The guy that helped me was cool. Straight to the point and the food came faster than I thought. Refilled our water quickly and the person helping us was very polite. No problems at all. read more

The Denny's itself is okay, but they aren't open 24 hours. Whenever I try to go there after 1 it is closed. It's kind of annoying for a place that advertises as always being open. read more

Probably the best experience I have had at a Dennys! Went around 10am Fri morning, only 5 min wait. Our server was Daniel and let me say-SOME OF THE BEST SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECIEVED! Daniel was prompt, took our order right away, and cleared plates as soon as they were empty. This is a guy you want on your team! Bravo Dennys and Daniel . read more

This Denny's serves delicious pancakes! When I crave for pancakes, I always go for the salted caramel and banana cream pancakes. Try them if you have not! The banana chips with sliced bananas works well with the cream and salted caramel. I sometimes get it with the extra meal since it's worth getting as well as getting a balance of my taste buds - if it's too sweet, you can switch off to the hashbrowns, eggs, and bacon/sausage. I give this place 4 stars because the table machines to pay doesn't really work well and when they do work, I can't receive a copy of my receipt. Other than that, I would come again for more pancakes :) read more

Came today for my free breakfast birthday meal and service was on point. Ryan our server was awesome!

Went in today for veteran's day promotion, which was a meal a couple years back, but this year was scaled down to just pancakes. It took a fairly large amount of time to get myself, a party of one seated, and then from that point served. I got iced water quickly enough, except the outside of the glass had some type of citrus pulp or some material on it. No problem as they replaced the glass(it wasn't a threat to my meal, just a detail thing...). The second glass had some other grainy material on the outside as well. Third glass was fine. I'm guessing their dish washing team washed the inside of the glass but not the outside as thoroughly. Anyways back to the point, from the time of the first glass of water to the time of my first pancake plate was about 20 minutes, and about 5 to ten minutes till' second plate. Third plate was quicker only because what I believe was a manager stepped in to help the server deliver that plate. I'm trying to be fair here, the people are nice enough, and it was a free plate of pancakes, but on a holiday of any sort; the management should budget more hours for help rather than trying to make customers wait longer because hard working employees are short staffed. It's like this in service and retail alike and customer service across the board is suffering due to corporations being stingy with their hours for employees. So my rating isn't so much reflecting on this location, but my experience at several Denny's as a whole over the last couple of years. So if you come to this location, or any other Denny's expect a long wait.(Next year, Norm's.) read more

I came here before a movie and I ordered the classic blt with fries and the fries smelled like poop a I tasted one and it was horrible because it tasted like poop and I told the workers and they started laughing in the kitchen and there was nothing funny about it eating nasty dirty smelling food is not good. read more

I had a great experience service was fast and friendly. Waiter and host are nice food is delicious and hot

Service is absolute shit. On top of them messing up my to go meals not once but 3 times..I will never be going to this location again too many screw ups on top of their customer service being crappy read more

I posted a review once but I no longer see it not sure if it was removed but I no longer patronize nor eat at this particular Denny's restaurant even when living just a few blocks away because I was simply fed up with the employee turn over & lack of customer service skills by newly hired employees not to mention the long wait to receive your order on top of that this one Manager in particular has the worst customer service skills I've ever experienced as a Manager in the restaurant business seeing customer service should be his top priority he is extremely rude & nonchalant about addressing any concerns you have pertaining to customer satisfaction or food order concerns. He treats you like your an inconvenience and wants you to hurry up with your order and get out the way & if your not satisfied with your order he dismisses it like it's no big deal. So I will not be patronizing a restaurant where the Manager is not there to provide great service to paying customers and rudely ignores your complaints or concerns. I avoid going to this Denny's location just because of this particular Manager. read more

Will not be returning... the don't accepted riverside cards for discount anymore... waiter had to many tables... she rushed everything...looked like my food was just thrown on my plate.... very upset... we even saw people walking out they were sitting for a long time with no service read more

Ordered the Original Grand Slam with the pancakes. White toast. Extra well done sausage. Scrambled eggs. Food was cold. Yes, even my "well done sausages. I did not get what I ordered even after it was repeated to me correctly. I received scrambled eggs, extra well done cold sausages that were obviously sitting for awhile and toast. Checked the receipt I was put down for a "Make your own grand slam". read more

My family & I went to Denny's off University Ave. in Riverside. We normally go to the one off Perris Blvd. in Moreno Valley ( by the way is always pleasant & professional). Well the Denny's off university ave was one of the worst dining experience ever. Their check-in process was unorganized & a big mess. They use a scratch piece of paper, writing names anywhere, not in order and calling off names randomly. They seated 2 families that came in after us. Upon seating the 3rd family we interrupted & said we were before them. They continued to seat them and told us we would be next. Once seated, we waited 15 mins then decided to leave. No one came to take our order. We spoke with the manager Isabelle Hernandez & she didn't apologize or showed any care in the world. We wasted an Hour & 30 mins & only received horrible customer service. A district manager needs to go audit their customer service and train them properly. read more

Called ahead of time to check on my order and the man who answered, I believe his name is Gomez, was very dismissive and basically hung up on me. Upon arrival, when asked about this, he continued to be dismissive. I guess calling to check up on the status of a to go order was a HUGE NO NO? It's unpleasant to get a lack of respectful service like this and I will not be returning to this location as a customer ever again. read more

Came in for a late breakfast expecting a long wait and we were seated and served our food all within less than 10 minutes. Paz, our server was extremely nice and constantly checked on us to see if we needed anything, he made us feel at home well taken care of, he has an infectious positive personality that will brighten anyone's day. We will definitely return soon read more

After a night out, my boyfriend and I and some friends decided to grab a bite to eat at 3 am. We had come from a toga party and both my boyfriend and I were in togas, mine was really revealing and my boyfriend was completely covered with no skin showing other than his calves. We walked in and the security was at the front desk and proceeded to tell my boyfriend to go home. My boyfriend argued that I was more exposed and the security said "well she's a girl she can dress like that", which we expressed as sexist and so did the people waiting to be seated. The security said we couldn't even order takeout and if we did want to, my boyfriend had to go sit in the car out of view from the restaurant customers. Security said that my boyfriend couldn't be in there because families could potentially come in and a man with a toga covering his whole body would not be okay!! First of all, it was 3 am, not a single family was in there just people wanting a bite to eat after partying. Denny's employees just stayed quiet and they were willing to seat us but the security didn't let them. We didn't want to disturb the customers already there, so we left because all the people waiting to be seated were starting to argue with the security guard. Absolutely disappointed and disgusted with the security's attitude. read more

This is probably the worst I'm sorry this is the WORST dennys I have ever been too!!! First the fat host that always there has the worst attitude and rude look on his face every time, it took us over 25 min to get our food because the server and the fat guy were talking and messing around and they forgot our pancakes and they didn't come for another 15 min because he was talking I had to get up and go ask for them! read more

I been here plenty of times and each time the servers have been very nice and always keep on checking on us even to the point of bringing me refills of my soda when i have a little left or i don't want any more. I know when they get busy the service takes longer, but it is much better than the denny's at Carson were it took us 1 hour just for the group after us to get serve first, we had to just get up and leave. THis denny is much better and i keep on coming back every time my sister and i have dinner read more

Now I know what im getting into when I go to Denny's, it is a late night after the bar lets sober up kinda place. This one star isn't for the kind of place Denny's is, but how it is ran. One time I came in and waited nearly 45 minutes before someone even came up and asked if we wanted water. Another time we got kicked out because my friend pulled out an electric cigarette and the manager came running up to us saying that was illegal????? and we have to go. Then he told us we could stay and wait for our food, but then still kicked us out, like he couldn't make up his mind if he wanted to kick us out or not for the fact that my friend had an e-cig........ read more

I've always had a good experience here. I usually order value menu and eat pretty quickly, never had a problem with the cooking times and the waiters have always been friendly. I've ordered hot chocolate and the waiters have always been quick to refill. Only critique is the cleanliness of the menus, which are sometimes sticky/grubby. read more

This is a Woohoo! Have eaten here several times and have always been happy with the new menu and food selections (all-veggie ultimate omelet is great, not to mention good for us), and especially the service. As usail this dennys survice and food quality as well as the food that most dennys provide, is continuing to get smaller. They no longer provide cottage cheese. It's been 45 minutes and I'm still sitting here waiting for my blueberry pancakes. This dennys is ass

Food was greasy, took two hours for the food to come, and we were like the only table. Hands down worst denny's I have been to.

Best customer service. I can come here anytime, pull out my lap top and eat in a pleasant environment. Really good desserts. My favorite one are the blueberry puppies with ice cream. The waitresses are extremely friendly and always come around to check up on you. Their $2, $4, $6 menu is great. Great place to be productive. read more

This place is usually very good. I noticed they can be very hit or miss when it comes to their service. But when they give us bad service, it isn't bad enough to make us never come back. It usually is something very forgivable. Except that one time where it took over fifteen minutes just to be sat down with most tables empty. The waiters and waitresses are usually awesome. If I have some feedback, I would want them to refill our drinks more often without asking. I give generous tips and come here regularly so maybe that is why they usually are very friendly toward me. read more

One word? Horrible! The manager struts around with major 'tude. Every time I've dined here, they haven't included the value or special menu with the main one, thereby forcing us to ask for it because they're too cheap to actually sell what they advertise. Case in point, I came in once with a friend, who wanted the $6 Endless soup and salad (back when they still offered this). I have had this multiple times at many other Denny's, no problem. Anyway, the picture on the menu for this particular item was for a Caesar salad. Well, when my friend ordered, he wanted Caesar, but the manager said the "Caesar salad" is the only item that is not endless (served only once). Also, service is extremely slow and they take forever to seat you, even when only five tables are taken. AVOID. (BTW, I LOVE ALL OTHER DENNY's but this one reeks bad) read more

Very. Rude. I called in an order. Ten minutes later I see I have a missed called. The woman who initially took the order answered and said she didn't place my order since I didn't answer my phone for the confirmation call. Okay. It would've been nice to have been told to expect that, but I understand. She's very short with me at this point and I feel like hanging up on her. I ask if she can place my order again and her response? "I don't know are you actually going to pick up your phone this time?". Totally unprofessional, rude and just uncalled for. I'm not planning on dealing with this location ever again, this is actually the second time in one week where this woman has been rude. Thanks anyway, Dennys. I hope you can keep your business with an employee who has an obvious attitude problem. read more

We don't ever eat at Denny's but when we do have cravings for breakfast late at night this is the closest to home . Unfortunately this Denny's has the WORST customer service , the manager ( some big guy that you only see up in the front ) never ever working or doing anything else . Very rudely told my husband and I that he could not do a split transaction when we were paying for our bill , we would have to split the food because of their "new" system ?!?? WTF ! McDonalds can split a payment in 3 ways and fucking Denny's can't ?! Ummm ok . He is rude and has the worse personality . Our waiter was really good just feel so bad that he has to be supervised by such an asshole . read more

i am giving this place 5 stars because they've let me throw up in the bathroom so many times (not from food poisoning).

Ok so my daughter went to Denny's on University in Riverside. While eating with friends they found a live worm in there food. Of course they don't want to eat it Jose the manager refused to comp the meals and he won't let her leave until she pays. He's now called the police on her. She's been held there for over an hour. Manager refused to talk to me was on hold for over 40 min when he hung up on me. Think twice about eating at Denny. read more

Came here today and could not wait to have their pumpkin pancakes. I had them before at another Denny's and really enjoyed them. However, the waitress comes out first with my bacon, sausage, hash browns and eggs and tells me that she will be going on break but will have someone bring the pancakes over as soon as possible. So, I waited and almost finished my food when I flagged down a waiter to get my pancakes. Finally, I got my pancakes and I was disappointed because the whip cream on top was super tiny. I asked the waiter why it was so small because it did not look like the picture and I had gotten this before and it was not small. The waiter only said that they have a measure spoon and that was how it was served. I decided to just eat them and the pancakes could of been better. They were a little rubbery and had lots of cinnamon. At least the rest of the food was good. I will not be back anytime soon. read more

I got there around lunch time and was seated near a few other small groups. Besides a few tables, the place seemed empty. 15 min pass and no one had asked for my order. I looked around and noticed that there were a few other tables that were there even before I got in, that hadn't gotten their food. About 25 min AFTER I sat in and had even ordered yet, the group of kids in front of me complained to the manager. They had been waiting nearly an hour to get their food! The place was less than half empty and not busy AT ALL, which was surprising for lunch hour. Probably because all the locals know of it's horrible service. Anyway, after about 30 min, I walked up and told the manager I was leaving. I can't even imagine how much longer after I would have eventually ordered it would haven taken to finally get my food. And no one bothered to follow up with me or the other tables to apologize for the horridly long wait; they just ignored us. Needless to say, I will never be back. read more
