I bought a Groupon and took my pickup into the Dent Shoppe. The add said "Bumper Repair".....the window at the shoppe says "Bumper Repair" but they do not work on metal bumpers is what I was told. Looking back on this, I should have called them first to see if my truck qualified for this Groupon deal. I'm giving them 3 stars because I think they should absolutely say on their add that they do not work on steel bumpers. I am also giving them 3 stars because they politely gave me a business card of the Bumperman who did come out to my place of business and repaired my bumper good as new in about 15 minutes! Groupon will not refund my money but are giving me Groupon Bucks into my Groupon Account for later use. My lesson learned: Buyer beware, if it sounds too good to be true yadda, yadda, yadda. Great work and friendly service! Had an ugly dent on the driver's door. First thing we noticed when we looked at our car. Dent Shoppe called yesterday (11/8) to make an appointment and we had a morning appointment today (11/9). Took less than an hour and we can't even find where the dent was. Group-on offered a $50 coupon for $200 worth of bumper work performed at the Dent Shoppe. Since it was a local business, I wanted to support it and see about getting some small dents in my mini truck bumper repaired. Showed up at the shop, Group-on coupon in hand and was immediately informed they don't work on metal bumpers. What??? " Only Plastic". Okay....the front bumper isn't dented, only scratched, how about repainting it, she offered. 10 minutes later, she hands me the estimate for $400 to repaint the front bumper. YIKES! $400 minus the $200 coupon plus the $50 I paid Group-on for the coupon = a hefty $250 to paint one little 90's mini truck front bumper. No thanks. In my humble opinion....it is very suspect when a $200 coupon suddenly doubles in price to cover the work.....hmmm..... Now they DID recommend a guy to repair the dents: Bumperman (916) 802-6305, which was a nice gesture. However, as a previous Yelp poster put it, they should very clearly state they do not work on metal bumpers. In this respect, their advertisements are deceiving. Needless to say, no business from me at the Dent Shoppe. I also tried to get my $50 refund from Group-on who informed me that the "fine print" states "does not include paint-less dent removal" even though on the Group-on advertisement in BIG BOLD print it clearly states Bumper repairs and paint less dent repairs. Besides, they couldn't even just remove the dents! Two lessons here: check with the business before buying any Group-on discount coupons and second.....get estimates from other shops, because there are many in the Sacramento area that are much less than the Dent Shoppe. read more

I have taken 3 different cars here over the years and have always been satisfied with the work and customer service. Owner Gabe even did me a favor once on a small ding for no charge! It is amazing what they can do with dents when you think that a body shop and paint are the "only solution" (they do have limitations, of course ;-). Not in love with the work they do. I scratched the front fender of my car and put a little wrinkle in it. They look at it and said they could get the wrinkle out and buff out most of the scratch except for and he pointed to a section about three quarters of an inch long this spot which is just too deep to buff out. They quoted me $200. That seems like a lot to me so I showed them a little pending on the right quarter panel by my gas cap. And said if they included this we had a deal. I looked at the schedule and pick a day when no one was scheduled so they can have it he originally told me it would take 2 hours. When I got there they got me in but they were busy there were a lot of cars that they had promises on and people waiting. I left my vehicle and went for a walk and came back in an hour figuring I would wait in their waiting room. They said no waiting your car is done. Unfortunately they said not much of the scratch came out. And I couldn't get to the ding by the gas cap. I left with my car but the more I think about it the more wrong it is. I thought I was going to be left with a scratch three quarters of an inch long but I'm left with one 6 in Long. I thought that they were going to remove the ding by the gas cap but they didn't. I was still charged $200 and they only had my car an hour. It feels like they rushed me in and out because they were too busy. I show on the bill that they gave me $50 for the rear ding and 150 for the front. I'm not sure why I got charged for the back one if it wasn't done and the front one wasn't done to the standards that I was told. I guess you live and learn. My wife did say that $200 seems like a lot for paintless dent removal this morning before I went under the circumstances it really does seem like a lot. read more

This is definitely the place to go when you get that one dent in your fender or bumper, and don't want to go the insurance route (deductibles + increased rates) or the body shop route ($$$$). We had a single but very noticeable dent in the rear gate of our SUV. He did an amazing job. If I didn't know exactly where the dent was I wouldn't be able to see it at all. You have to realize this is not a full on body shop/take it down/replace parts/spray it perfect kind of place, but for the money and what we were after, this was perfect. My wife and I own two relatively new Volvos, an S80 and V70 and we keep them in perfect condition, almost! A few weeks ago, while still jet lagged I backed my S80 into my wife's V70 which was parked in the driveway. The result was damage to the left side of my rear bumper and to the right front of the V70. Gabe and his team first repaired the V70----PERFECT! The Dent Shoppe comes to the office where I work every month for paintless dent repairs. Dan took care of a large dent from hitting a garage door. The dent is completely out and looks great to me. It turns out that the garage door scrape also damaged the pearlescent quality of the paint. Someone else could have easily "forgotten" to point out the remaining paint flaw (it's only visible from the right angle in the sun). But Dan was completely open about it and refused payment because he wasn't able to repair 100% of the damage, even though the car looks almost perfect to me. read more

I would go here again if I had to...which in a weird way, I hope I won't. I called this Shop and asked if they could pull a dent out of my older car, a Pontiac GTO 1966. He said bring it in because its hard to tell on old cars. The metal is thicker. Long of the Short, the owners name is Gabe and he got me right in and started working on the whole side of my car. After a lot of patience and time, he got them all out, I told him that it looked like a red mirror now. He gave me a great price and also told me to bring it back in if the dent comes back and he would fix it again for free. Got the car in and out in one afternoon. On Tuesday November 3, 2015, my husband & I picked up our 2013 Chevy Impala (Silver) LTZ. It was at the Dent Shoppe on Greenback in Folsom. To fix a dent on the bumper, small dent on the fender, and a small palm size scuff on the hood was $725. Gabe had said all three places would need to be painted, we agreed. Well, the bumper was partially repaired, the dent is gone, the buckling from the dent was never touched, the front fender was repaired and both were painted a slightly darker silver than the rest of the car. The hood where the scuff was has a really nice shine. Scuff is visible, no paint, but it shines. My bad I didn't observe these issues until I got home and my husband while we were there, thought it looked "okay.' The following is something that shouldn't even be an issue but it was sooo bad, I had to add this too. When I got into the car to leave, I couldn't sit down. No seat or mat covers were used for the interior. The driver's inside seat, steering wheel, side door had white dust all over, the driver's mat, side wall and running board were COVERED with this paint dust. Then I looked around, the entire ouside, including windows were also covered in overspray. I thought at first I left a very dusty car. I didn't! I went back inside to provide some positive feedback about the interior. The owner said, they (her son) is supposed to use mats and a mini vac to clean, but they don't have a mini vac and they must have forgot the mats. REALLY?? And she said, if they did, she would be the one that had to vacuum. I responded that I really wasn't concerned who had the job, my car is filthy from white dust, and when you called me to please come and pick it up a day early before 5, I expect it to be better than what I left it. So she said should would clean it. She did a fair job of cleaning, the mats were now white and pasty. When I arrived home, I looked further and that's when I noticed the "below average" work that had been done. I should have gone to Miracle Paint, who advertised $125 per bumper, and use interior mats. I won't call them back and I will not return, this pitiful attention to detail was a very expensive lesson. read more
