This is more of a question. I'd like to line what happened to the good deals you used to be able to get at Denny's? I went with my granddaughter a few weeks ago I had silver dollar pancakes and side of sausage and coffee. She had an omelet and lemonade (I think) the bill was 24$ not including tip. Food was good. Served hot, and quickly. Table was not set for 3 people after we were seated (there was 3 of us). Waiter was not rude, but wasn't as friendly as what would be expected at Denny's. read more

Simple put it is what you would expect from a Denny's. Except for the service, our waitress seemed distracted and did not come by once after the food was brought to ask if we needed anything. Had to ask for a refill for coffee twice since it took her 10min to come back. Pancakes were very good. read more

My friends got food poisoning here, and a few others I know got salmonella. Enough said.

Denny's has its late night charm, it truly is the only place open in the Warwick area 24 hours that I know of. Food is normally spot on. I went there last night after some drinks and the french toast was delicious. When you go to Denny's at 2am 90% of the patrons there are under the influence of something. That being said it is normally a pretty crazy place at night. Severs there are normally pretty nice but the guy we had last night was a bit off. He did an ok job but had no personality what so ever and answered everything with yup. Being personable goes a long way for me. I understand what they must put up with in there on a Friday night but still come on guy I'm being very polite with my please and thank yous you can try a little harder. All of that aside we did not have to wait for a table which was a plus, food order was taken in a timely manner and food came to my table quickly, it was hot and just what I was craving after a night out. It is a chain diner, nothing overly fancy but it gets the job done. I wouldn't really go out of my way to go there however it is a great stand by when you need a local late night to early morning meal. T hey serve all sorts of bad for you diner food not just breakfast so you have options and variety is the spice of life. So go out, get drunk, sober up at Denny's that is what they are good at and good for. read more

My family and I went here on Mother's Day for brunch the wait was at least 1 hour to sit down and when we did we ordered our food and drinks the drinks came very quick and after another 30 min my mom finally got her fruit cup but it took almost another hour to get our food and it was cold but the waitress was nice and very friendly but she forgot who got what until we told them read more

Went for brunch on Mother's Day. The air conditioning was turned on very high and the restaurant was cold. Took over 30 minutes to be seated and almost 2 hours to get our food. Food was good though would come again but not on a holiday or with a reservation. read more

Yesterday night seeing how late it was , and the size of the group we decided , hey! Why not Denny's ? Glad we came! Our waiter Bristol was attentive , friendly and remembered our orders without any trouble. Let me remind you, we were a group of 9. Our food was delicious and came out fast. Everyone enjoyed the meals and were full to the point our pants were ready to pop. The Oreo blaster milkshakes are just so creamy, and full of real Icecream and many crushed Oreos! Just drank the whole thing so quickly. Denny's never will let me down! Things are group got: hamburger w/French fries, tilapia w/ garlic bread and red skin potatoes, sirloin steak w/rice , potatoes and garlic bread, the T-bone steak breakfast comes with the T-bone steak , eggs, potatoes and bacon, the next meal was a double hamburger(the hamburger was huge, the double was ginormous!) comes with fries, pancakes, French toast breakfast comes with eggs, bacon potatoes and French toast, the next meal was fajitas (can't recall what kind they were), and then someone got chocolate chip pancakes. I came to this eatery at 6 am on a quiet Sunday morning as we were in need of a break from our drive. My wife and I were greeted by an employee by the name of John. This young man was so bright and cheery on our early morning stop. The service he gave was awesome as he was attentive to our order and my coffee cup. The food was very good and the pancakes were delicious. On my next trip to the New England area I will be sure to stop by again at this Denny's in Coventry. read more

If your in the mood for breakfast at any hour of the day then you go to Denny's. It's open late night and offers breakfast even at 11 at night. It's great for those after party places if you have a craving for some breakfast with friends. I went with some friends a while back and we had a great time. Do not normally eat Dennys but had a craving probably because I was pregnant. Waited at the front with my daughter for a min or two before someone greeted us. When you are pregnant and hungry that is FOREVER. Food was good took awhile to get to the table. They were stingy with the syrup. Oh and I ordered an extra side of hashbrowns and only got the first order. The server knew I was going to notice and as soon as she sat the plate down said I was told this was a double order. I have eaten at dennys enough to know what a regular side is so why do you think I asked for a double... Duh... Ugh and of course I got charged for the side I did not get. read more

Food is always warm! My cousin and i come here all the time for quesidillas and occasionally hush puppies... When the hush puppies get to the table all you hear is "hush " because we are too busy enjoying our 1.99 hush puppies :) So good! Nom nom nom! read more

This Denny's was my favorite haunt; group dinner with friends, working on my writing on a laptop late at night, etc. The food is good, prices are fair but the waitstaff are *awesome* and what kept me coming back. It all started with their rather new "no substitutions" policy and went down hill from there.Overcooked, rubbery scrambled eggs on both plates were a huge turn off, while the anemic looking rubbery and tasteless hash browns certainly did nothing to bolster my confidence, either. My clearly microwaved to death biscuits and gravy fit perfectly with the less than stellar overall experience. My dining companion experienced totally rubbery and under-flavored pumpkin pancakes to add to the unpleasantness. Compound the experienced with rubbery bacon and sausage served by a grumpy waitress, sighing audibly at my request for more coffee and a take-out box for our leftovers and it was a heavily overpriced nightmare. We used to eat here once or twice a month, but as the quality and value have declined, we have visited less and less. This experience may well have been our last visit. The place was 99% empty when we arrived and the pace picked up to maybe 4 tables occupied by the time we left in disgust. Clearly other diners have turned away from Denny's as we will be doing and I find it difficult to understand how this location is still open. read more

Jeni our waitress was a pleasant help in this very busy restaurant. I believe that a crowded place is often an indication that it is a well liked place. We liked it. It is worn, but like good shoes, worn well. The breakfast was average, which is OK with us. We love breakfast. I never comment on these posts but here it goes. My boyfriend and I had gone to denny's about two weeks ago. It was around 11:30p.m. hardly anyone there on a weeknight. We sat down the waitress gave us our menu's I ordered coffee and he ordered strawberry banana drink and a coffee. Well we got the coffees,we ordered our food and everything went down hill from there. He never got his strawberry banana drink. We never got a refill on the coffee she didn't give us syrup for our pancakes and oh yeah we had to ask for silverware she was very forgetful. We just figured she had a bad night no big deal. So we go again tonight .Low and behold we get the same waitress. She greeted us kindly. Took our order I ordered a diet coke and boyfriend ordered a coffee and strawberry banana drink. Well she brought the two drinks, then we ordered. He ordered the grand slam, I ordered the American diner ch.burger. she asked me if I wanted the onions on it I said yes. Well make a long story kinda short. Lol. My boyfriend never got his coffee he got shorted his toast quote the waitress said she( was trying to make it cheaper for us) we were confused as the toast came with the meal. He ordered 4 extra eggs on the side and got another short stack of pancakes. I never got my American diner cheese burger. She asked me so you don't want anything? Duh you just asked me if I wanted onions on my burger. So I had to wait for my cheese burger and my boyfriend was already eating. We were both confused. It was around noon time at the dennys restaurant on quaker lane. Anticipating a good breakfast & lunch(which my friend was getting) we walked into a very busy restaurant. Being told it was going to be only a 5-10 minute wait, we decided we would wait. Not being able to win the claw machine in the corridor was upsetting.. But right when i finished loosing we sat at our table. The waitress (whom did not state her name) seemed like she was trying to push tables out.. Giving their check at the same time as delivering their food.. We waited almost an hour for our meals, only to see our food being brought to another table. When she realized her mistake, she picked up the plates of food & proceeded to try to deliver them to our table. We told her we were not accepting the plates because we seen her take them from the other table. She began to argue saying they were cooked separately & it would be a longer wait to get 'new' plates made. My friend & i demanded to speak to a manager only to be told'she cant talk for a long time because it is so busy.' annoyed, we left the restaurant very upset. We then tried calling dennys to talk to the manager again only to be put on hold for a while then being told the manager cant talk. The server was extremely rude, I will not be returning. Now we are happily dining at Cowesett Inn, our meals ready quickly, great service and food. read more

i never have felt so disrespected!! My visit at Dennys did not go well. When I first walked in they had half the place shut down and everyone cramped on the other side. We asked the waiter after she took our order if we can move because it was to noisy. She said no because they were training someone and didnt want to be running around every where . so after she gave us are drinks we decided we were going to cancel half the order and get the rest to go. She said thats fine and a few mins. later the manager walks over and tells us "we are paying for the whole thing because its already made" he was so unprofessional and came off completely rude. I was so surprised and pissed off at his response i told him we are paying for the drinks and leaving. he then left and told us "the foods done and we are to pay for it". When i walked over to check out he was on the phone with the police saying we were going to walk out on the bill. i have never in my life felt so embarrassed. while waiting for the police he then gave us the food and told us to leave. I refused because i didn't want him to say i walked out with out paying and i didn't even want the food. the police came and said i should call corpt. I ended up paying for a order i didnt even eat and dealing with the most rude and ignorant person i have ever met.!!! read more
