I have been going to Denny's for about two years now the service is great usually the guy with no hair is great goes out of his way to please you the others are learning but a little slow I would order chicken and fries first time food was great second time raw and cold I would always go with my friend he likes dennys too so I would order coffee and ask if I could have a little bit of milk for coffee they bring me there creamer that is no good to me tastes bad so I ask again if I can have a little milk for my coffee they try giveing me that nasty creamer again so I tell him again no milk they get upset because I want milk but the guy who works real hard there he gets me milk no problem so I just order the house salad fries now after two years of ordering hot meals I am very lucky if I get anything hot it's always cold or under cooked or over cooked never do I get a good meal to scared that they won't get it right if I ask nicely if they would make sure it's done and hot it comes way over cooked and cold in the middle after 2years of this I give up now It's like all of Ridgecrest eat at your own risk read more

This Denny's has a fantastic breakfast. I thought it would be like most Denny's but the vegetarian omelet was excellent.

I was in the mood for a good steak but I couldn't justify the cost I saw at other area steakhouses, and opted for the 8 oz. sirloin steak at Denny's. I'm SO glad I did! I like A-1 sauce, but it really didn't need it. It was cooked exactly the way I like it. My server was Peter B. and he was the most professional, attentive, and respectful server that I've had in a very long time. The young man that seated me was courteous as well. I was checked on enough times, but not bugged to death. Eating by myself is a little awkward, but I was very comfortable. The place was hopping when I was there, and everyone looked happy. Excellent service and food. Their burgers are really greasy though. Their chicken Caesar avocado salad is bomb. They also have a chocolate lava cake that is to die for. Thurs. night, March 29th, we ordered dinners to go as we were staying at the Best Western. My husband ordered me Prime Rib Cobb Salad with Blue Cheese dressing and garlic bread which was extra cost. When eating the salad greens with 3-4 small morsels of prime rib, I was so disappointed the salad dressing was not blue cheese but Ranch or something. Tasted terrible to me and after putting It on my salad I couldn't finish eating it. On positive note, the meat was delicious. The Garlic bread order was two pieces of regular sandwich bread smothered with margarine and absolutely no garlic flavor in the least. It wasn't even real butter, so this was a big disappointment and we couldn't eat it. Cost $2 extra. We appreciate them wrapping up our dinner for us and they were tipped handsomely but won't be going back here next time through. read more

Iam here now 5:45 am trying to eat breakfast and go to work. The waitress (Alexis) is tired no smile no welcome no good attitude, she is rude. Like a zombie came back from dead, i think -I hope I am wrong-she freaks out from any non colored eyes non colored hair people. I know....Don't yank my Elite status...Denny's - 4 stars you say??? Yes This Denny's is very cool. The staff here are amazingly upbeat, friendly and seem to have a really good time working together. You've got the sweetheart of a manager (I think) Johnny who is funnier than anything. There's the "Mom" server, the "Singing" server and the list goes on and on and on.... Aside from staff being friendly and personable, they have their act together and provide great service. The food you say? BF had an Ultimate Omelet with Egg Whites and believe it or not, it was outstanding!! Really!!! Sausage, bacon, onions, mushrooms, cheese...this thing was HUGE! I mean FILLED with all these great ingredients! The mushrooms weren't soggy or overcooked, the onion still had a little bite to it and the bacon was crispy as all get out...... I've been to a lot of Denny's restaurants in my day, but this one really made an impact on me. First of all, I'm pretty sure this is the only Denny's within something like a 100 mile radius, so if you're really craving some scrambled eggs from a pre-made batter or a crispy slab of hash browns, this is something of an oasis. Second, the atmosphere was more unique than most Denny's. Maybe this is something I just haven't noticed at other locations, but this place had a lot of information about the history of Denny's restaurants on its walls. There was some pretty interesting stuff. Also, the clientele I encountered during my visit was pretty fantastic. People sitting in a booth near ours were talking loudly about a variety of issues one might experience on a ranch (interesting, I guess, because I've never lived on or near a ranch). Another couple tried to apply the unlimited pancake deal to food they wanted in a doggy bag. Lastly, the service was great. Our server, Fernando, was super nice and made our experience there great. Initially, I was disappointed that my mom had wanted to stop at a Denny's when there were lots of other non-chain restaurants on the drive up the 395. All in all, however, I was glad we ate at a chain where the food is always pretty uniform (we had some checkered experiences with hole-in-the-wall places) and this is definitely a location I would return to. read more

Ok I get it, is Denny's cheap food but do they have to have cheap service too? I was craving pancakes so this is the only reason we stopped by, we took a seat on the "counter area" thinking it can't be that hard to get fast service right? Nope. After waiting for a bit I told one of the employees that we were ready to order, she said no problem that she would take our order because our waiter seemed to be engrossed in a lengthy conversation with another employee (she was the hostess). He finally comes around and starts throwing condiments to us, A1 sauce and tapatio for me (for my pancakes, right?) and brings me a LARGE juice ( I ordered small). I grabbed the same girl again and asked her if she could bring us some eating utensils & mentioned to her about the juice & said not to worry I would be charge for the small one. Waited a bit longer for our food, waiter slams a plate of veggie burger (not mine) at me w out even asking if that's what I order. I point out his mistake and w out missing a beat just slides it to the side and again throws my food on the counter. At this point I'm just done with him, he never talked to us, just threw stuff at us (they were not busy). As we were trying to eat our food we start hearing his conversation with a waitress & all we can keep hearing was the word "cerote" which if you don't speak spanish it means "turd" ...yup not something you want to hear when you are eating . Stopped here on our way to Mammoth. Service was good, parking is very adequate, especially for a truck towing a trailer which is a nice bonus but the food was not good, even by Denny's standards. Maybe we caught it on a bad day but the biscuit I ordered was hard and tasted a bit stale, the bacon was way over-done. My wife ordered two sunny-side up eggs, one was sunny-side up while the other wasn't and there was egg yolk all over her pancakes. Hash browns looked rather nasty as well. Okay, I used to hate Denny's. As in, if there were two in town I wasn't going to "the good one". I wouldn't go AT ALL. This Denny's has changed my mind! Even when they are busy we are seated quickly. The food is always great. Even when I make my orders all special since I'm gluten and lactose intolerant, the food is always right and fast. LOVE that! Also, my husband is one of those people who drinks a lot when he eats, around 4-5 glasses each time. The wait staff here is always right on it and he never goes thirsty. We never get out of there without the manager asking how things were, at both of them are nice as well. The waiters and waitresses know how to interact and joke with people. I can honestly say that Denny's is our new favorite place! I never thought I would say that in my LIFE. read more

Denny's is one of the most dishonest, crookedest restaurant chains in the US. I've been to this Denny's many times (with a group, unfortunately, so I had no choice) and I have ALWAYS been handed a padded bill for junk I never ordered. All Denny's have a steak sandwich which they claim, has prime rib in it, which is a flat out lie. Even their servers admit there's no prime rib, yet it's been on the menu for years. People who rate any Denny's as a 4- or 5-star place to eat either don't know food from feces, or are employees. Anyone who goes in after 2 AM is going to be cheated, since their cash registers are automatically set to raise prices after 2 AM. Denny's explanation? We get back and they said they are out of tots. 2 meals included tots so we had to order 2 different meals. We went to Denny's this morning for breakfast which we do about once a month. Today's experience was not up to par. The kitchen personnel were yelling across the restaurant in a foreign language, not sure what. There was one of the servers walking around the place whistling as loudly as he could. My husband ordered four eggs our server wrote down four eggs, he got two eggs. Many of the servers were standing ina group speaking Spanish while three of the servers were working their tails off, ours included. It just was not the usual Denny's experience. read more
