Alex did a great job fixing my CRV. As a result of bashing into a concrete post, my front right fender was bent and misaligned with the trim over the wheel well. Another dent fixer responded that he would not be able to fix it. Alex had fixed a dent on my Aerostar about 10 years ago so I contacted him. He was able to detach the fender and the trim around it, straighten out the body piece, and re-align and re-attach all the parts so it's impossible to tell there was ever dent. Alex is FANTASTIC! Excellent service and communication, and truly went above and beyond. I found him on Yelp when it was a rainy day, and I stupidly backed into a pole (don't ever just rely on your rear view camera!), causing a small but noticeable pole-shaped dent in my bumper. I was super pissed at myself because my car is barely a year old. The auto body shop I usually go to quoted $800 to remove my bumper and make it "factory quality." I e-mailed Alex photos of the damage via his website, and he got back to me the next day by e-mail, before any of the other guys I had contacted on Yelp did. He came out to where I worked in Union City during my lunch break and was able to pop the dent out in 20 minutes - you seriously couldn't tell it was ever there! There was just one little crack along the seam of my bumper that he advised I should buy touch-up paint for. He e-mailed me the exact link to the paint I should buy ($15 on Amazon), and I met him the next week at a body shop in Berkeley on a Saturday so he could apply the touch-up paint for me and do a few more things to the bumper. It already looked great to me, but he told me he was a perfectionist. He even washed and buffed my car out for me! The work in total cost me $200. Honestly if I didn't point out the touch-up paint to you, you probably wouldn't even notice there had ever been a problem. Alex is a truly honest guy - he will tell you if he is able to do the work, and whether it is worth it or not. While he was at my work place, he looked at some of my other co-workers' cars upon their request, and told them that he could do the work, but that it would be cheaper for them to try other solutions, such as replacing the part from a pick-and-pull. I have Alex saved in my phone now for the next time I stupidly hit my car on something. His services are perfect for cosmetic imperfections on your car that bother you every time you look at your car and get sad remembering what happened! I called him Wednesday asking if he could take out this hard to reach and quite tough dent and take off the rust and put touch up paint on it. So I got this very nice Mercedes, and as luck would have it, three days later some prick in a mall parking lot puts a nice big dent in its fender. You can imagine how ticked off that made me. Well, I went and got a couple of estimates for it, all ranging $200-350 with no guarantees. The thing was that the dent was a sharp crease right on the ridge of the rear wheel well - a very tough area to repair because there is just no access, so everyone tells me they have to drill an access hole and then fill it in after. Then I called Alex at Dent Mender on a recommendation. He has a great estimating process: just take a picture of the dent and send it over for a quote. He told me that this would indeed be a hard dent to remove because, yes. it was a sharp crease and there is no good access from beneath to push it out.
