He is a miracle worker. He took out 2 dents in 45 minutes, while I waited. He even buffed out the scratches! I asked him about what to use to buff out my car, because he slides that as well, and he gave me a lot of great advice and where to buy my supplies. He is an early riser, and did my car at 6:00 am and was done by 6:45. His price was the cheapest of 3 places I got quotes from, including Emergency Dent Service and Dent Genius. If you are on the west side. EDS gets 5 star reviews as well, and seems more than capable. They were removing hail damage for a new dealer Lincoln when I went there. Doug is not there to make any friends, he takes out dents and other minor body and paint work. If you are sensitive or have personality issues, go somewhere else and pay more. read more

I give Dent Eliminators 10 Stars. They were $997 less expensive than two other " recommended & reputable" collision shops. One local, one in Sterling Heights. Done in two days. Service was outstanding. Repair was flawless. Three years of insurance increases - Nope! read more

Don't let Doug's initial mannerisms fool you; he's truly a great man who takes care of everyone of his customers his way. That is to say that he wants everyone to walk away knowing they saved a ton of money and got a top repair. I couldn't recommend him more. He might seem rough around the edges at first, you have to earn his trust, but remember, at the very least, that it's superb and fast auto repairs, not a dating game. This holds true anywhere. I could not have appreciated he and his work more. read more

"Mr. Nice Guy" at Dent Eliminators does GREAT work! You just need to be prepared for his conversation style. I don't take my car there for lip service. I take my car there because of his expertise. His prices and work are top notch. read more

Great place to get minor dings and dangs in the sheet metal of your vehicle repaired. It's a lot cheaper and turns out just as well, if not better, than a bump shop would do by bumping and painting the whole section. Appointments are made and kept, and in many cases the vehicle is fixed while you wait. read more

Doug has removed dents and scrapes from my van several times over the past few years. He and the lady who he works with are very efficient and courteous. Prices he charges are also very reasonable. These folks are very honest and up front. read more

Doug is priceless. Their work is great quality and is reasonably priced compared others.

I would give dent eliminators a 10+ if the rating system would allow. They check all the boxes, and then some. Beautiful job. Car looks like new. Fast service. More than fair prices. Hard to find an honest businessman like Doug these days. Can't say enough good things about him and the job he did. read more

Took our car here after a local body shop recommended. The owner is very rude. They failed to fix two dents on the roof (fallen tree debris from a storm). We got our car back with clear coat scratches around the two still existing dents. He was nice enough to not charge me. Later once in the sun, we realized the scratches. The car is worse than it was before we took it in. DO NOT GO HERE!!! read more

Great job Doug! Very experienced, honest and professional. He said to come at 9am on a Saturday and he would have taken 45min to fix. So he did, no waiting, good chat and great results. All for only 45$. I really don't understand some bad reviews: this guy is a busy man, a one-man-show. I can understand he doesn't always have time to joke around. I can tell he is everything but rude. I attach a before/after picture of the job he did on my brand new Maserati Levante GTS read more

Dent Eliminators - Before/after - Body Shops Near Me - Royal Oak, Michigan

Car people... please read. My review is very situational. The sitiation: I brought my mustang here to get fixed. Low speed impact in the rear causing cosmetic damage to the bumper and snapping it back in place. One 2.5 inch by 2 inch dent that was in the crease of a body line in the front side wheel fender. The dealership quoted $700 just for the dent on the fender. The results: The bumper was fixed. Body gaps and paint look like nothing ever happened. The dent in the crease was fixed for $65. I can tell work has been done because when the light hits that area, the reflextion is different than other areas. If you are close to the area and focus on it, you can tell it has been worked. Many people don't notice it, but I do. But for $65, expectations were exceeded. My car was done in less time than the quote to finish. Summary: For the price, this place more than delivers. If you have critical eye, there are some repairs that you would bring here and maybe some you wouldn't. read more

I couldn't be happier Dent Eliminators! I was rear ended at a stoplight and was not looking forward to dealing with a collision shop or the cost of repairs. Thankfully a friend recommended this local business. Doug is honest, doesn't try to add on unnecessary services, and doesn't gouge on prices. I would encourage anyone and everyone to go to him! In fact, my husband's car will be heading there soon to repair a small ding and scratch. read more

Our car got a parking lot ding when the wind blew open the door. Doug fixed it in 10 minutes for much less than our comprehensive deductible. The before and after pictures tell the story best. read more

The guy answering the phone is rude. I guess he has more work than he needs because I can't believe anyone would bring a vehicle here after being talked to the way he does. read more

The work on my car is satisfactory, but I was very disappointed to pick up my car smell like smoke. The backseat was folded down and the radio station was changed and there were empty candy wrappers about. None of these were necessary to repair the car. Doug is unreliable and sadly ageist. I went in back in JANUARY for a quote on my Ford Escape. He gave me a great price, and said that if we could find some parts that he needed, he would lower it even further! This sounded great! I went out and found a few possible parts, but not all. I gave Doug a call telling him that I found a few parts in late January, and that we just needed a few more. He said he would look for the rest of the parts, and call us when ready. Soon, it was April, and I had not heard from this man. I went back to his office in April (3.5 months after we got the quote) to ask how things were coming along. He laughed when he saw me and said "really? You're back?" . I believe that Doug never wanted to do business with me in the first place, because of my appearance and age. He literally asked me "did you win the lottery?" As if asking how I was going to pay for this! He probably thought that I was unreliable and some 'bad' teen who wouldn't pay him. Not to mention.... the communication is HORRIBLE! And his dry sense of humor? It's not humor, it's just how he views you! Thanks for wasting 5 months of my time Doug, I'm glad I didn't give you my money. read more

Doug did his usual, masterful job correcting some rust/paint issues on my '01 Boxster. After he worked his magic, the car looked better than when it rolled down the line. Thank you Doug! read more

Doug does great work in a timely manner. He is a no nonsense guy with many years of experience.

I say without exaggeration: I couldn't possibly recommend any business higher. The quality of work was superior, and the cost was jaw droppingly low. I had at least 2 dozen dents, dings and scrapes the length of both sides of my Outback accumulated over the course of several years. Most were the result of parking lot damage from other cars or shopping carts, or of my misjudging my garage door like an idiot (I'm not proud). The damage was very noticeable, especially to me, and really bugged me for a while. I stopped for an estimate. Although it was extremely busy, it only took a few minutes during which some the scrapes were actually rubbed out before any business had been transacted. I scheduled an appointment within a week. Dropped my car in the morning and it was done before lunch. My car looks like new. When I was given the final price, I had to ask if it was correct because I really didn't think I was being charged enough. I would have paid triple without batting an eye and gone away very satisfied. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. read more

Took my outback there to get what appeared to be minor damage to the rear bumper. I told him the blind spot alert wasn't working knowing the sensor under the bumper was misaligned. The bumper was replaced and appeared flawless but when I checked before leaving the blind spot alert was still not working. He said he was too busy and i decided to take it to the dealer. After working on it the dealer removed the new number and found structural damage hidden beneath the new bumper. If the blind spot wasnt working I never would have known. What started as a reasonable 975 dollar repair turned into 4000 dollars. I ended up turning it into an insurance claim, but knowing the damage was masked and I was driving an unsafe car sure doesn't make me happy. read more

I was recommended to Doug at Dent Eliminators today by a body shop. The body shop quoted me $500, but said I should see if Doug can do it. It literally took Doug 1 hour and he charged me $75 completely removing the dent. It's a leased car so I didn't want to have to pay when I turned the car in. Doug was a pleasure to work with, he did great work, and he didn't mind me hanging out with him while he worked on my car. We had a really nice conversation and I even learned a little watching him work. I can't believe how quickly he completed this job and he did great work. I highly recommend him. read more

I don't even know where to begin. Thought I would give this place a shot and went in with the simple intention of receiving an estimate/quote for a repair (exterior mirror) I needed done. DOUG, the OWNER, was extremely unpleasant to deal with and left me with the most vile taste in my mouth. Not only did he seem to get angry when I said I needed to call my father (it was his vehicle) to confirm some things, and was astonished I said I wanted to get another opinion and might take it over to a different shop. He talked down to me, made me feel uncomfortable, and essentially, tried to take advantage of me because I came in as a young girl. If I would have come in with my father or even my boyfriend, Doug would not have acted the way he did, I can promise you that. I am appalled ANYONE would give this "establishment" their money, time, or energy. Doug, if you are reading this - Please seek help. And also, pull up your pants, the entire time I could see your crack. I wanted to give you my business but you shoved it in my face and now you are left with a plethora of negative reviews. I will be warning everyone I know to not step foot in this place. An absolute garbage experience. read more

Some may find the owner a little "unfriendly ". But I found him to have a vet dry sense of humor...and who cares anyway. I wasn't looking for a friend. I found a guy providing a great, fast, inexpensive service. THAT'S what I was looking for and he's very good at all three. read more

This man works magic! He eliminated two small dents in the side of my Mustang in approximately a half hour's time, and for an amazingly low price. Body shops will charge hundreds of dollars for the job Doug can do for a fraction of the price. Sure, he might be perceived as a bit gruff at first (what great auto mechanic isn't?) but I found him friendly and engaging as he explained his process and even recommended a car cleaning product to me. Doug will be my go-to guy for any other dings life throws my way. Thanks a million Doug!!! read more

If you're into verbal abuse and being treated like you suck - this is the place. Doug is beyond rude. Rude would have been a welcomed behavior. As for his work? It "wears off". If you're turning it in right away it might pass lease turn in inspection. I think people take his crap because 1) he's a big guy 2) they have issues around abuse and think they deserve his abuse. It's almost surreal - like "really this guy is talking to me like this?" I went back to have him look at some work he did (he wouldn't even look at it) and he admitted it "wears off". Just wax it he said, "I don't have time today", as he turned his back and walked inside his building. One of the things he fixed still looks good but that was a bumper he sent out to another bump shop to have fixed. You'll find people defending his behavior in reviews but those are the same people that would defend their child abuser. It may seem a strange thing to say but for those that experienced abuse as children they'll know exactly what I mean. Forget this guy is what I think. People shouldn't treat people like this. and to be clear I had originally google reviewed him fairly well, in essence defending him as I looked for the good. But I had to do a gut check today and see him for what he is - a bully, an abusive individual. AND NO! one man shop or not, overworked or not, people should treat people with respect. read more

Does anyone know of someone else who can fix my door dings? Sorry I just can't take this guy anymore. I always have my dings fixed, but surely there is someone else? This guy does good work, if you can take what you have to go thru with the attitude before he does the work. I dread going there so I'm done... he's like the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld. - update 9/16, due to the response from the owner, I am changing my rating of this business to 5 stars. He does, in fact, do very good work. read more

Doug did a fantastic job. Reasonably priced. Amazing how ow good my car looks after he finished.

I will start with the ending - Doug did what he said he would do, for the amount quoted and within the time he committed to. The rest - I had left the hatch up on my wife's Equinox and had the garage door close. The results were a scratched-up hatch and an unhappy wife. I took the vehicle to Doug who got to me quickly, giving me his quote and telling me what he'd do. He said he needed the vehicle for 2 to 3 days, and I could drop it off the following Monday. While I wasn't sure the price was competitive, the fact he had two repeat customers in his shop, both of whom spoke highly of his work convinced me to just go for it. The end result is my wife is happy with the job, I'm out of the doghouse, and I'll go see Doug again if I need work done. read more
