(Somebody with a too long 2x4 from Home Depot not paying attention as to where they were swinging their new board?) My loss, Crap! I've never been so excited to review a service - or so disappointed that a yelp page didn't exist yet! Matt is a friendly mobile car repairman specializing in dent repair. I hired him for a very reasonable price after getting a small dent on the hood of my car. My normal repair shop wanted to replace the entire hood for thousands, and a different guy in Sacramento asked for over $500. I got so lucky finding Matt's business card! Matt's operation works like this: You take a picture of your dent and text or email it to him. He'll message you back with a price estimate and set up a time to meet you at your house. He worked quickly, never budged from the estimate, and was exceedingly professional and polite. He even fixed my loose license plate for free! At the end, there was no sign of the dent left at all. I recently acquired an older Porsche that had collected its share of dings, dents, and battle scars over the years. The previous owner had hired a Bay Area PDR / B body Shop to perform work on some of the dings and the work was obviously poorly done as you could still see them when the light hit the car just right. I wanted these as well as some newer dings removed and I wanted the work done correctly. I asked around locally if anyone could recommend a good company for PDR work and Matt at Dentworks was mentioned twice as the person to go to. I understand why now. Not only did he remove all of the slight dings and dents but he corrected the badly done work that had previously been performed on the car. I can't see ANY of the previous dings and dents that had been there. To top it all off? Dentworks prices were amazingly good for the quality of the work that was done. Matt was professional, showed up on time, was prepared, and had the repairs finished quickly and far better than I could have hoped for. We all know what it's like when we need to have our autos worked on and we are hiring someone new for the first time and hoping they are more than competent and won't try and rip us off or over charge. 1st Impressions - It took an email, text message, and finally a phone call to Matt to get a response. In speaking with him, we set an appointment for 2 days later. He requested photos of the body work (which I had sent previously) and took 2 minutes to reply saying I needed a body shop. I had already been to a body shop and they referred me to him saying most were an easy fix... I admit there was one dent above the door on a main support that was probably not serviceable, but the others certainly were. He dismissed my request completely and told me "I'm not interested in doing the work but thanks for inquiring". I told him I would go with the competition and he indicates "I picked up on your attitude and that's why I cancelled on you". This is terrible customer service without having even seen the vehicle. I sent the same photos to a local competitor and they scheduled me an appointment indicating most were repairable and they weren't sure why another company wouldn't want my business. You have a lot to learn Matt and I suggest when a 5-Star body shop refers you business, that you at least take that into consideration before dismissing someone's inquiries as rudely as you did. You act like a kid operating out of your mom's garage looking for beer money. read more

The work was fantastic, and I cannot see where the damage was, except where it needs painting also Matt showed up on time, and finished after four hours. Matt did a phenomenal job on my 2014 Highlander! It was like watching an artist paint and being proud of the work of art he did. I had a small ding about the size of a quarter from a door hit. I got a quote from a autobody repair shop of about $600 to fix and repaint the door, which would never be the same as the factory paint. The body shop Moore Brothers Autobody in Woodland highly recommended Matt (dentworksmatt.com). I made an appointment, Matt showed up on time (he even came to my work in Davis, CA) and in less then a half hour he was done for 20% of what it would have cost at the body shop.
