Somehow, the appointment was changed to another date after my confirmation -- with no call, no explanation, and no notice. Impressive system. I drove nearly two hours in snowy weather and arrived on time, only to be told my appointment no longer existed that day. When I calmly showed proof and tried to explain, the staff's response was eye-rolling, visible impatience, and zero effort to help resolve an error that was not mine. I was left feeling dismissed, unwelcome, and frankly uncomfortable. I can't say why I was treated that way, but it's hard not to wonder whether appearance or background played a role when basic courtesy and professionalism disappear so quickly. When I asked for their names to document the incident, they refused and told me to leave. If accountability, communication, and respectful treatment matter to you, I'd suggest confirming things multiple times -- and maybe still prepare for surprises.

I have always hated going to the dentist, but since I have been connected with Dr. Arive, that has gone away. He is always gentle, thoughtful, and kind in every verbal exchange and while he is working on my teeth. I encountered a number of temporary office staff who were definitely lacking in skill and dedication. No one in the office ever introduced themselves or wore a name tag so It was difficult to determine who they were and what their role was in the office. For some reason even though I have dental insurance, very little of the work done was covered even though this had not been the case with my previous dentist. Patients were charged a whopping $20 PPE charge per visit on top of already very expensive dental charges. Dr Arive was probably a satisfactory dentist but the office was run so poorly I sought dental care elsewhere.

He did "complimentary" teeth whitening for me and my teeth got super sensitive during treatment it became pure horror. They still hurt once in a while out of blue. I called the doctor's office asked why I was charged extra $350? They said it was for x-rays. They never told me ahead of time they were going to charge x-tra. He said that everything was included in my $5000 fee. Their office space is like one big closet. Very little space. Only good thing about his practice, they had a good dental hygienist. That's about it.

However, I went back today and to my surprise they were very professional and my wait was not long. I spoke with two doctors,and asked a lot of questions they both explained everything and made be feel comfortable about the services I was having performed. Dr, Mukunda provided the service and she and her assistant was great and the prices were affordable. Unfortunate, the business department could use better training. One of the young ladies who was working on my bill insisted I pay for my services up front, now this was a first for me I never experience this at a doctor or dentist office. I asked if this was normal, beside I was using two different type of popular insurance coverage and my balance was only $236. She stated we have to do this because people don't pay before they leave I was shocked by her response and did not argue I paid, but still concern and not feeling comfortable about this process. It turned out the doctor did not have to do what she anticipated, therefore, the job was easier than she expected and she stated we will remove those charges from your bill at the end. As I was leaving I stopped by the front desk and stated I am due a refund and the young lady stated your insurance company will have to refund you we can't refund you anything back again in disbelief. I said you debited my credit card too early this is why you should have waited until the services was completed, so you would have known exactly what to charge me, now you have taken my cash and sharing with me I will have to wait for the insurance company to refund me. I went back they wanted to take an x-ray I asked why because the tooth is very lose and need to be removed, but I need to be on an antibiotic before the tooth is pulled due to my health reasons and the medication I am on. The nurse left then the doctor came in about 20 minutes and explained to me that is not how he does it, he stated he pulls the tooth and then puts the person on antibiotics. I explained to him I can not allow him to do that so then he wanted to look at the tooth, but he pulled out the tools with an attitude and I refused to let him do that so he told me to leave.
