At this one we had really good service from Evan but the kitchen needs to pay closer attention I had the chicken fried steak and the mashed potatoes were soured but Evan apologized and got me something else and when we ordered the 3 starters, onion rings and waffle ff and chicken strips when it arrived with seasoned ff instead we were told they were out of the waffle ff.The food we did get was allright and Evan was a very good server As a chef this franchise can do better!! read more

The upgrades to the restaurant are very nice but that's not why we go there. I go there because they have the nicest girls and guys working for them that I have met in any restaurant anywhere except the Denny's in Red Bluff who also has wonderful girls and guys. I came into the restaurant late at night early morning from a long drive very tired I was seated promptly and with a warm greeting from cody he mentioned he was from the Chico Denny's and was filling in well glad for me I got the pleasure of meeting this fellow. Although the food wasn't terrible and the service was actually just fine, our waitress was polite and attentive. Oroville Dennys is not supporting our local student athletes with the Bogo Discount Cards. Apparently there was a mix up and this year it was unauthorized. Although i can sympathize with Dennys the amount they are giving up in sales pales in comparison to not supporting our local students. i for one will no longer be supporting our local Dennys as a result. read more

I've tried to give this restaurant a 2nd chance but I'm done. I took my 5 and 9 year old grandchildren here for breakfast and it was the worst! The kid's breakfast French toast consisted of just one very small, very thin piece of French toast cut in half, that's it. It was not enough food for 2 year old. I had to order them a second order just so they had enough food to eat. I ordered a ham and cheese omelette that had very cold ham thrown in the middle with unmelted American cheese. When I cut into it, I literally could pick up the whole slice of cold cheese. I will never go back again. read more

This has to be the worst Denny's I've ever been in! Upon entering, and standing there waiting to be seated, the Hostess continued to ignore us, even though there was no one else before us. Once she finally acknowledged us and showed us to our table, the menus were dropped on the table and she disappeared without saying a thing. This also is the dirtiest Denny's I've ever seen, with food and paper stuff all over the floor! The bathrooms were atrocious and needed a good cleaning, with only one of the two sinks functioning. The food took along time to arrive and was o.k. The best part of this experience was the waitress, who was pleasant, helpful and nice. Service was slow and some of the waiters/waitresses were cussing. Didn't serve an olderly lady within thirty or so minutes of being there but served others who barely got there. Food was burnt and splattered all over like thrown on plate. cup was dirty with blue pieces of somwthing. read more

The food is consistently average diner food. Wait staff has always been very friendly and accommodating. I wish they would wipe tables and sides and benches with a clean cloth and some kind of disinfectant! Every time I come here the food is decent except for the last time. Me, my boyfriend and a few friends came in and ordered. We all got our separate orders placed and we all got our food at different times, I ordered a piece of apple pie with ice cream and the waiter microwaved it and he said "it fell apart when he took it out of the box" it was all crumbled up and the ice cream was melted, it tasted undercooked and was not good at all. Food was awesome and the hostess/cashier was AMAZING. I got it to go and only tipped a buck but should have given her more. I think her name was Maribel and she really took good care of our order and communicated every thing to us like a pro. Service was sub-par. Not the worst I've ever had, but pretty close. They automatically tried to charge a 20% tip and pass it off as the total (and although I'm a pretty generous tipper, it really annoys me when people try to cheat me out of my money). Food was standard for what you get at most other Denny's, but it came out slow and a couple of the service personnel seemed more interested in their visiting friends than the surrounding customers (of which there were many). If you been to this Denny's you should know what it is like there already. Every single time I go there I always end up in disappointment. The servers are unprofessional except for the older women who work there. Waiting for the food is a pain and when your food do get to you it will upset you even more. The food are sloppy and the quantity of it just doesn't match up with all the other Denny's I've been to. Don't order their steaks btw, every single time I do the meat looks old like it's been kept frozen for a very very long time. No wonder this place is so empty. Go to Gold Country Casino & Hotel they have cheap but very good food buffet. Planned to have breakfast with the whole family(20people) before we head back home from the camping here at denny's. The waitress took our orders after 30min we got seated. Waited for almost 2hours for our food that never came. They keep on saying to wait for 10min then one waitress said that one of the chef took a break when we arrived & just came back. The service here really is quite terrible. There's one waitress who actually has some customer service skills,but as for the rest,they make it well known that they hate their job. They are often snarky,slow,and act as if they're in a huge hurry for you to leave(which of course they are).
