Well, I didn't stay for breakfast so I cannot speak for the food... but this place was filthy. I asked the staff for a comment card and they couldn't provide me with any information. The place is a dump run by dump dwellers. I've never seen a restaurant with so much food and waste on the floors and under the tables. I pointed it out to the hostess. She didn't seem to care. Poor service and food that was equally as poor. It's Denny's, I know, but I expect a bit better then what we received. We didn't have the luxury of time or else we would have went somewhere else. Started out with us walking in and not getting acknowledged, the place was pretty empty so it's not like the employees were running and trying to keep up. We were staying at the Red Roof Inn just a few blocks away. This was actually my first time visiting a Denny's ever so I was curious to try it. We had been up since 1am traveling plus the three hour time change so we were wiped. It was a really spacious and open dining room. Only three other tables (all two tops) and we only saw our server three times. Keep in mind this was during the dinner hour also. Wasn't a bad price for everything we got especially after we travelled to the downtown and encountered those prices!! However while we were eating we noticed fruit fly traps planted around the restaurant. This was definitly a turnoff and led us to wonder what other issues they had. read more

i went here to get my usual order, most of the time there pretty polite with me all the staff until last night i usually always call my order in and then pick it up as i work just down the street but tonight i had extra time so i walked in to place my order i waited patiently as they were having an issue with a customer that wasn't happy with his order, more people walked in there was too many in the waiting area so i went to right and sat down to wait for my order in a seat nearby, i had extra time before i had to go to work so i decided to eat part of my meal as i was so hungry, a male employee came out and YELLED AT ME " That i was sitting in a closed off area and i needed to move, i looked for a sign there was nothing that said this section is closed, he ordered me to sit in the area to the left and scoffed at me your order was TO GO" his voice was in a ANGRY WAY, i told him sorry i'm really hungry, i must add that i Tipped the cashier as i always do every time i order they get at least a $5 tip, i thought by now that i would be Welcome as a customer i've been coming to this restaurant for months i always order the same thing so they have to know me by now, i guess if you order here to go you better get it and leave. We came here on a Sunday morning to have a good breakfast before our flight in the afternoon. We got the Lumberjack Slam & Club Sandwich. Food was ok/decent, came out fast. Service was excellent, our waitress (Latina lady) did her job very well. Place appeared clean for Covid-19 standards. Only complaint is there is no sign-in sheet, and there was confusion when many parties arrived around the same time for breakfast. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of coming here with my kid at about 9:30 tonight. It took them at least five minutes to even acknowledge that we were there and then another ten minutes to get us sat. Rather than seat us, the woman at the register decided to cash people out. People, that arrived to the front AFTER us. Once we were sat we waited for about fifteen minutes or so with out even so much as a word from anyone, no drink orders taken, nothing. When we finally decided to leave, the lady at the register didn't say a thing. Most people with even a shred of human decency would at least apologize for the experience. Ate here recently before a flight and had surprisingly one of the best Denny's experience I've ever had. Our waiter, David, was very professional and personable and one of the best waiters I've had in a long time. The food was equally as satisfying! Had a fresh salad with grilled chicken and the chicken was surprisingly well seasoned and delicious! And of course the chocolate lava cake for dessert was amazing, super moist and airy. Terrible customer service. Our server took a good 5minutes to explain to us why we can't have shakes because she's by herself rather than saying thatb it might take awhile due to being short staffed. Clean restaurant. Only one waitress. I ordered a patty melt burger and fries. A couple tables arrived after I had placed my order. About 10 minutes later, I could hear the cook dinging as the one waitress attended those tables. Several more bell dings could be heard. There was only one table ahead of me and he had already been served his food. Finally, my burger arrives, it was warm not hot, fries luke warm. The burger was very tasty, unfortunately only warm. Other tables then began getting their food. Waitress never came back to ask how my meal was or to refill my beverage. This review is for an online/delivery order, I haven't physically been to this restaurant since 2012. Ordered 4 meals for delivery last night. Husband is U.S. Navy and we're being transferred back to Pearl Harbor on Monday, staying at a hotel right now and relying on shuttle service (no car), hence the delivery. BTW, my long seemingly ridiculous story is all about the store manager, Lyn (not sure if this is her real name, because whoever it is, is a complete lying b****) I'll start by saying all of the food was soggy, room temperature and not very good. The containers we're several times larger than the food -- literally four tiny dino nuggets in a container the same size as my mom's spaghetti and meat balls. Speaking of spaghetti... They forgot her garlic bread. I'm about to get really ridiculous, but there's a point to all this. She wanted the garlic bread more than she wanted the spaghetti, and seriously didn't want to eat the spaghetti without it. She's not the only person I know that don't want to eat something without the usual accompanying foodstuffs. She did try it anyway, but it didn't taste very good and the meatball was pretty bad. I called Denny's and told them they'd forgotten the garlic bread, and she asked what I wanted them to do about it. I (seriously) asked if they could bring the garlic bread they forgot -- I know, I know, who the hell expects someone to deliver a piece of garlic bread? Well, if I was in her position I'd have just offered a refund on the singular meal, or something complimentary on the next visit, I mean there were a ton of options she could have gone with, but this is what happened: She first tells me they (of course) won't deliver a piece of garlic bread. Then she rudely tells me I can have someone come and pick it up. I explained we didn't have a vehicle which was why we needed it delivered in the first place and trusted they'd have gotten the order correct. She put me on hold, stating she was dealing with someone else "right now". Literally 6 minutes later she gets back on the phone and tells me, "Okay ma'am, we found your garlic bread in another bag, so we did forget it." Uh, yeah, I know, I wasn't making this up for funsies, but thanks for double checking that I'm not a liar. Again she suggests I come and pick it up. So...I am to catch a taxi for a piece of garlic bread they forgot? She doesn't even bother to offer anything like a free dessert or drink for the inconvenience (this is the usual thing any other restaurant would do). I reiterate that isn't a possibility for us, so she asks what is it I want her to do about it? I asked her if she could just refund us for the spaghetti because my mom wasn't going to eat it. She tells me they can't do that since we are in possession of the spaghetti. I told her she can come pick it up, because it ain't getting eaten. We go back and forth like this for a couple of minutes before I finally ask to speak to a manager. Of course, she just so happens to be the manager. I told her if she wasn't going to do the right thing here I'd contact corporate. She told me all she could do is refund the garlic bread and to "go ahead and contact corporate." She then hung up on me. That was the straw that broke the camel's back. I immediately called back, and got a busy signal. I set my phone to continuously call until someone picked up, and it took about 5 minutes for the busy signal to let up, then it just rang and rang with no answer. I called again from my mom's phone and she actually answered this time. My mom ended up talking to her and after my mom telling her that she's in the customer service industry and that any good customer service worker would do anything to make a customer happy. Lyn then tells her, "Fine, I'll refund the meal if that's what will make you happy." We thanked her and got off the phone. I've since received an e-mail from Denny's letting me know that we were refunded EIGHTY-SEVEN CENTS. I have also attempted to contact Denny's several times regarding this matter and nothing yet. I want to repeat that I know this seems like a seriously ridiculous childish story, and who the hell gives this much of a damn about garlic bread? Well, this isn't about the garlic bread. I never once received an apology, wasn't offered any sort of compensation other than being told I can pick up an old piece of garlic bread or get a refund for the bread itself, was hung up on, ignored, and in the end, lied to. I don't know if I care if I ever receive a refund, but I'd love for this Denny's to considering finding a new manager. read more

After arriving from MD and extremely tired, I stopped in for a quick bite. Ordered chicken tenders and mozzarella sticks. I left to go check in at my hotel down the street. Now mind u; there were 4 people in the restaurant, so they weren't busy by far. When I came back 10 mins later, my food was ready, but I didn't check it. When I drove one minute to the hotel and bit into the cheese stick I realized that the cheese had never melted. They must of dropped it on the grease and took it right back out. The only reason why I'm giving them two stars is because the manager was kind and said she would replace the food on spot if I came back. I explained to her that I've been traveling all day with my 3 year old and would not come back tonight. She promised it would be fixed, and I could pick up the remade food at my leisure the next day. The hostess told us that it will only be a couple of minutes and so we sat at the waiting bench and chatted amongst ourselves to keep busy. 15 minutes pass and we look up at the counter and the hostess still hasn't come to sit us down at a table. We figured she was still busy so we waited a bit longer. Another 15 minutes pass and she's still at the counter chatting with the couple making the pickup order. The least she could have done was sit us at a table with some menus so we could spend our idle time choosing what to eat. We waited a total of about 35 minutes before we decided enough was enough and drove the 0.9 miles to the other Denny's where we were seated immediately with stellar service. That hostess had ONE table already eating and ONE pickup order. There is no excuse for the poor service we received at this location. I will never be returning here and I will dissuade and warn others about this location of their terrible service. read more
