With my expectations of Denny's food low. I have considered that for my rating. The one star is for poor even on Denny's standards. I had to ask four times for Tabasco, beg for coffee and waited forever to have my order taken. The cook had no idea what over medium was for eggs. It's a peeve of mine when they aren't right and his weren't even over easy with broken yolk. The bacon small and the ham dry. Even for a Denny's it was poor. The place was also only 1/3 full. People were nice but I didn't really know who was our server and it took really long for our meals which the waitress that took our order said we were the only ones waiting for our meal so it would be quite quick. Finally our food came out and I had to send my burger back due to miscommunication with the waitress meanwhile I'm starving and it shouldn't have taken half an hour to fix my order. Kept having to ask for things over and over because the server forgot or decided to tend to another table instead of helping us. I have not eaten at Denny's in over two years. But last night at the SeaTac Denny's. I had one of the best dining experience's of my life. Sammi was my waitress. And she is the nicest and most kind person you'll ever meet. This Denny's was very clean and the bathrooms were very clean as well. If you're in the SeaTac Washington area. I highly recommend you visit this Denny's. It is right outside the La Quinta hotel. And right next door to Jack in the box. When you get there. Ask for Sammi. Great food and great service. read more

SUPER SLOW. Normally the waiter comes to the table a couple of minutes after you sit down, our waiter didn't come for like 20 minutes. When our food came, we still didn't have silverware. Everyone knows what Denny's is, so the 5-stars is obviously not for the food, but... This particular Denny's was a pleasant surprise. I haven't been to a Denny's in many years, and was skeptical at first, but this place has a lot of good things going for it. In short, it was very walkable (1/4mi) from the terminal during my layover, they're open 24hrs, it was very clean inside, the food quality has certainly gone up, service was very fast, prices were great, options were plentiful, and the staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive! Worst place to eat ever. Took them over an hour to get our food. The people behind us got their food first and the ordered their food after us. They finished their food before we even got our food. Also kept on asking for utensils and instead of taking care of us because she messed up the order, she took care of other customers. We ordered three of the same dishes and only got one. Will never eat here again. Waitress kept making excuses instead of fixing our problem. When my brother finally got his food, it looked like it was under the warmer forever. Could hear the cooks laughing and joking in the background, must not take their customers food seriously if it takes us over an hour(about 1 hour and 40 minutes) to get our food and we still didn't get it. Worst service ever. Will never come to eat at Denny's ever again!!! Cancelled my order and walked out. Manager tried to get me and my friend to stay, saying the waitress messed up the order. He bussed tables , he threw away bottles and even counted MO ey, all after he said just a min 15 min ago. I have lived within a few miles of this Denny's for over 29 years. I do find the food is usually good, particularly the breakfasts, but for the past couple of years the restaurant is nearly always understaffed. Service is almost always sloooooow, even when only a few tables are occupied. On my last 2 visits, the "famed" Mr. Tony was the entertainer/greeter/seater/server. I put "entertainer" first because he takes being cheerful and amusing to a level that precludes being a good/attentive server. I appreciate friendly service, but when the service level declines due to the table-to-table entertainment, I'm not so amused. My last 2 visits were during off hours when one dining room was empty and only 3 or 4 tables in the other room were occupied, I requested 4 slices of bacon instead of 2 bacon and link sausages...I asked politely and got an equally polite "sure, no problem". Both times I got 2 of each. Sure, maybe the cook didn't fill the order correctly, but had Tony been a bit more focused on his actual job function, he might have checked whether the food coming from the kitchen matched the order he turned in...not too much to ask when so few people were being served. I don't complain to waiters or make a fuss....I rarely send anything back to the kitchen or ask that errors be rectified. When service is repeatedly an issue, I quit going back. My story is already long, but I can't leave out that once served (lengthy wait) my table was ignored (no "would you like more water?", "how's your food?", "can I get you anything else?"). He hung around at length at another table where the customers seemed to egg him on for more entertainment, occasionally passing by my table as if wearing blinders. Fifteen minutes after finishing my meal and I've been sitting there like a lump on a log, I flagged him down as he passed and asked for my check. He said he'd be right back. After another 15 minutes of passing by, he brought my check. His tip was reduced...other than that, I just wanted out of there. Returning? Haven't for awhile and won't anytime soon. read more

We have eaten at this Denny's twice in 4 years when visiting guests. Each time we have had a horrible experience. Tonight, our experience was hands-down the worst experience at a restaurant I have ever had. We waited 40 minutes after being seated to get a drink order. This was after getting up to ask. We were told by the manager that because we were a group of 7 they only put that size orders in periodically. (?!?) So tables of 3-4 seated after us were served first and received food first. When we finally got to order our drinks, we were ready to order our food but were told we couldn't because there was a shift change and this waitress was going home. She could only take our drink order. (?!?) After multiple inquiries into ordering food, we finally got to order. We sat for an hour and a half waiting for our food, watching other customers wait at the kitchen door to ask for food, their bill, and multiple mixed up orders. We finally got up, went to find someone in the kitchen, and asked if our food had even been started. It had and was sitting on the back counter because the window was too full! What?!? We finally got parts of our meal and a refill on drinks 2 and a half hours after being seated. Thankfully, we had 2 and a half hours to catch up with our guests but it was ridiculous. When our sweet waitress brought us our check, she told us to talk to the manager about whether or not we wanted to be comped food. We definitely did. After that mess of a dinner, he wanted to only take off $15 from a $75 bill. Nope! We told him we would only pay for drinks and a hefty tip for the overworked waitress who we could hear being yelled at it the kitchen. He very reluctantly cut our bill down to $24. If we hadn't been in the company of awesome guests, we would have walked out no doubt. This was the poorest example of how to treat customers and employees. Please do not support this business. But, if you do, tip the servers extra because they are dealing with a horrible manager. read more

This place is hit or miss, but after one too many bad experiences with the same staff members, I won't be back. I often call ahead to order take out breakfast from this place as my friend and I are very found of the $4 grand slam for a quick and early breakfast option. About half the time the food was prepared the way we wanted with all the things you'd expect in a to go order. The other half of the time, I get home with no butter, no napkins, etc and the food is awful. Hashbrowns barely cooked and still white, eggs dry and prepared wrong etc. It's either great or awful and it literally all depends on who is working. It's to the point if I go in and see one particular staff member then I know I'll have to check the order before leaving, ask for butter, and then wait around while they give me 1 serving of butter, for over $20 worth of food-yeah I wont be back, the Denny's boycott continues. They probably just need to shut the Denny's chain down all together, the whole brand has gone downhill at almost every location, don't even get me started on the cleanliness of these places either-just best to avoid Denny's. read more

We stopped on the way to the airport. Our server was excellent- quick, helpful, on target. The restaurant and manager? Not so much. The windows were almost gooey with fingerprints around the place, the floor carpet was gross, the bathroom- omg, the bathroom. There was food between the seats in the booths, food on the floor. I am very sure the Denny's corporate office has not been in here ever, but they need to visit. The best part was a child literally shrieking for 10 plus minutes, then later running and being chased through the place by her brother. Mom did nothing- but neither did the manager. Every guest was looking irritated, shaking their heads, clearly upset by not being able to eat without that noise. The manager did nothing. Nada. Our server asked him to do something, and he refused. He told us later that he was sure the children would be disciplined at home. The correct response would have been to pack their food to go and get them out of that restaurant. That restaurant needs a manager who gives a damn about the cleanliness, the atmosphere, and the safety of customers and staff with children running loose at top speed. read more

Food was ok, typical for Denny's, but the service could've been a lot better. Our waiter was enthusiastic but not very efficient. Upon seating I asked for water, that took 5 minutes and a second request, and even then he only brought one glass for two people. I guess asking for iced tea meant I decided I didn't want the water. He spent a lot of time with each table as he took orders and delivered food, but getting a fly-by was nearly impossible. Not a multi-tasker! Once the food was delivered I asked for a refill of tea, that didn't show for 10 minutes (brewing a new pot, as I discovered after a 5-minute wait with no explanation). After that he spent 95% of his time in the kitchen, only venturing out to man the cash register. Several other tables had to attract attention for water, coffee (this is a Denny's, after all), and checks. We didn't see either of the on-duty waitstaff cruise the dining area for nearly 20 minutes, that's how long it took to get a check. The only employee moving about was the bartender getting food from the kitchen for those eating in the bar. We came in Dennys because it was right next to our hotel. It was a Wednesday night and our server Sammi greeted us at the door with such an amazing and bright smile. It was kinda busy and it was only her on the floor. She had a couple big party's and more people coming in the door . I have to say that young server did such an amazing job working by herself . She had everyone laughing and as of what I say I didn't see a single person leave unhappy, I could see in her eyes that she was working hard and trying to focus and may have been a little stressed but she never showed it to her customers . She just kept doing anything to make her guest happy. We will defiantly be back when she is there. Every time we have come in we have gotten her and I'm glad we did. She is an amazing server, that will make sure you leave happy. read more

Pretty clean for a "neighborhood" restaurant. Relatively new building and good lighting give this place an up-lifting air. Most things (tables, menu, seats) look quite clean. Food is done pretty close to what's suggested by the photos and descriptions in the colorful menu. If you agree with Denny's menu, this is a nice dinning room to enjoy its food. read more

We were greeted by a shifty guy who tried to seat us at 3 different tables that were visibly dirty. After finding us a clean table, he proceeded to seat others at those same tables but never cleaned them. We ordered our moons over my hammy but one was supposed to be on white bread. Instead they both were on sourdough and one order had blotches of green stuff on the side of it. I was told it was guacamole. Gross! The plate was returned to be re-made. As we are waiting for the new order, a roach....yes a ROACH in broad light.. scurried across the table next to us. It was confirmed by 5 different people that it indeed was a roach. Approximately 10 people left after that..including my husband and I. Its safe to say we will never attend this Dennys again. Perhaps we will give up Dennys altogether. read more

Food was OK, nothing to write home about. Service was non- existent even when they weren't busy. Waitress came and took our order, didn't come by again until after I flagged her down for something to put on my omelette while she started wiping down tables nearby. She got it for me eventually - after she set the silverware on the empty tables while my food was getting cold. Received the bill, not a "thank you, is there anything else I can get for you?" This is the second time we have stopped at this Denny's near Seatac and enjoyed having Zachary as our waiter. I regret not leaving a review the first time. Zachary is an excellent and humorous waiter. We were also seated promptly by the host. I had the Invisible Woman grand slam. It was beautifully prepared and delicious. This was the worst experience at a restaurant. We waited 30 minutes for drinks, another 30 minutes for 4 of the 8 dishes, another 10 minutes for 2 more dishes and continued to wait for the last two. While all the other tables were being served After about 15 minutes of waiting I asked my husband to just cancel my order and I'll go somewhere else to eat. The waitress also cancelled my brother's dish. When we got up the counter we said this was horrible service what we learned later was the manager said to us "well it's not the waitresses fault so you need to be rude" we told her that we we were not being rude or disrespectful towards the waitress. I find that the way she talked to us was very rude and disrespectful. This was a terrible experience if you want some quick and fairly tasty food try the jack in the box next door and it will most likely cost you less. I'm not sure how much time it takes to make a toasted sandwich with a cup of soup. read more

a complete hot mess, we walked in after a 6 hour flight approx, 10p may 29, 2015 the 2 ladies at the desk ignored the customers and us in front of her, they were fussing over a check or something and did not even acknowledge us. finally when she did, she brought us to the back dining area, every table was dirty, as was the floor. so she had to bring us back tot he front while the tables were cleaned. this is unporfessional and digusting, no management anywhere to be found, the dining room was a hot mess. now i will say the server was nice and the food is typically ok at all dennys, but how you can run a restruant in this filfthy conditions is beyond me and on top of it it was SLOW read more

July 19 through 26, 2008: This is a typical Denny's, with some quick service and some not so quick. Most mornings, my wife and I had our breakfast at this Denny's restaurant before we went about our other activities in Seattle or out to the Olympic Peninsula. We had 20 percent coupons from our Motel 6 office about a mile away (18900 47th Ave, next to I-5), so this made our short drive back to this Denny's well worth the trouble. The breakfast items we had were typical Denny's fare and were welcome, familiar items. Most mornings we had just the build-your-own Slam. It still comes down to the server. Sue was the quickest overall and most conscientious, in our opinion, and we did appreciate and watch for her. However, she served us only once during our week in the Seatac area. In the rest of the servers we had, we found one who seemed to wait for an invitation before he brought our order, but most other servers were at least average or better, and all were friendly, at least on a professional level. Overall, I would certainly recommend this Denny's to anybody either visiting or living in the area. It was a comfortable and familiar place for our meals. read more
