. Brandon at the front desk called me right away in regards to an email I sent them. Then Angie, not only did an amazing job cleaning my teeth, put also explaining all of their procedures without being asked. I greatly appreciate understanding their processes. Then after that Dr. Olivia was nice and personable. I felt like a person as their patient, and not just another person giving them money. I have lived all over the county, and this is the best dental experience I have ever had! read more
