Love this Denny's. The service is consistently efficient, accurate and friendly. I go out of my way to come this location specifically. Food is always delicious. Servers are respectful and recognize regulars. Always ample parking right outside. I also like that this restaurant is well lit (some Denny's are kind of dark inside) but this one has lots of natural and unnatural lighting. I love the Value menu, one of the few restaurants nowadays that still has full meals for under $10, makes eating out affordable. I especially love the Super Slam (I like to add chocolate chips to my pancakes and cheese on my has browns) - which, with a refillable soda from the soda fountain and tip, is still under $20. Also love the discount breakfast sliders (Ride and Slide) and the Everyday slam when I don't want as much food as the super slam. Other stuff on the menu is equally yummy but less affordable - I live on the value menu. Restaurant and restrooms are always clean - I come all times of day. Service late at night is just as good in the morning. I love that Denny's is always open when you want somewhere safe and familiar. I've used this Denny's as a comfy place to study, read and relax while I eat and they welcome sitting around during/after your meal without rushing me out. It's Labor Day and the resturant was busy. I called and ordered a pick up over the phone while I was driving and AI responded which is smart and convenient. It asked me very brief questions such as if I was calling to order for a pick up and if I spoke English you press the button and then the real person answered the phone. I ordered the usual Fit Slam went for a picked up. The host surprisingly double checked the order inside the bag right in front of me to confirm before I took off which I haven't seen anyone do this in years. Dennys has some of best customer service and the price was reasonable. The breakfast was great and it felt light and healthy which I wanted. I love their egg white scrambled eggs with spinach. I used my Dennys rewards points on app and paid all in cash when I arrived. They have their own designated parking. Parking was also a breeze for me this morning. I will be back. read more

This was the worst case of shrinkflation I have ever seen! There was only half the amount of fries and even half the amount of salad... Yes, they tried to be stingy with the salad too, which has a food cost of $0.75 cents, while they sell it for $7.50. That's a 1,000% markup, yet they still felt the need to rip us off on the amount of salad in the container... Come on, guys! The coup de gras was when they charged nearly an additional $2 for extra Ranch dressing, but they used the smallest sized ramekin cup. We understand that running a restaurant is getting more expensive, but you can't take advantage of your customers and expect them to come back... Mehrnoosh is a delight. She's quick and caring. GREAT customer service. She anticipates your need before you do. And this Denny's is rarely busy but it has award certificates on the wall. Conveniently located near the 163 Fwy off the Clairemont Mesa Blvd exit on Kearny Villa Rd. next to Arco Gas. We were craving a good dinner meal after a long day event at the Pechanga Arena. We were immediately greeted and seated as we entered. I had their 'Meaty Melt with fries', and my husband had their 'Crazy Spicy Skillet and Eggs.' Everything tasted fresh with that authentic Denny's flavor. For dessert, I had their 'Apple Crisp', so satisfying. I placed an online order for pick up on Sunday 8/25 for 9 pm as I work shift work and I would be picking the food up on my 30 minute lunch break. My order was for zesty nachos and pancake puppies. When I arrived, the cashier tried giving me someone else's order which included a burrito. I told her that is not what I ordered. She said she had no order matching what I had ordered. I pulled up the email receipt on my phone, showing her that I placed the order at 8:30 pm for 9 pm pickup. The cashier then became argumentative, telling me someone else picked up my order and signed for it. She asked if it was Uber eats or DoorDash, as someone else picked it up. I explained that I was the only one who had the capability of ordering it since it came from my mobile phone, not through a delivery service. Basically, she gave my order to someone else and was upset that I was upset about it. She basically said, too bad, someone else took hour order and signed for it. My guess, she didn't bother to confirm the name and gave it to the first person who walked in and said they had a pickup, considering she was trying to hand off someone else's order to me when I got there. Since I was on a 30 minute lunch break, I told her I didn't have time to wait for the kitchen to remake it, so I'd like my almost $20 order to be refunded. She said no and that I could call tomorrow. When I asked for a managers number/contact info, she gave the general number to the restaurant. Instead of being helpful in any capacity, she scolded ME saying she "didn't have time to argue because she had tables" ...it's 9 pm on a Sunday and there's maybe 3 tables sat in the restaurant. I didn't want to "argue" either, I wanted a simple refund for my food that I paid for that she gave to another patron because they couldn't bother to confirm who or what they were giving away. I'd care a lot less if I wasn't working a 12 hour shift and wasn't immediately greeted with attitude for a mistake I didn't make. A little compassion and grace goes a long way. Having been to this location a few times now while in the area dropping off the SO and before school starts. Granted, yes its a Dennys and we have our favorites and the menu has changed corporate wise... but service has not wavered at this establishment! Andrea (I hope that is our waitress name who works early morning shift during weekdays) is a champ! She takes care of every person walking through that door... and it is more than a couple all while maintaining that she checks on us (as well as the other tables) in a friendly and quickly manner... especially bringing around more coffee even when I'm only halfway empty! She gets 5++++ for what I've seen her handle.in the mornings (and ringing us up at the cash register!) I hope she gets paid well as she does the job of 3 people nowadays! In any event, Dennys has a little something for everyone... while a meal for a family of 3 now runs about $50+ for breakfast plus tip... it is quite pricey BUT it meets our expectations of what we have come to expect. This location has always been clean and neat, once the bathrooms were being cleaned early morning but finished by the time we were ready to walk out. This location has a lot of foot traffic in the mornings as it is located right off Highway 805 off Clairemont.
