Before the appointment, I spoke with the doctor about modifying one of the procedures to better accommodate my son's needs. She was incredibly understanding and assured me that they could absolutely make that adjustment. Unfortunately, the first hygienist was unable to complete the procedure, and another hygienist made me feel as though the accommodation I was requesting was unreasonable and that I was causing my son unnecessary stress. As his mother, I know my child's needs, triggers, and limitations better than anyone, so those comments felt dismissive and insulting. Thankfully, Kacey stepped in. She had worked with my son before and immediately approached the situation with patience, compassion, and understanding. She took the time to meet him where he was, handled him with such care, and successfully completed the procedure without adding to his anxiety. Most importantly, she treated both my son and me with respect. As a parent of a child with special needs, finding healthcare professionals who are willing to listen, adapt, and provide individualized care means everything. Kacey truly went above and beyond, and I am so grateful for her kindness, professionalism, and willingness to help when we needed it most. They couldn't see me that day, but I was first on the list the next Monday morning. Since then, I've invested in several root canals, crown work, and a tooth extraction there. The dentist's is one of my least favorite places to go. But Dr. Katie and her staff have helped me a lot. I appreciate their attention to detail. I like how well we communicate. Dr. Katie knows what she's doing, especially when things have gone wrong. Nothing comes cheap, and the office being closed on Wednesdays isn't ideal, but in all this is pretty much the first time I've ever had overall positive experiences dealing with a dentist.

I'm supposed to comment on office experience. I have little experience of the office. The people at the desk are polite, but I'm usually whisked off to the chair without any waiting in the office. Dr. K never runs late, and sometimes gets you in early if you are there early. Maybe I shouldn't say that-- I can't think of another dentist, doctor, or even vet who does that; it seems to be standard to run about 20 minutes late, so Dr. K may be going off script. Hmm. I think that takes care of all my prompts. Dr. K is great. I wish I had some unique words for her, but I don't. I'd be using them if I did, though, and that's not even a prompt.

Her hands are gentle and I've never experienced any pain or discomfort while in her care. Some people fear their dental visits, but mine is just another day because the process is always so smooth. I felt confident about my smile walking out the door. I have a nervous system disorder that makes me twitch, and they were very accommodating to my situation while remaining thorough. She used a slightly duller electric tool to do the deep cleaning/scraping that could have potentially injured me if she had used a sharper tool and I had twitched. She was very kind and supportive during mouth x-rays as well. The cleaning process was very easy and Amber showed great attention to detail in areas where tartar buildup was the worst. Dr. Huseman is a great guy, and he was very informative while showing me my x-rays and walking me through my future filling procedure. This place can get lost in its strip mall between the DMV and the Hobby Lobby, with the sign only saying 'Family Dentistry.' But make no mistake, these folks are top-notch and will alleviate your fear of going to the dentist. I do not reside in Noblesville and have traveled to him all these years due to his great service. When my child was born, I scheduled her to be a patient which she has been for the last 2 years. Throughout those years, his receptionist Anastasia has been rude and unprofessional when scheduling appointments with me as well as rescheduling appointments. When speaking with her she has a negative attitude, talks over me while I'm talking and rushes me off the phone. Almost as if she doesn't want us to be patients there. I requested to speak with Dr. Huseman, at his convenience, to discuss my experience with Anastasia and this request was denied. Although, we have given this dentist office years of support, they do not care about customer loyalty or customer service. I recommend better customer service, a customer care line, office manager, or the office record calls if no one is willing to accept constructive criticism or have difficult conversations. These could all be good strategic/measurement tools to use to prevent bad customer service and present bad customer service if it continues. Remember who you have on the frontline of your business is the most important because they represent you. If I can't be heard to discuss a complaint with a receptionist I know for a fact I won't be heard if there's a concern with my dental care. I no longer recommend this dental facility.
