I've been drink Yerba mate for a couple of years now so I wanted to expand into Japanese tea. I didn't know anything about it or what I needed and Den came through, helped me out, and set me up with everything I needed. Even made me a cup of yuzu tea to try it out and it was delicious! Great costumer service, definitely will be coming back.

Ask the Community - Den's Tea

Is your office like a shop, where im able to browse and ask questions?

Hi Ardee. Thank you for your question. We are actually a tea distributor, but you are more than welcome to call us and ask questions. Usually, when people come to visit us, it is because they have placed an order for pick up.

If I visited your office would I be able to sample your teas?

We do not have a tasting room and, unfortunately, we cannot offer tea sampling.

Can I order gift items at your office?

You can order gift items but it takes even longer than a regular order to prepare, so we ask that you order online ahead of time.

If I came to your office, could I order while I was visiting the office?

You can order while visiting our office but it may take a while to assemble your order. This is why we recommend that you order online ahead of time.

It was difficult to find your office, any advice?

Sorry to hear it was difficult to find our office, we try to make it as easy for people to find us. Consequently, we have a statue of our mascot, Den-chan, that we put outside of our front door to help make it easier to find us. On our Yelp page,… Read more

Do you guys only sell tea or do you sell tea pots as well?

We not only sell tea but offer a variety of tea wares such as tea pots, utensils for making matcha such as chasen (matcha whisks), chashaku (matcha scoops), matcha bowls etc. All of these items and more can be found on our website (www.denstea.com)

Are you guys a cafe or tea shop? If so, can I stop by and sample teas?

Hi David. Thank you for your question. While it might appear so, we are not a cafe or tea shop. We are a tea distributor and also online shop. If you'd like to buy tea from… Read more

Suddenly we're inside and she's ordering coffee like it's a survival necessity. Honestly, respect. The coffee smell alone? 12/10 nose experience. Now let's talk about the breads. They are... SQUARE. I don't know why this is important to hoomans, but apparently it is because they SELL OUT ALL THE TIME. Suspicious. Highly pupular. I have concluded these breads must be extremely delicious, even though I have been cruelly denied a full scientific taste test (I got crumbs. I remember. I will never forget). The staff? Very friendly to us pups. No weird vibes. Solid ear-scratch energy. They pass the sniff test. The vibe: Very Japanese-inspired. Clean, cozy, minimal. I don't fully understand it, but I did feel like I went on a quick international trip without leaving my leash radius. One moment I'm in California, next moment I'm a worldly pup. AND--big bonus--there's a little front patio where I can sit like the distinguished pupper I am and watch the traffic on Pacific Coast Highway. Nothing like enjoying the view of fast-moving cars while waiting for bread I cannot legally eat. The irony is not lost on me. Final verdict: Great coffee (according to mawm), mysterious square breads (according to the entire hooman population), and a pup-approved hangout spot. Would return. Would stare at bread again. Would try to negotiate for more crumbs.

Definitely try to go earlier because they sell out of things (I went around 1pm and they sold out of a few things). - The vibe of the place was soooo cute, nice, and clean. They really used the space well with all the seating and outdoor area. - There is a small parking lot up the hill behind the building. - all the staff except the barista that day were super nice! - plain iced latte with oat milk was solid. Not mind blowing but still good. Room for improvement: - the drinks were very mid and not worth the price (basically $9). I'm sure the quality of matcha powder is exceptional; however, the ratio to milk was very off and it was so milky you could barely taste the matcha. The barista that day was kind of rude to the customer in front of me and when I asked a question about their Hot Drink Tokyo Fog, he brushed off the question and shortly replied it was an iced tea. - there's a bottleneck at the cash register because of the workflow. The register person takes orders, cashes out, cleans and refills the trays, wraps each of your baked goods, and probably more. So there ends up being a longer wait there even if you're only grabbing 1 baked good, I ended up waiting a lot longer than I thought I would. I would come back for the hot food and baked goods if I'm in the area. Excited to see them grow!

*** Cards only - no cash establishment ***…read more La Terraza is a family-owned local & food-focused coffee shop in Redondo Beach opened in 2020. This coffee shop is in partnership with a sister cafe called La Terraza Cafe located in the City Terrace area of East Los Angeles. [Parking]: Street parking only, but I had no issue finding a nearby spot. [Ambiance]: The coffee shop has a monthly pop-up bookstore (Moonstone & Mist) on the last Friday of each month at the storefront (check their Instagram page for more info). There are five tables and one sofa inside the shop and seven outdoor tables. The space has a nice and cozy atmosphere with soothing background music from Rod Stewart and The Rolling Stones. There is one unisex restroom. [Menu]: The top highlighted dishes are French Toast, Breakfast Burrito, and Avocado Toast. I asked the staff about popular drinks and the horchata latte was recommended so I went with it. They serve coffee from La Colombe Coffee Roasters. They also offer various Mexican-inspired drinks like café de olla, Mexican mocha, and matcha de olla. *** Breakfast Burrito ($10.50 - Avocado $2.50 + Bacon $2.00): The filling had a crunchy texture from the bacon which was nice. The salsa had an a-okay flavor profile, but it had the right amount of heat. Horchata Latte (hot 12 oz, $6.75): The drink was quite good with just the right amount of sweetness. *** A solid 4.5-star on latte and a 4-star on breakfast burrito. Overall this is a nice 1st date spot in Redondo Beach as the beach walk is only two blocks away.

Located on the corner of PCH and avenue C, Phanny's has been a staple in the breakfast burrito game. I have been coming here years ago, but have not been in a min. Welp, I had an urge to get a breakfast burrito and Phanny's is the first place that will come to mind. I ended up ordering a bacon, sausage egg breakfast burrito with diced jalapeños. PHEWWWW. Wow Phanny. You did it again girl. WOW. 5 big booms all AROUND. There is no salsa needed. The flavor from the meat is enough. The perfect amount of saltiness, the perfect tortilla, the right amount of meat to egg ratio. This burrito did it for me. The added jalapeños add that extra spice and crunch. I love crunchy texture so the jalapeños def hit that need for me personally, and plus its a nice kick to it if you like spicy! Just do yourself a favor and try Phanny's out. Service was swift and kind. They are fully takeout only. I am unsure if this was a conversion after COVID or not, but it's a little sad to see you are not able to enjoy their breakfast burritos fresh and hot there. I believe there is only 1 outside bench seating off Avenue C. They do take apple pay, which I feel like they did not in the past. so no cash needed! There is a parking lot being the business off avenue C which is nice so you do not need to park on PCH or in the neighborhood to try to get to this business. I will def be coming back to Phanny's soon. Unfortunately no pictures because I scarfed it down. its one of those, love at first bite. it was our honeymoon night and I devoured the burrito. no crumbs left behind. no ketchup or salsa required.

The sausage was slightly too salty for my taste. * Carne asada burrito ($14.75): This is definitely the one to get - amazing carne asada and a soft wrap. The price-to-portion ratio is a bit too high to come here regularly, but it is still a solid staple for anyone looking for an above-average breakfast burrito in the South Bay.

The olives are like a teaspoon scoop and I asked for no feta as I am dairy free and there was still feta inside. Unfortunately, I didn't have the energy to ask to fix it.
