Denny's will always be a guilty favorite of mine, so I was glad there was one nearby while we stayed in Ridgecrest for one night. I hadn't eaten much all day due to having a queasy stomach, so I was quite hungry but didn't want anything too heavy or oily. Ordered a side house salad and buttered toast, which was filling and didn't upset my stomach. Service was nice and friendly. You're supposed to pay at the register in front after your meal, but our server was nice enough to pick up our check from our table. read more

Well, I find my self going back constantly throughout the month, mostly for the simple fact it's one of the only three 24/7 joints in town. The waitress Alexis, is consistently grumpy and generally rude. Likes to give attitude when asking simple questions of availability of menu items. The food... well it's Denny's so sometimes it slaps and sometimes it's straight trash. I suppose it's hit or miss depending on the cook and how generous they are with the hash browns. read more

Terrible!! First, I ordered salad with oil and vinegar. The waiter brought my salad and oil and vinegar, only the vinegar bottle was completely empty. When I brought it to his attention he said they didn't have anymore. Ummm.... Isn't that something you should have mentioned??? Then my salad was full of brown wilted lettuce that had clearly been in the fridge to long. Then my main course, it looked like a 3 year old threw it together. it included broccoli, which was not only not fresh, but completely unseasoned, overlooked, and dry. Last is the desert. I ordered this pancake puppies sundae. The pancake puppies were completely stale, like they had been sitting around for hours, instead of fresh. I will not be returning to this Denny's! Been here before. Just got home with my food and i am mad. My burger's bun is soggy as hell. I ordered a build your own burger and they gave me an extra patty which i didnt want. I couldnt even take a bite without it falling apart im so beyond dissapointed. Even after they said 15 mins till i can pick up I arrived 15 mins lated and just waited 25 mins for my food. I am so displeased. And my appetite is ruined. After such a long day today cant even eat dinner. Its 10:55 pm Sunday June 3rd. Last three times I've ate hear the server was rude . When he wasn't ignoring you he acted as though you were putting him out asking for drinks. He did get nice at the end when it was getting close to tip time , yet he did not receive one . As someone who was a waitress I truly believe you only tip when it is deserved . read more

I was never a big fan of Denny's to begin with, however, it is one of the only places in Ridgecrest to grab a predictable (albeit mediocre) breakfast. Certainly not as good as Cocos or IHOP. The food quality at this Denny's is OK, but not great. The meals are usually prepared correctly, and service is fine. I gave this place a 2 star review primarily because of the uninviting atmosphere inside. Lighting is poor, and the layout is not ideal. I recommend Lugo's instead if you want a more satisfying breakfast. read more

My partner and I went with our niece and nephew for breakfast last Saturday. The food was ok but the server forgot my nieces food. He brought our food out and sat down 3 plates in front of 3 of the 4 people and didn't think anything was wrong. I asked him where my nieces food was, and he said he must have miss entered the order. I ordered the same thing as my niece minus the way the eggs were cooked, so I gave my niece my order and waited for her order to arrive. The food came in about 10 minutes and we switched out the eggs. The food was ok by Denny's standards. If you need cheap fast food, Denny's is okay, but there's better options out there. read more

The INFAMOUS Dennys in Ridgecrest! Haha, the place where all the youngins went to late at night because there was nothing else to do! We have only been here a few months and have tried Denny's 4 times now. It depends on the time and day what service is like. The food is always pretty good. It is diner food, so if you are looking for sanwiches, burgers, greasy findger foods, large breafasts then you are in the right place. Twice it has been so loud that we couldn't have a convo at our own table for others making noise and no one asked them to quiet down. My husband left with a headache and refuses to go back since it has happened more than once. They do offer a military discount, you just need to ask for it and have an ID to show. read more

I'd rate most Denny's as a two star establishment, but this one at the boulevard stop is better than average. It is clean and the food is on the upper range of diner food. The employees are so awesome and friendly! The food here is always great! I have not had any bad times here at Denny's. I'm so glad that they adjusted their menu to include healthier options! My kids always know what they want and the waiters and waitresses are always so kind to them and me. This is one of the few places that are open all night here in Ridgecrest so it's nice to have that option of sitting down for a late night meal or just going there after dancing at Tommy's! Bad customer service. I was here Tuesday night and I order 1 thing and my partner ordered two things. And we called the waitress back to tell her we ordered another thing and she said, " no you didn't " and we both said, " yes we did " and she argued with us and said we did not. Stayed in Ridgecrest while visiting Death Valley. Came 3 years ago and had horrible experiences eating at ethnic restaurants. So, this was our cautious option, and it was actually pretty good. I had potato soup with steak, zucchini, and broccoli. Husband had chicken fried steak. Sons had roast beef, beef salad, and spicy skillet. Everyone was satisfied with his food. One had had the exact same dish at another Denny's in a different city not too long before, and this location did a better job: mashed potatoes were heated through, larger portion of roast beef. Would give them 3 and a 1/2 stars. Pretty good for standard American food, which is just not what we usually like to eat. read more

I feel that Denny's is highly under rated. While traveling up through the high desert, I stopped by the Denny's for a quick pit stop. This place is fantastic - the service was good and the staff help each other (we had multiple people check on our table to make sure our drinks were full and if we needed anything else). I wanted to make sure that this gets out there to the masses that in the small town of Ridgecrest, our Denny's is THE BEST I have ever been to. Doesn't matter the time of day, it is always spectacular. It is always clean, the service is top notch, and the food is always hot and the way I order it. I am a very picky person and like my food a certain way and I can always count on my local Denny's that it will be just the way I asked. When I go at night, Manny makes sure that things are just right, and on occasions he asks if I want something that I have had previously and knows how I like it and what the extras "on the side" are desired. Ronnie in the morning will make sure that when you want salsa with your meal you get it (in dance form) and on the side or both. Last night I went to a different local restaurant to "try" it for a 3rd time to see if I would go back again - well after I concluded that would NOT happen again for numerous reasons I went to Denny's where I got a wonderful meal and it was made just the way it should be - cooked completely, served hot and also my glass of tea never had a chance to empty. I have gone to other Denny's restaurants that are nearby and even across the country, but none can measure up to this one. I love love love my local Denny's and in my book they are #1 in the Denny's chain or restaurants. Keep up the fantastic work and I will definitely be coming back many times over. read more

One star is being generous! Went there for lunch with my niece and to start, the service was slow! When food did come the so-called chili I ordered was cold and had no flavor at all !! Blah! They finally got around to replacing the chili, but that second bowl still had no flavor so I left it. They need to get food that has some flavor. Would have been better if they'd open up a can off the grocery store shelves. Paid for the so-called food, but left no gratuity as service was actually lacking. This used be a nice place to come with the family for a cheap meal and the kids felt like they were getting a treat. However now I come in to this denny's and get furious as this is the only place to get a shake at a late hour in this town. The wait staff is too preoccupied shooting the breeze with each other or their friends or family to actually do their job. I have tried calling here to make an order for pickup as the website is occasionally down for maintenance and what have you, and it rings through to voicemail. The same employee has told me on a few occasions when this has happened that the phones must be down because they hadn't heard it ring all night. This seems to be awfully convenient as they wouldn't even give the restaurant's phone number to ensure that I had the right number. This employee also seems to let things pile up like dirty milkshake blenders and dirty dishes with half eaten food on them on several tables. They told me when I walked in this time that I'd have to give them an another "like 10 minutes or something" because they were sooo busy. There were maybe 3 tables and the other staff member was waiting on those tables. At any other Denny's in America this would be considered a very slow night at 1am. This to me is unacceptable from any eating establishment but especially one that specializes in short order meals and is across the street from 2 of the most popular drinking establishments in town. read more
