Apparently this is a 'grand slamwhich '

I should have checked their rating before ordering. I ordered a grand slamwhich and biscuts n gravy for delivery. I got some club sandwich (w/ avo which i hate!) Hashbrowns and BnG. I scraped the avo and disgustingly wilted lettuce off, but it was still horrible. The BnG (apparently made just 12min before i tried it) was beyond cold, inedible. The only thing that was ok, was the Hashbrowns. Thankfully doordash refunded me, but dear god how could you screw that up!

Servers all acted like they hated their jobs and didn't even smile. Coffee was so burnt tasting I couldn't drink it. Politely asked for another cup it was most likely the same burnt coffee. Waited for a really long time for food to come out. When the food came out it was disappointing. Hash browns were under cooked, biscuits are super flat. Oh yah did I mention the food came out on a plate that wasn't clean? In this economy it's become a treat for many people to eat out and to get this terrible service and food and have to pay for it is just really disappointing to say the least.

The breakfast was ok, not bad. You are safe ordering a breakfast which is available 24 hours per day. The cost is low and service is good when it is not busy. The only problem is it is a little warm inside.

Hubby and I had late night cravings while visiting friends in Patterson. We called in our order and picked it up right before closing. The lady who helped us was extremely sweet and made check-out such a breeze. She made sure to go through our order in front of us to make sure nothing was missing. When we brought the food home, we were very satisfied with our meals. We both ordered the slamburger. It came with PLENTY of fries ;) The burger itself was delicious and perfectly cooked. All the ingredients worked so well with each other. We both were so satisfied with our meals. I'm sure we will have to pay this place a visit again sometime in the future, as we have been here in the past before. It has always been consistently great.

The only thing decent here is the breakfast menu and that is screwed up by cut corners and no one checking the quality of the food they're serving. I live local and I keep trying to like this place but each time I'm disappointed. Then you add in that this place is filthy every time I'm in there. They need to hire professional cleaners to scrub the bathrooms thoroughly, dust blinds and light fixtures. They need to vacuum and shampoo the rugs. Wipe down the furniture from top to bottom. It's old but with proper scrubbing, would clean up. I sent my food back, and it wasn't remedied. I opted for cold eggs over another waitress spitting in my food. I thought this because the gal didn't seem to be able to handle me criticizing the food. I asked her for hot sauce to help me choke down my cold eggs. She said sure and ran off to never return (I'm assuming to punish me for not silently taking the bad service). I flagged someone else down to get it. When I finished. My waitress said she would like to offer me 10% off for my trouble. I said thank you. When the bill came, there wasn't a discount and I was charged incorrectly. This upset me. I paid my bill and tipped 15% anyway. I am so disappointed and want to tell everyone out there, to go to Denny's instead. At least it's clean and your food will be cooked to order. This mom and pop place isn't worth it. No matter how badly I want to support local business.

This visit happened to fall on Mother's Day weekend. We had reservations for both Saturday and Sunday, but we stopped in on Saturday to cancel that day's reservation since we'd already eaten lunch and knew we wouldn't be hungry by dinnertime. On Sunday, when we checked in for our reservation, I was impressed -- the hostess remembered us by name, which says a lot considering how many guests come through the restaurant. We were seated, and soon after we were greeted by Eleanor, our server. She was warm, attentive, and never made us feel pressured, which was a huge improvement from a previous visit. She answered every question I had, including how they cook a medium‑rare steak (every chef has their own interpretation, lol). She also gave an honest answer when I asked whether the vegetables used at dinner come from their greenhouse. The service felt genuine, and the food was excellent -- a much better experience than my last review. This visit was absolutely worth the return. Kudos to Eleanor and the Kitchen at The Mission.

The staff aware all polite and helpful. I had to wait a bit longer than expected but I grabbed the pizzas and took them to the car and was first of all shocked at how beautiful the pizza was. I got the California veggie pizza without mushrooms and added pepperoni, with gluten free crust. My husband got the same but not gluten free. This was one of the best gluten free pizzas I've EVER had. Everything as clearly freshly made. Amazing. Sad it's so far away from where I live! On the way out I checked out prices for the hotel...about 200 bucks a night. Totally reasonable. We'll be back here next time we're heading through this area!

The Champions Breakfast platter was a great choice for our kids to share. It was one of the better fruit bowls I've seen, with a variety of fresh berries and oranges. I've been stalling on doing a review because I felt that the day that we went must've been an odd day off or when the regular cook wasn't there. When we arrived, there was only one other couple at the restaurants and only a couple came during the time that we were there. It was definitely a slow day or time. Since we were the only folks there ordering I asked for my hashbrowns to be crispy, and the Hubbs asked for no eggs and the server offered potatoes, which was very nice to offer the swap. Unfortunately, rather than just my hashbrowns being crispy, my eggs were well overdone as well as my pancakes. This left my pancakes, dry and flat rather than moist and fluffy and my eggs rubbery. I asked for salsa to help the overcooked eggs out, but they were still not good. The Hubbs enjoyed his breakfast, but said his gravy had no sausage flavor and were bland. He added pepper and ended up also sprinkling some hot sauce on them. Coffee is Farmers Brothers and tasted more like hot water with a hint of coffee flavor. Additionally, there's a cute, small pet park for furry friends. The hotel also features a pond filled with colorful koi fish and another pond with waterfalls. We spotted an adorable turtle just hanging out with some fake ducks. There are a couple of areas with fire pits, and there's even a rose garden. I found a spot where you can play bocce and horseshoes. The courtyard is definitely fun to explore, and the restaurant's view is fantastic. I also learned about a bar called The Lounge. We had to wait for ten minutes because the staff member at the desk said the server would return by then. Regardless, the food was excellent both times, so the restaurant kicks ass even though the service doesn't. There are many places to visit outside the hotel. The Korean Memorial is nearby, but we skipped it yesterday. Instead, we discovered a few parks with trails that offer beautiful views of the hills and the San Luis Reservoir. The atmosphere is really the standout feature here. The mansion itself is stunning, elegant without feeling stuffy, with ornate architecture, sweeping staircases, fireplaces, formal dining rooms, outdoor seating areas, and beautifully maintained grounds. It feels somewhere between a historic estate and a wedding venue, which makes brunch feel more like an event than just a meal. There were several seating areas throughout the mansion, and part of the fun was simply walking around and taking in the property. The brunch buffet was genuinely elevated compared to a typical hotel-style brunch. There was a wide variety of offerings and everything we tried was very good. The spread included prime rib, eggs Benedict, roasted vegetables, salads, French toast, assorted side dishes, rolls, scones, and an impressive dessert table with mousses, pastries, chocolate-covered strawberries, and other desserts that looked almost too polished to eat. The buffet struck a nice balance between breakfast and lunch options without feeling repetitive. Service was also strong. Since it's buffet-style, the staff isn't taking entrée orders, but the waitstaff did a very good job keeping drinks filled, bringing silverware, answering questions, and making guests feel comfortable. Mimosas, orange juice, and water were included with the flat brunch price, which helped the experience feel more complete and relaxed rather than transactional. The main reason this stops short of a full 5 stars is that the experience feels slightly more "special occasion venue" than fine dining destination, if that distinction makes sense. But for a Sunday brunch outing, especially with family, celebrations, or out-of-town guests, it's absolutely worth experiencing at least once. A very memorable brunch in a truly unique setting.
