The care quality from Dr. Hiple is unsurpassed (I had an injury on vacation that led to an abscess. Dr. Hiple also was on vacation... He and Molly came in off vacation to meet me. The location, equipment and convenience is outstanding (right near the Palladium but with their own plentiful parking). There is nothing negative about this place. They see every member of my family, nearly every one of my friends, and a ton of other people who've thanked me for the recommendation. The front desk staff are very friendly. The hygienist that I had was the nicest hygienist I've ever had. She was so friendly and explained a lot of things to me about dentistry and good dental hygiene that I did not know. Dr. Hiple is also very nice and friendly. He didn't act rushed when he came in to see me and sat and talked with me for several minutes. I had to get some fillings as well and my regular cleaning visit so I have been twice now. The staff was really great and eased my anxiety during my filling appointment as well.

Dr. Doug has been my dentist for longer than I like to admit because it emphasizes just how old I…read moream! He's had 3 locations and I always follow them to the new places. Staff is nice and helpful. Both dentists are very good and are always able to explain any procedure. Dr. Doug will work with insurance issues on my behalf if needed. After completing that day's procedure I was billed $140 "co-pay", which was paid at that time. Next thing I know, invoices and account statements with a balance due. Called several times and every time the same answer: "don't worry, we'll follow up with the insurance company ". After receiving another invoice/account statement over the weekend, I discussed the situation again with the office and was then when I was informed that my insurance didn't cover because they're "out of network ". I asked why wasn't I informed before. I would've canceled my first appointment and go to a closer practice who accepted my insurance plan. Had to pay today to close my account. Disappointing experience and would not recommend this practice to anyone. Lack of communication was obvious and not in the best interest of the patient. Costly bad experience.

I called Carmel Family Dentistry and was able to get an appointment within the next 6 weeks. Scheduling was a breeze - I was provided several different options, received a reminder text a week prior, and confirmation text the week of the appointment. They also verified my insurance and ensured everything was good to go for my appointment day. When arriving, they had all of my paperwork ready and I was taken back for service as soon as I finished. My hygienist, Missy, was very friendly and explained everything along the way. Dr. Worthington came in for the final check and she was great as well. She sat down and went over all of my X-rays in detail, explaining what she saw and sharing her recommended next steps. Thankfully he went to school with Dr. Alvarez so I felt comfortable finally transitioning my care. In short - he's the best. Everyone on staff is so friendly and helpful. I know this seems like a small thing but they even answer the phone all the time. I've had to make many medical calls recently and being on hold for 20mn is commonplace. So answering a call is a big thing to me these days! Nan is my hygienist and she's just lovely. I am amazed how she remembers the little things and details in my life. She always asks after my travels and my family. So kind! This morning I had to get a filing and Dr. Alvarez just went above and beyond. He took such care when I got my shot for the anestesia.
