Have not been to denny's for about a year now. I was craving their spaghetti and meatballs, but unfortunately the menu changed and no longer served. Ordered nachos and cheeseburger w/fries to go. The chips for the machines was seperated, so it doesn't get soggy in the cheese and chili part; ended up dipping my fries in that instead of the chips. Absolutely horrible. Quality of the food has gone way downhill. Nobody ever came to ask if anything was okay. I tried to mention things to the manager who just walked away. The server was trying her best but she was completely doing everything including busting tables very well this so called manager was just walking around acting like he was he was so important. The quality of the food has gone way downhill. The chicken strips are half the size they used to be and they're really really dry. You hardly get any mashed potatoes. And the vegetables were overcooked and mushy. I'm staying in a nice hotel nearby, (about 1/4 mile maybe less walk for me), and came here not only for the normal Denny's comfort food, but for the prices. At my hotels restaurant, where eggs & bacon is $17... it is amazing that this Denny's still offers the $4 $6 $8 menu to guest as soon as they walk in!! The restaurant is clean and inviting. My wife and I came into this location to grab something to eat before our flight on May 20, 2021. Upon entering the establishment we were greeted by a waitress who appeared apprehensive to seat us. Did not acknowledge us or ask us for our drink order. We were not even offered or given our silverware. At this time another couple comes in, he politely takes there order. After sitting there for 20 minutes and then observing this behavior, we left. I am not one to assume that this was racist behavior, but the couple who came in after we had been sitting there for 10 minutes and they were served before us were white. Decided to do Denny's food delivery since it was near our hotel. First off, they screwed up the delivery order. I spent $32 for two entrees and they left out the apple chicken salad and gave us some apple cobbler instead. My husband was so hungry from our layover and looking forward to his meal only to be substituted for some dessert we didn't order. Ok mistakes happen, however we kept calling their business number on our receipt and it just kept ringing. No answer of all the 10 times we called. I've come to the conclusion they don't believe in taking phone calls. Ugh, of all the times I had to try Denny's... I feel like I got ripped off and no customer satisfaction WHATSOEVER. I've thought about walking to Denny's from the hotel, but it's raining and cold! I spent $32 for a delivery convenience only to walk out in the rain to fix a mistake on their end?? So be warned upon delivery orders, which they use uber drivers to deliver their food, not the actual staff. Rather horrible experience at this Dennys. I placed an online order, arrived and went inside to pick up my order. I was approached by an employee, I explained that I had a mobile order, she said nothing. I repeated myself and again no response. She was looking at me and had engaged in the conversation but had not responded. I said it one more time and exclaimed that she heard me and rudely asked for my name. She had a terrible attitude, I told her that all she needed to do was ask after I had said it the first time. I love Denny's! There are two locations on International Blvd but I think this one is easier to get to. The service is not the best. Expect longer waits than at other locations. This one does get full and the workers don't seem to have figured out how to be fast AND efficient. That being said, the servers are gems. They are friendly and energetic without being too in your face. The food is great. My pancakes did come out a little undercooked in the middle though. Don't have high expectations and you will be happy. Oh! And bring a jacket! This place is always really cold. Hot chocolate please!! read more

Yes, we ate at Denny's at 1 AM because we were stranded at SeaTac as a result of our connecting flight to the airport was delayed an hour and a half, thus missing our flight to LAS. With no compensation for a room because the delay was due to weather (a big pile of moose bunk there), and not wanting to sleep on the airport floor, we checked into a nearby hotel but still hungry. One server was running the entire floor with about 7 or 8 tables and she actually did a good job hostessing, serving her tables, and running her food, while the manager sat at a nearby table doing paperwork and occasionally cashing out a table. Fist pound and an extra five-spot to her for her hard work. My wife and I ordered from the value menu ordering the $6 Baja Quesadilla Burger and the $8 Country-Fried Steak & Eggs Skillet. I got through about half of my steak that was dried out topped with a thick gravy tasting of uncooked flour and greasy potatoes and peppers on the side. I should have stuck with one of the Slams, it's pretty hard to mess those up. We really had no other card to play but the Denny's card on this one. The play was lucky and worked for service, but not so much for the food. 13 Coins might be an option at this time of night, but if you don't have the time and don't want to spend that much, Denny's might have to do, but cross your fingers for service and stick with their regular breakfast for food. read more

This place is amazing, in all the wrong ways. You've heard that the most important three things about a restaurant is location, location, and location? This place is THE case study. Some restaurants succeed and stay open because they serve good food, have great service, or a fun, clean environment. This is none of those, yet it thrives. This puzzled me for a while, until I realized where I was. This Denny's is by the airport. They have a steady, unending supply of two types of customers, neither of which can be lastingly disappointed in any way that will effect their business: unsuspecting travelers and drug-addled locals. When I arrived, there was a trio of the later type, strung out (figuratively and literally) from table to lobby, in various states of intoxication. One was so hyped on something, he couldn't sit down and was dancing a twitchy little dance to the Muzak. Another shuffled around complaining about things randomly, while a third languished in the lobby ogling blearily anyone who came in the door. The staff tried to ignore their efforts to engage in meaningless conversation (which they attempted with everyone in the restaurant) until their to-go order was finished. There is no manager in evidence. The tables are mostly filthy, sticky fingerprints and food debris are seen the salt shakers, seats and windows. The floors are a horror. Why did I not run? Something inside my head said, "...adventure!" I need to look askance at this voice... I order a steak salad, coffee and water. The salad is basically the zombified version of the depiction in the sticky menu. The lettuce has brown and black spots of rot here and there. The "steak" might explain the disappearance of local cats, for all I know- it's cooked to the consistency of shoe leather and unrecognizable as beef. There is a wad of shredded cheese shining with its own oils, an egg, some bits of bacon. It's topped with stale shoestring fried potatoes, as if someone sat down, thought carefully, and eventually said, "I know how we can make this suck EVEN MORE...!" I pick it over, call it a day. The salad costs $10. The tablespoon of accompanying dressing, curiously, is served in a soup bowl (I'm not kidding). I ask for a little more dressing- they bring me another soup bowl with another tablespoon of dressing in it! Wow. The service is pretty good, considering. The staff looks shell-shocked and pained, but make their rounds dutifully. My coffee is kept full. They need to find better work. The again, maybe the tips are good..? I for one am leaving a very good tip, out of pity. They might get that a lot. If you are looking for an experience, eat here. If you want a good experience, everywhere else is a better bet. read more

My veggie omelet plate was run with juice which the server lady quickly said was "the juice from all the veggies" before I even asked her. Taste-wise it was ok. I found this Denny's to be okay. For a national chain restaurant to be almost within minutes of Seattle-Tacoma International airport as well as next door to my motel (the SeaTac Inn), this Denny's was fine. For the few times that I've eaten here, I've found the food to be really good at least once. The rest of the times, its been okay. Not terrible, but okay as in kind of bland, yet tolerable. I just wanted something hot and nourishing and wasn't expecting anything grandiose. Of course, I also wasn't expecting anything less than IHOP or Waffle House standards either. This location was right in the middle. Cleanliness is okay as well. I say this knowing that this is a very busy location considering its close proximity to the airport. Yet sometimes, I wonder about the judgment of some servers. The last time I was there, this Denny's was half-full and he attempted to sit me at a booth that had used napkins and empty straws on the floor. After he put the menu on the time, I gave him this "You gotta be kidding me, man" look and asked if I could sit at another booth or table, knowing full well that this may not have been in his section. He was cool about it, and eventually cleaned up the messy table. But still, c'mon now. The management or senior server usually asks me how my meal was at the front cash register, which I think is a nice touch instead of just blurting out the cash total of the meal. We had a horrible experience. The food was terrible and the service was very bad. People that arrived after us were served before us and when we brought it up to the waiter we were told it wasn't their fault and that the order was taking longer because we order side items (really?). Waiter argued instead of being sympathetic. The manager (Asian person) was the worse. When we brought it to his attention he said he sat the party and they were there before us. Complete lie as I saw them come in after us. He not only argued with us in an aggressive manner but we overhead multiple similar complaints that were brought to his attention with the same responses. Well, let's just say I've had much better experiences elsewhere. Our dinner began with waiting nearly five minutes to be seated when there were only five tables currently in use in the whole restaurant. It was five in the evening, and they only had one lone guy manning the entire place filling all the roles of hostess, waiter, and cashier. I'm not sure if this is normal Denny's behavior, but it was just plain not cool to leave us hanging at the door when I've always been seated and/or greeted within a minute or two of arriving. Once seated, we noticed right away that they had no safety strap for any of their high chairs. The lone one they did have a safety strap for was broken. This meant we had to be constantly checking to make sure the baby did not fall on the floor. This should not happen at a family diner. No one took our drink order for another ten minutes. Remember, there were only five tables. However, they only staffed one guy for the dinner rush (rush to come a little later). The waiter was pleasant enough. Let's move on to the food. My sister's dinner salad came out almost immediately. We were then asked by a nice woman if we would take a survey. It was bad timing, as we were now eating, but we agreed to do it. The rest of the food took about twenty minutes, which is not horrible, but oops, they tried to take it to three different tables before they got to us. Then after all that, they got our order wrong and forgot what we ordered for the baby - both the steamed broccoli and the bananas. They corrected the mistake by adding the missing items on the side to the main dish, bringing out the bananas right away, and then made us wait another ten minutes for the broccoli. My sister and I both got burgers. They looked great, and then we tried to cut them in half with the large knife that accompanied them. That was a really bad idea. The burger disintegrated into pieces, especially the bun. The burger, as a burger is to be eaten, was impossible to eat properly. We had to eat it with a fork, which just takes some of the burger joy right out of the experience. Do not try to cut the burgers here! I wonder, however, if the bun would have done that anyway if I tried to press the burger together to eat it...It was a really bad experience. Its only saving grace was that the burger itself and the toppings did taste good. The fries required salt - they had no seasoning whatsoever. About 5:45 rolls around, and I notice the manager and another server now stepping in as the tables keep flowing in (as I said, the dinner rush). If you ask me, they should of had that kind of staffing earlier to make the overall experience quicker and less rushed for patrons and staff. We got our check almost immediately after being served our food, which screams, "get out of here" to me at least. Surprisingly, my diet coke was filled twice, but I was aiming for three times. No one noticed my empty cup on the edge of the table for ten minutes. This is unacceptable to me as well. No one checked on us during our meal. We were served our food and that was it. Despite this whole rocky experience, they were really on top of checking us out. It was the fastest experience all night - this is a sad commentary. After sitting through this obvious mistake of a breakfast place I decided to look at their Yelp score. Yep 2 1/2 Stars is about correct. The food arrived correct and hot and that was about it. Forget asking for a refill or utinsels or anything like that. The service was deplorable. Now granted with COVID and such I understand that understaffing can be a problem but there was 3 staff and only 6 tables occupied. At least I got to eat so there is that. Met family from out of town for breakfast. This situation was a little different as they had breakfast with their traveling group and then us so ended up having 2 different servers. I mention this because my Aunt had stated their server was very friendly and attentive. However the server we ended up with went to great lengths to avoid even making eye contact with us. When we placed our orders she was rude to my daughter who is 14 and does not have a loud voice. It was also rather loud in the restraunt so I understand the server having a hard time hearing my daughter however there was no need to be so short and rude with her. Our drinks never got refilled, i had to get up and go over to the counter to get a coffee refill whwn our waitress had just bewn out refilling her other tables coffee. My water glass was disgusting again had to take it to the counter and another server helped me. Our food was cooked as requested.
