I ordered off of the HOBBIT MENU (which has been discontinued for years) snd yet they still delivered (more specifically Lonely Mountain Delights), I also like how you can order something from both the breakfast AND lunch menu, we got mozzarella sticks as an appetizer, and I got cinnamon bun pancakes. This Dennys hands down is the cleanest and quickest in the business. I visited over the Thanksgiving holiday and the experience was nothing short of amazing. The kitchen at any given moment smelled delicious and the food was equally as good. The waitress was very responsive and attentive to her section. Not as good as the old Denny's used to be everything changes and sometimes not for the better the food is still pretty good but the prices are ridiculous for what you get. Always a friendly and clean place. I think it was recently remodeled, looks quite a bit different. I like how they have incorporated historical photos from Rockford around the restaurant. Lots of windows to see out of. Slightly bummed that they are not open 24 hours anymore. Menu is always changing. Food is always hot and tasty. Booths were changed out and it is great to not be sitting in a hole anymore. Great place to meet or for groups. read more

This Denny's has the typical Denny's breakfast quality; most of the Denny's restaurants are very consistent and this location is no different. The interior decor needs to be updated; the booths need to be modernized. The service provided by Katiuscia was very good and she visited my table at the right frequency to keep my coffee cup filled. This is an overdue review for our server, Braelen :) I don't typically go to Denny's but after they remodeled I decided to give it a try one late night with friends - I was craving breakfast food. Braelen was our server that night, he was friendly, helpful, pleasant, while we all had some specs. for how we'd like our food served. He went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed our meals and our stay at Denny's. We went back a week later for chocolate milkshake and we were happy that he was our server again. I would strongly advise not going to this Denny's. The service was the absolute worst. Ordered the biscuit's and gravy with my eggs sunnyside on top and when they brought it out the eggs were cold and biscuits were stale. It really felt like they didn't want my business and went out of their way to make it the worst dining experience of my life. If you're ever in Rockford and want something to eat you're better off going hitting a drive thru. The only reason I gave it one star is because zero stars wasn't an option. I was greatly disappointed to sit waiting for a seat for 15 minutes when I could look over the restaurant and see at least 7 clean tables and 4 dirty tables. I found the hostess to be very unfriendly, not rude, but defiantly not glad to be there. I shattered my ankle in 3 places and cannot stand and there was nowhere to sit down so I looked and saw a ton of empty seats were available I assumed it was seat yourself since there was no sign or announcement only to be accosted and told people were waiting 2 and a half hours for seating. I can't comment on the service or the food as both times I've been there in the last month I haven't been helped. I have been here before and service was always extremely slow and it times I would have to go up to the counter to get a waitress. The last two times I was just sad person that sent me didn't even ask if I wanted something to drink. Both times after about 10 to 15 minutes. I got up and left. The last time I overheard the manager noticed that I was there and she was looking for a waitress instead of coming over to say I'm sorry that you haven't been helped yet can I get you something to drink. Our table was clean to 70% had maple syrup on a corner and it was a bit dirty. Our server was Shelena and she did a wonderful job in attending us; she knew her stuff and knew what to recommend.
