Unique Sandwiches is great. It's a good to place to go if you work nearby. Their sandwiches all taste very high quality. My favorite one to get is the bomb, I love the cream cheese and bacon in it. Got the half sandwich because the full sandwiches are a bit pricey. For $7.50 for a French roll I would expect at least six inches but it was maybe four. The bread was dry and very plain. The meat, cheese, and lettuce were pretty skimpy. Very underwhelming. Would've been more satisfied with PB&J from the kitchen. Lady at the register was really nice though. Out on business and needing lunch. I ventured out on my own and stumbled upon this place. It was busy and locals seemed to go here. I ordered the teriyaki bowl, and it was great. Really enjoyed it. Second review this time it's a bust! I tried a BLT and ordered it with extra mayo and guess what I got more mustard in it. The bacon was overcooked and hard. I paid 12.00 for mostly bread and lettuce. I even asked for extra pickle and got nothing. I had to go back and got handed a tiny slice of pickle spear. We all missed Moses once he left but at least the food was still good! The quality of the food can not compare to what it used to be. Starting work with a new company is always a little... stressful. I would say especially stressful because all of my surroundings have changed to the industrial rows that are Kearny Mesa. I tried it out on a few occasions, sampled a couple of their salads... YUM, so fresh. I have ordered a few of the specialty sandwiches without bread and put them on my gluten free bread back at the office... YUMMM! I am glad no one gives me the side eye when I order sans bread... They use Boars Head and you can absolutely taste the difference between them and some stinky ol deli. All of the salads are made fresh daily, the chicken and tuna salad, the egg salad, the green salads... when they are gone they are gone for the day so order early! Today I got the egg salad again... HUGE scoop with cucumbers tomatos bacon and lettuce. Its almost like breakfast. Order by phone for pick-up to get the best service, when it gets packed at lunch time it really gets packed and there is not a lot of parking.
